Our family loves this place! The food is awesome, and the servers have always been great. I don’t understand how they are so empty during the evenings, their food is some of the best in town! Please give it a try!

This is your father’s diner. It’s the breakfast of your youth — toasted bread slathered in butter, squiggly hash browns served crispy, eggs however you like ‘em, and if you’re smart, a small, well-seasoned steak on the side. It is every breakfast I ever ate out with my parents. Every stack of pancakes. Every pig in a blanket. Every fried egg. Every fruit cocktail salad. And I like this place because of that. Service is always very friendly. Food is usually quick. Coffee is refilled often. And the location in cute downtown Gresham makes for a nice stroll after a meal.

This place is great! The prices are comparable to other diners. $ 11 for handmade country fried steak with 2 eggs and home fries. My mother had an omelet that was loaded with goods. Delicious and fresh tasting. The chicken fried steak tasted like none other, the best I have ever had. Cute area of Gresham. The eggs are made true to request. Big one for me. I recommend this place for anyone whose hungry for good homemade meals. Wish I had room for pie. Plenty of room in this establishment for larger parties and also has a bar in the back. Very clean looking and organized. Polite and seemed to have a great base of regulars. I will be coming back.

Have been here quite a few times and although it is one of those typical ‘local’ places, the food is pretty decent and pretty good biscuits and gravy! Aside from who I believe is the owners son, who is great btw, the other typical bar staff service typically leaves a little to be desired. As I said, one of those places if you aren’t a ‘regular,’ you are definitely not treated in the same manner, which I typically have zero tolerance for. But, if you are into good food and drink, watching the band, or playing video crack, and not relying on bar service, it is a decent option.

Nice people, decent food. Not very flavorful, but it was alright & didn’t break the bank. Had a Monte Cristo & fries. It looked great but just didn’t taste like much. I’m told they cater to older folks & therefore try not to use a lot of salt. Not sure how true this is, but from my experience this would make sense.

I have to stay, I was pleasantly surprised by this place. It looks like a place where you would see a large variety of the weekday retirees stopping in for bland food, or to hang out in the karaōke lounge that is in the back. HOWEVER. I took my husband, and my 3 children, all under 10, on a weekday evening and not only was the service superb(Thank you Jackie), but the food was fresh, not greasy, and they were willing to give us whatever we wanted, even if it wasn’t on the menu. My kids left full, with a box of leftovers, and we spent about $ 50 for 5 of us. I’ve gone back for breakfast as well, and the cost doesn’t hit the wallet hard, and the food is fast, with great service and very edible food. The best thing is-it’s less than 5 minutes from our house and we don’t have to drive to other parts of Portland for decent pancakes and food cooked perfectly.

*Breakfast Review* Coffee was really good, waitress in yoga pants, decent body, but not attire for work, was inattentive. I specifically asked if the gravy was made in house, didn’t think to ask about the biscuits… they were from frozen. Nasty. Couldn’t eat it. Seems silly to make gravy and waste it on frozen garbage. If she was a good waitress she would have said the biscuits were not made in house after my query. Sad. I would have just ordered something different had I known. She never came to the table in a reasonable time for me to order something different, I had to call her over after about 10 minutes of her behind the alcove. My beau had an omelet that he loved. We will return, and I’ll order something different. Perhaps gravy over hash browns. The gravy was good.

My friend took me here New Years day for some good old breakfast food. I ordered the biscuits & gravy and it was excellent! He ordered an omelet that had everything in it, I had to steal a few bites of it, it was so good! The waitress was really friendly too, her happy attitude and jokes made up for her lack of service. We had to ask for hot sauce, ketchup and lemons for my water a couple times. Over all I will definitely be returning, it’s wonderful when you find a local diner that’s been apart of the community for so long!

Great breakfast stop; standards done perfectly. They’ve gone to a Papa Hyden’s floor plan, which is why I don’t give 5 stars. I prefer booths. Service good, food good. Parking can be tricky if you are a late breakfast type.

