Awesome Huge Burgers! Also has Burger eating challenge if you dare! Picture on their wall of fame win or lose. Burgers are handmade and made to order so come 15 mins before you are hungry. Lumpia is very tasty also.

Favorite burger in the area hands down. Fries are good too! Been going here for years.

Ok, but has it shortcomings. No air-conditioning is the first one. I ordered the gyro. I asked what was on the gyro. The lady at the register didn’t know. I asked for mushrooms. They were canned. The onion was not chopped up, just a ring cut. Not easy to eat on a gyro. The meat was not cooked enough, no browning on it. The taziki sauce was bland and thin. It may have been cucumber dressing? I may have done better with a hot dog, but how hard is it to make a hot dog? And there was no air conditioning. It was cooler outside, felt like 80 degrees inside.

Great food as always! Good cooked to order food, and simple menu. Had the quarter pound dog, fries and ice tea. The bun was a little dry but flavors were spot on. The food was Ono!

I had slaw dog and sweet potato fries. Both were great. Food tasted fresh and vet delish!

This place was okay, I can make the same exact burger at home. I got the lil kahuna. It was a little uncomfortable because the owners of the place(I’m assuming) were arguing while my friend, her daughter and I and three other customers were in there eating. Since they do not have a tv it was quite entertaining to us hahaha Right when I ordered my food I could tell that the cashier lady was having a bad day, she just seemed so blah. I don’t think I will be returning here again.

The atmosphere is great, makes us feel like we’re in Hawaii so it lives up to it’s name. However, the hot dogs and burgers are really just your typical ones that you can make at home. If you need a quick bite, this is the place. Otherwise, I’d buy a pack of hot dogs and buns at the store and make it at home for much less.

If you are looking it for an uppity burger joint(nothing against those because we enjoy them as well), this is not your place. If instead, you are looking for a place that has a more comfortable/relaxed feel, this is right up your alley. You can’t help but notice the giant wall of pictures to the left when you walk in and after reading reviews, realized it had to do with eating a two pound burger(you can always add additional pounds of meat if you find it necessary!) and fries. My husband took on the challenge and succeeded and may or may not have stumbled out after all was said and done. It’s a fun experience, though. And a picture on the wall if you succeed? Why not! I did see a small section of «losers» who weren’t able to finish the challenge and their faces in their pictures were enough for a good laugh. The cashier let us know that they update all the pictures on their website, as well. I was not as brave as my husband and went for the Lil’ Kahuna, which is a ¼ lb(normal!) burger and it was pretty tasty. The burger and fry challenge was $ 16.00 and my burger was $ 4.25 and a side of sweet potato fries were $ 3.00. We will be back here, but probably not for another challenge! Maybe next time we will try the lumpia!

This place is okay. The owner is super friendly. My husband and I both ordered burgers and there was an off taste to them. They seasoning tasted weird. There is absolutely nothing special about the food that would draw me back to this place. So far the best burgers we have had in the area is from Farmhaus downtown.

Most of the food is good enough, but the real reason to go is the burger challenge. IIRC it starts at two pounds and guess up from there. Also, they have lumpia. It doesn’t fit well with the rest of the menu, I think, but it’s good and this is the only place around here that I’ve seen it in a menu

This establishment is actually quite amazing in terms of atmosphere and service. The owners of this restaurant appear to be running the register and the grill, which is pretty neat. The only complaint I have is that the burgers just aren’t that great. It would help if they started to elevate a bit with different cheese. Nothing destroys a burger, to me, more quickly than a slice of American cheese. Their hot dogs are pretty darned good, though, and the atmosphere and staff are truly amazing and approachable. This place is great, I just wish their burgers were a bit better.

ehhh … did not try the burgers but it would not matter… the cashier was awful towards us… had no personality and when i asked a question, she acted like she was doing me a big favor by answering my question… soooo no lol

I’ve only eaten here a few times and got it as takeout. You get a lot of food for your money, and it’s good food. I’m a pretty big guy and I usually don’t finish my meal because it’s so filling.

A Hawaiin-themed hot-dog/hamburger joint with reasonable-to-slightly higher prices. Food is made to order and has a variety of toppings. I regularly get the«long board», a foot-long hot dog, and every time I regret it because I smell them cooking the hamburgers and it smells SO good. The hot dogs are great, too, though. Seating is at a premium around lunch time, but there are two picnic tables in the dining room to suit larger groups. There’s a wall-mounted TV that they use to play movies, but it’s really just background noise, cuz who’s really sitting in the dining room for 2+ hours to see«Armageddon»?

I was craving a burger. Came here because it wasn’t McDonald’s. Next time I’ll come here because they make a bad-ass burger. Just under $ 12 for a ½ pound burger, very quality fries, and a drink. Who knows, maybe next time I’ll get on yhe 2lb burger challenge wall.

The burger was pretty good! I definitely recommend this place and will go back the next time I’m craving a burger. It’s small on the inside so it could get full quickly in there during a busy time.

I was craving a freshly cooked burger. There are some great places around town and I would rank them in tier. I am particular about great customer service and the people here were extremely nice. I did find the prices pretty high in comparison to their competitors. The décor is not top notch but follows the Hawaiian theme. I will recommend the long boards.

The problem with food challenges is that they always leave you in a bleak, bloated limbo between pride and regret. Hula Dawgs avoids half of that problem by serving an amazing burger. Satisfyingly greasy and salty without being overly so, these are like bigger InNOut’s patties. If you’re going for a meal, go. These burgers are fresh made and easily archetypes of hole-in-wall, handmade patties. It’s hard to imagine anyone being disappointed by them If you’re going to put your pic on the wall, the challenge is easy enough. Usually the worry is that bigger burgers come with bigger buns. But here the patties are stacked high on a standard bun. I could see a 3 – 4 lb challenge being done by someone with a good appetite. All I know is, after my 2 lb burger, I wanted more. The service is great, it seems to be run by a couple. The guy is really pleased to take your picture after you down a challenge(or don’t). The lady who cooks came out and gave my friend a refund after she ran out of sweet potato fries(so she gave her a half portion plus a full portion of fries), and wouldn’t be refused the refund. A real, genuine place run by good people.

Just ok. Food was over priced, the short order cook was coughing in the background… I was a little leery but we stayed. We should have turned around and walked out when we ordered hotdogs for the children and the lady only rang up 1 hotdog. The only redeeming quality was that the owner(or I assume the owner) turned on a movie for the kids. The kids loved it but is adults, not so much.

The Longboard was delicious! Next time I’m getting everything on it. The more the merrier! The burger was solid. Good stuff. The sweet potato fries were way too easy to eat. I guess that’s just proof that I was hungry. :) Prices were nice and low. We’ll be going back for sure!
