First time at this place. The worst $ 10 sandwich
I ever had. Hardly any meat on a sausage sub.
Sticky floors and trays. I believe it could a good sandwich place but needs lots of TLC.

Poor sanitation. They were making the sandwiches by hand with no gloves. The cook was placing the meat by hand. Yuck!!!

First time eating here and was pleased with the taste and choices of sandwiches. Really good flavor, but smaller than most sub shop sandwiches (to me). Fries were really good as well as the lemonade. Employees were friendly and attentive.

Both times there the service was extremely slow, more then 15 minutes to make a sandwich.

Everything was delicous. Everyone was friendly. The owner came by our table and talk to us a while. We will definitely be returning

I had the teriyaki chicken sandwich and it was fabulous! It took longer than your normal «sub» places but I realized it’s because they were grilling the chicken fresh! My sandwich was at the perfect temp and the fries were seasoned perfectly. The service was great too! I was greeted as soon as I walked in, which is something you rarely see nowadays. All together, I’d go back to try something different!

Service gets worse and worse every time I am here. Food sucks, the value and price you pay is awful and they are so rude and incompetent here. Every time I am here there is an issue. It’s time to close up shop and call it a day because what they are doing is just not working any more. Drive 5 miles to Waukegan and visit CYOC, get a cheesesteak the size of your head and some beautifully seasoned fries and a drink for $ 8. They at least appreciate your business and the food is A flippin’ plus.

Don’t go to this sub shop unless you have plenty of time. The order process was slow — the pay process was slow — and to really frost the cake — everyone that came after us received their food before we did (multiple people). When I asked when our food would be ready — the guy behind the counter gave me a half-​hearted, sarcastic «it’s coming out now!» No apologies… I was made to feel I was bothering them! No worries — I won’t bother them again!
And the sandwich? Meh… I would have wanted to return if the sandwich was worthwhile — but I can easily get a better sandwich elsewhere.
I can’t imagine this restaurant will be around for long the way it’s running. Much better service and food a very short distance away.

First time here. Ordered the Philly cheesesteak. Got a cheese sandwich with barely any meat on it. Wont be back.

Dirty. The scum on the booths was gross. The people behind the counter don’t wear gloves after handling money and credit cards. None of the tables were clean. Waited 10 minutes before the black chick with nasty red dreadlocks who obviously loved her job acknowledged our existence to take our payment. She moved with snail like gusto. The short little black girl who took our order was adorable and pleasant and was the only one who seemed to take her job seriously. I must have seen her on 5 different occasions straightening up and cleaning. The credit card machine was disgusting… caked with food and has obviously never been cleaned… then she went right back to handling food.
After about 15 minutes my husband got his sandwiches…7 minutes later mine came. Food gross. A Philly cheese steak with banana peppers and canned mushrooms. Weird and a bad combination. A philly gets sauteed fresh veggies… period. I opted out on the marinara sauce… more weirdness. The fresh cut fries were soggy, cold and tasteless.
ALL THIS FOR $ 30 BUCKS! At all costs avoid this place. Its just not good. People most likely go here because of location.

This place is disgusting. Need to be scrubbed down. People need to where gloves if they are going to handle money.
Did i mention how dirty it was. The credit machine is caked with food.
Wash your hands.

The food was not bad. Three stars on the quality. The fries were just warm.
I think the issue is the people behind the counter. There was no apparent sense of urgency on anyones part. The only person who appeared to be «johnny on the spot», was the older gentleman who took my order! The ambience was plesant.
Spike TV needs a show called «Fast Food Rescue», just like Bar Rescue and have John Taffer as the host.
I don’t know if it was a poor selection of employees who just don’t care and realize that the majority of people only have a half hour to eat!

Bread comes out of the oven crusty and chewy, the toppings are usually cooked in lava from what I can tell. It is always tasty, unfortunately not the «healthy» lunch a sub place is thought to be. Do not leave without trying a chocolate chip cookie, one of my favorite cc cookies ever. Go ahead and just have two of those as your meal.

I’m not really certain how I feel about this place. The fries were good. But the sandwich I had wasn’t, maybe I chose poorly. I got the chicken cordon bleu and there wasn’t a whole lot to it, although I did like the bread.
I thought it was odd that while my husband and I ordered at the same time, his sandwich came out to him a good five minutes ahead of mine. Why not bring them both together? Then when my sandwich was on its way, some man that worked there stopped the woman and they discussed something for for a bit. WTH? Deliver the food that is getting colder by the second and then talk about whatever. Plus, there was only one other table occupied in the place. Not sure I’d return.

Best hidden secret in Gurnee! If you have not tried this you are doing yourself a disservice. The best sub bread ive ever had. Actual fresh ingredients, no pre packaged pre frozen like subway. The most amazing fries! Fresh squeazed lemonade. Hands down my favorite place to get a sub.

Love the artichoke heart sandwich.
I wouldn’t call it healthy but it is always nice to find delish veggie options.

I visited Penn Station for the first time this past Friday. The reviews had me somewhat concerned, especially since there seems to be an epidemic of fast food and casual dining restaurants getting orders wrong on a consistent basis.
That said, the place was not all that crowded, but there were other patrons ordering and eating there. The cashier was very friendly, and agreed to take more than one coupon (free sub and free fries) for both my wife and me — Nice!
The order was near-​perfect. I told the cashier I was debating getting the pizza sauce on my Philly Cheesesteak, and ultimately said I would try it, but the pizza sauce didn’t make it onto the sandwich. Regardless, the sandwich was very good (wife’s was good too). The fries were very good, and the freshly-​squeezed lemonade was awesome.
Another gentleman (possibly a manager), came by to see how we liked our food while we were dining.
As I was walking out of the restaurant, the cashier thanked me for coming and used my first name. Classy move!
I will be back for sure. The combination of good service and good food are getting to be more and more rare these days.

The food takes a little bit, but it’s fresh and worth the wait. I had the best rueben I’ve ever eaten. They were not stingy on the sauce, which I love. So if you aren’t a fan of sauce, ask for them to go light on it. The lemonade is delicious! I buy a gallon whenever I go out that way.
The staff was very friendly. It is a newer location, so I am understanding that they have kinks to work out, which is why I couldn’t give them the full 5 stars. The food is certainly 5 stars!

Rude staff, I stood at the register for a good while until the manager and worker noticed I was there and stopped talking…
Took 15 minutes for a sandwich to be made…
At 2:30 the place was a disaster… Not one clean table to sit at.
Something needs to be done, this is a great company but this is a TERRIBLE location
