This was my favorite restaurant as a kid in Fairfax, so I was very excited to learn there is a location 6 miles from my home now. The app said they deliver here so I placed a large order for my family, paid, and waited. They just called and said we are«very far» away and they will not bring our food. If you say you deliver, you should follow through. Disappointing, and poor service!

Really enjoy this place. They’ve got great wings, and great pizza. My biggest reason liking it is the owner. Working hard to get his family restaurant going, and cares about his customers. When we were there, we were streaming a game on our phones not available on TV. He was nice enough to say we could hook it up to the big TV if we had the equipment. Just nice to hear he’ll do what he can for us. Give it a shot. It’s worth your time.

Filthy. Had a take out order. The tables have trash all over them, the kitchen is filth with dirty dishes piled on any open space. There is a sign that they are hiring for three different positions. Go figure. Who would want to work there, let alone eat there.

Please don’t give this restaurant any of your business. Other than the garlic knots and gyro, the food is mediocre. The owner was incredibly intense and sarcastic when ordering and when we complained that the pizza was dry and overcooked he was very aggressive, intimidating, and gave us a lecture how he’s good at what he does and how he’s never had a complaint in 30 years. He literally scared my wife and mother. To accommodate our displeasure he offered us our money back and a substitute order. The order happened, the refund didn’t. We received scowls and dirty looks from him and his bartender, and it was to the point where other guests were wondering what was happening. Almost forgot to mention that there was a hair in my gyro, and the owner came over and yelled at me for leaving a negative review while typing this. For a small business owner who is trying to make it he is heading down hill with his grotesque demeanor. It’s unfortunate, because the Gyro was pretty good.

Ordered because my neighbors recommended them and they deliver. Ordered a large 1-topping with pepperoni. Pizza is not bad, decent for Virginia. I have definitely had much better pizza in New York City but this place delivers to my house! I would have given them more stars — but they have a $ 30 minimum for delivery!!! One pizza and 10 wings is not enough to get to $ 30, but they were nice enough to deliver it to me anyway just this once. I’m not sure I’d order from them again unless I was dining in or picking up. $ 30 is a little too steep for delivery. Notably other pizza places nearby that deliver do not have such a high delivery minimum.

The pizza is good. That is the strength of this place. A bit on the high end of the price range but not silly. The real issue is the ownership. Proprietor has a horrible reputation as a prick, and it is in my view in some sense deserved. Not a generous spirit. I know people who detest the guy so much they will drive miles to the other place in the village…

Subpar food, unfriendly owner. Sauce tastes very Chef Boyardee like and most ingredients don’t taste fresh. Not very kid friendly. For a spot in Great Falls with nothing but families they should get used to kids.

This is not a family friendly place, if you have little children dont go there, if your children even so much as get out of their seat to roam around, the owner himself will embarrass you in front of others, then talk down to you in his own language. also the food we got was very poor. I will never go there again.

I hadn’t been to Pizzarama in years– since it first opened– however, I was in Great Falls and decided to give it another shot. I figured there was no way it could be as bad as it was years ago. Boy was I wrong. Terrible service and greasy pizza. No, no, no. Do not go.

Garlic knots are delicious!!! Overall it is a great family owned restaurant. We thought pizza sauce was bit more sweeter for my family likes… along the lines of Ledo pizza. We will def. go back and try other items on the menu.

I had the garlic knots(not the greasy mess I was expecting– super soft and came with an awesome tomato dipping sauce), and a greek chicken salad which had a good dressing. My companion had a calizone. We both enjoyed our meal and will be back! This is good, casual Italian that is a major step up from a chain pizza place, but don’t expect fine dining.

We got delivery from here and the food was good. I prefer this place to Santini’s anytime. This was a normal run of the mill Italian place with good food. I would definitely order from them again.

The Good: It was food. It was ready quickly. The Bad: They got my order wrong — ordered a Stromboli, got a Calzone. The Ugly: Food should not make you angry. I have never had more flavorless food in my life. I was excited by the reviews and looking forward to dinner as we do not eat out often. But it was terrible. The bread of the calzone was not seasoned in any way, and neither were any of the ingredients inside(steak, onion, pepper). Nothing had any flavor what so ever except for the sauce that came with it — which literally tasted like watered down tomato paste. It actually ranks highly among the worst meals I have ever eaten. Needless to say, we will not be returning to this establishment.