The food was absolutely delicious! We ordered omelets and they were cooked well. Potatoes and hash browns were so so good. Only reason for 4 stars is the service was a little slow. Maybe we went at a busy time, but there were only 2 servers for the whole place. But the staff is very friendly. We’ll be coming back!

Live music, zero cover, biker friendly… The food is generic bar food, drinks are stiff awesome dance floor. Downfall… I think it is the local dive bar drawing some shifty characters… Will it stop me patronizing the establishment? Hell NO! every now and again I like to get down and dirty… snicker…

Readers beware… I love a good dive bar! So my review will be as a dive bar patron… My husband and I are new to town and stumbled across this place«fallowing the music» as we walked in the band went on a break. Ordered a beer and played some lotto. As a younger couple my husband and I did notice it is an older crowd who hangs out at this bar.(Totally fine with us!) As the band started playing again. THEYWEREAWSOME! I believe the band name was crush?! Had everyone up and dancing. Doing the best covers I’ve heard probably ever. This place is GIANT. My tip

We were sent here by a friend because they have breakfast all day! I had the Reuben with tots which was really good! A tender center is very important to us tot lovers! My husband has the hot roast beef he said it was very tasty too! Our server was Jackie and she was very sweet and never let our soda go empty! Thanks for the great dinner it was a great first impression!

Great place! Good food, good service, fair prices! I’ve loved everything we’ve ever tried here. And, the wait staff are VERY nice and give good service. My only note to management would be, read the ingredient labels for the things you are putting on the table, like ketchup, etc. Please, don’t buy the products with High Fructose Corn Syrup when there are better products with same or cheaper prices!!! Especially pointing out the ketchup!!! Hint, hint.

We needed a place to eat before going to a birthday party and had never been here before. It was a great experience. Sat in bar to eat and we were there long enough to hear the band start playing. The waitress was very nice and food was delicious and you could actually taste the alcohol in the drinks. We will be back. And liked that they have live music on Friday and Saturday.

Good food — typical type of diner food… Ruebens, Burgers etc. Breakfasts are really good too. Their remodel in the restaurant turned out really nice and the waiter with the bandanna-worn-headband-style really does bring the whole atmosphere up a notch… very cheery and accommodating!

My wife and I decided to try M&M for breakfast this weekend. We hadn’t been there for several years. Upon entering the restaurant, I was pleasantly surprised by the updated wood floors and tables When I looked at the menu, the prices were still reasonable. We both decided to try the breakfast special– roast beef hash. And then we waited. And waited. And waited. No coffee refills, no sign of our server. Patience was a virtue until I noticed nearly 30 minutes had gone by. When we asked a server when our breakfast might be ready, she agreed to check for us. And like magic, our server refilled our coffee, and gave us an update on when our food would be coming out Our breakfasts were finally served and we tried the roast beef hash. Dry. Overcooked. Not much flavor. On the plus side, the service was much improved and we had a good time in spite of the disappointing breakfast. To sum up, a friendly environment, great staff, but the food needs a little more attention.

M&M stands for Mmmmm food. All the years I had grown up in Gresham and I had never tried out M&M. On the search for breakfast we came across the M&M and decided to venture in. The staff greeted us with a smile and told us we could sit wherever we wanted. Almost immediately we were served with water and coffee. What did we order?! EVERYTHING. Pancake — perfectly fluffy and syrup was warmed. Hashbrowns were crispy. Nothing out of the ordinary here. Sausages…they gave me 4. Holy crap! Eggs…always a breakfast staple. My breakfast meal also came with toast that I couldn’t even manage to eat. You ever just want one bite of everything that sounds good? Yep. That just happened. Only qualm is that they did not return to refill my coffee. Actually they just asked my date if they wanted a refill and kind of ignored me… hmmm. Definitely a locals joint. Friendly staff. Typical diner feel. Prices are fair.