Haven’t been here in a while they added new bar area, it rocks! Best kept secret in area for lunch Food very good. They will be seeing me more as long as the quality is there, I am in. Ordered the steak and cheese it was better than Santinis.

Always, consistently great food. Very family friendly, best pizza around! Try the gyro salad and the white pizzas, always a family favorite! After the remodel, they now serve beer and wine. Such a great local place that undoubtedly deserves all our support!

The Missus and I have started frequenting this place on weekend afternoons and occasional evenings. She likes the NY-style thin crust pizza they have, and I don’t have any particular complaints about it either. We usually get a pepperoni/ham/extra cheese mix on ours that satisfies the two of us. At first we got the large, but that was too much for the two of us, so we knocked it back one size and that has seemed to do us just right. Recently they did some remodeling in the place and have really opened it up to more seating and space. The staff is very friendly, and by the numerous pictures on the wall, the management is very family-focused. One catch is that if you eat in the restaurant, you get a plastic cup for your bottomless drink. But, if, at the end of the meal, you want to get a drink to-go, that costs extra.

Pizzarama is a small, family-owned restaurant, so it shouldn’t be a surprise that Pizzarama exhibits both the profits and plagues that many small restaurants do. The food is good, to be sure, and the ingredients are always fresh. But the prices are fairly high for such a casual place, especially for the pizzas, and its out-of-the-way location diminishes otherwise appealing lunch specials. Pizzarama’s greatest strength is its collection of subs and sandwiches. Each time I have ordered a sub from Pizzarama, the results have been fabulous. Pizzarama’s sub assortment is fairly standard, moving from the Chicken Parmigiana to the Steak and Cheese to the Meatball Sub…(you get the picture). But Pizzarama makes their subs so well, it’s likely that you will be pleased with whatever you choose. Pizzarama accents their clear forte with attractive weekday lunch specials: an 8″ sub with fries and a soda for $ 8. But while these deals seem enticing(and they are), they suffer from a series of crucial drawbacks. For one, most people in the DC area will not find themselves in Great Falls during(weekday) lunch hours. This alone renders the specials somewhat moot, since they are not available for weekends or weekday dinners. Secondly, the lunch specials do not come with free refills for your soda. This is simply poor form. Not holding prime real estate for your business is understandable; limiting my soda intake is not. And while I understand that this may be a small gripe, it certainly sews the seeds of doubt in my mind that Pizzarama may be cost-cutting in other, less obvious ways. Pizzarama’s namesake(the pizza) is pretty good in an absolute sense. It certainly beats out any of the major pizza chains that exist in the area(e.g. Dominos, etc.). And Pizzarama also offers a few forays into less-traveled territory with dishes like the Taco Pizza. But here again Pizzarama makes a strange business decision: individual-sized(10″) pizzas are not available for dinner. So if you and your partner do not share a pizza, you’re left with a pizza that’s too large or no pizza at all. I understand that Pizzarama wants you to purchase the more expensive medium-sized pizzas… but this simply isn’t the best way to do business. But the ultimate problem with Pizzarama is that it lends itself so easily towards a comparison with the far superior Deli Italiano, located five minutes down the same street. In fact, the only real advantage that Pizzarama has is that it can seat more people.(But considering that Deli Italiano is primarily a delivery/take-out joint, this comparison hardly seems valid.) Deli Italiano’s pizzas are better, it’s menu larger, and its prices comparable. Ouch. So try Pizzarama out if you find yourself in the area. You will like what you eat. But just know that there is a very real possibility that another, stronger restaurant is only five minutes away. — Pros: Good food, great lunch specials, kind and attentive service Cons: Strange business tactics, remote location weakens its specials

We had our annual pizza party for fantasy football and I have convinced my colleagues to order from a non chain place. By recommendation Pizzarama was brought to our attention so we ordered 5 pizzas. I loved all the pizza and so did everyone else, you can always tell when there is no remnants of pizza at the end, not even any crust. Crust was good, very NYC like, thin and crusty. The tomato sauce was tasty and just the right amount. Cheeses and toppings were fresh and they didn’t skimp either. My favorite was the white pizza. This was delicious and I think I could eat a whole large myself. I for sure grabbed a menu off a box and hope they deliver to South Reston.
