Presto’s Pizza

We live in Westwood, and ride down to Presto’s in Hackensack, for the best Pizza and salad around. When you order a large pizza, it fills or over fills the tray. Excellent taste and flavor. The dinners are presented very well and are delicious. They give you more then enough food.
You feel like you are at home, everyone treats you like family. VERY, comfortable atmosphere. Carol, from Westwood.

This is my new favorite place to get pizza delivered from. Tonight was my second time ordering delivery, and I am very content.
Delivery is very fast and their food is delicious. I usually get half plain and half veggie. Everything from the sauce to the cheese to the crust is delicious. I normally don’t order any pasta dishes, but their penne vodka and farfalle con pepper vodka sauce is amazing. It’s a bit on the pricier side, but that’s okay! Their food speaks for itself.
My only complaint is that their pizza can be a little less salty. Other than that, nothing will stop me from continuing to order from this place!

So I’m torn while writing this review for Prestos — Ive oredered from here about 4 to 5 times, so I obviously like it. But 2 of those times that I ordered (Penne Vodka w/​chicken always) the chicken was obviously taken from a Pesto Chicken dish and rinsed off, but the chicken was still green. The first time I was weirded out, but it was late and my husband convinced me it was okay. I ate it, I’m still alive, I survived. I ordered again and again from there. I just wish they would have used the chicken off of another dish and it wasnt green, but the last 3 times have been great. Ive never had the pizza there, but i consistently order the penne vodka from there and am happy with it.

All I can say is Amazing!!! I’m a New Yorker… This is the real deal… All these other clowns in the area need to step their game up… I ordered a simple chicken cutlet on a hero… I gotta say… It knocked my socks off literally… I kicked my sneakers and socks off while I chewed my first bite… BANGING!!! keep up the amazing food guys… This is my new go to… I have to add… I called them and told them how much I loved the food. The owner calls me back and thanks me for my kind words?! UNHEARD OF!!! THIS PLACE IS AND ALWAYS WILL BE MY GO2!!!

I have to say this pizza place is the best. Their pizza is never messy, fresh and never ending. The staff will see your 1^st visit and automatically you are family. Try the home made spaghetti and meatballs! Also, once in the blue, they give out free tester to see your opinion. Right now it is cheese burger pizza. See, this is why places like this are successful. They try new and different things.

My friends and I chose to have lunch at Presto’s. It was a birthday/​pre– thanksgiving lunch. There were 5 adults and 13 kids. We made a reservation 20 minutes before we arrived. They took us… with no problems.
I can’t say enough about this place! Loved the food. The pizza was amazing. The staff were very nice and treated us like family. We were very loud (with kids raging from 5 – 11 years in age) but they were so accommodating and welcomed us with smiles and laughter. I will definitely be coming back and will recommend to all my friends.

Wow I can’t believe I found this place. Having been born and raised in New York, pizza is an art form to me so I was apprehensive but thoroughly surprised and delighted. The aroma caught me as I walked by. I ventured in and ordered their slice. Absolutely delicious. Perfectly balanced sauce, tasty and a little chewy with just the right amount of crispness on the crust. Cheese was fresh and superb. The staff was friendly and fast. They didn’t hound me for payment, I sat down Snd they said they’d bring the pizza to me which I liked. The owner personally cones over yo greet you and the manager is smart and rubs the restaurant like a well oiled machine but does it with a smile. I have been back here every week since then. I’m addicted to their pizza varieties (they have tons of varieties or choose your own and they’ll make it). I look forward to coming to the restaurant if only to be greeted by everyone. I ventured out to the main menu and definitely would recommend any dish. The meat is superb. Truly a great place to dine with or without friends.

Love the pizza here. We got the Mexican pizza and it is by far the best pizza in the area. Super tasty and fresh toppings.

The lady is very sweet, and the food is amazing. However once it gets busy, it gets really busy. They completely messed up our order, and while we were sitting there in the restaurant we kept hearing them messing up other people’s orders. Try not to go on a Friday/​Saturday night, otherwise go for it.

Excellent food. I had the veal saltimbocca special, and it was perfectly cooked, with real mashed potatoes as a side dish. A tropical salad special offered marvelous deep-​fried shrimp and crabmeat with mozzarella on greens. One dinner companion just wanted a simple pasta with marinara, and that was prepared wonderfully al dente. A complimentary bruschetta and free refills on sodas were nice perques.
The service was courteous and casually friendly. The décor is non-​existent, but it’s the food that matters. This is a small gem offering good Italian food.

This gets 5 stars from me because it’s hands down my favorite pizza in the area since Ray’s in Rochelle Park changed names & owners I guess and the pizza went waaaaaay down the drain. I’m picky as hell with pizza, this one is the best in the area.
This place was closed for like a year and now is open again and fantastic. I Eat pizza from here once a week. It’s a solid pie.
They also have a nice assortment of slice pies if you go in to eat.

Prestos has become my favorite place to eat and enjoy the great food, nice staff and above all Selin has become like family… They treat you great, great prices, and one Fri I went there was a local singer Rhonda Shuster who was awesome. I have met alot of wonderful people there and consider Selin family because she has always made me and my family and friends feel so welcomed. Ty Presto s

If you are like me, and stopped going to Prestos the past several years when the new ownership took over then I’m happy to say the original owner is back as everyone has posted. I’ve had the pizza and I’m happy to say it’s the BEST in Bergen county. I also had dinner there for my birthday and the food was OUTSTANDING. everything from the appetizers to the main course to the desserts was top notch. And the staff was attentive, friendly, knowledgeable and frankly one of the main reason I’ll be returning next weekend and the following. Get the word out. The ORIGINAL Prestos is BACK! And they deserve to be a huge success!!!

The lady who owns this place is very polite. There pizzas are always amazing… Thin… Crispy… Delicious…

You can not beat this pizza. In a land where you can get a decent pie anywhere, Prestos never fails to rise above the basic. The warm family style juxtaposed with the delicious cooking makes it memorable. We give it a 10!

Had a meeting in the area so I stopped in to pickup a pizza for the group. Heard about it from my wife who works in the area.
The owner, Selene, worked behind the counter. I went on a Tuesday afternoon (I think one of their slower times/​days) so the place was nearly empty. Selene made sure that my order had been taken and then offered me water or coffee while I was waiting. While I suspect if the place was busy this offer would have never been made, it was an exceptional offer of service and accommodation.
The pizza ingredients were fresh. I ordered (not on the menu) their chicken-​parm pizza. I would have preferred more flavor but the meeting associates were very impressed with the pizza, asking me where’d I’d bought it.
Can’t say that the coffee offer (no charge by the way) will occur again but, when I do go back it will likely be on a Tuesday afternoon.

Everything at Presto’s is done to perfection! We ordered the broccoli rabe, and calamari as appetizers– delicious! For entrees we ordered salmon, penne ala vodka, chicken franchaise– all were tasty, and 5 star quality. I was also impressed with how friendly, and well trained the staff is. I was visiting Hackensack for the first time and was relieved that I found the best place to order from for our party!

This is the only place in the Hackensack and Maywood area that never disappoints when ordering. Delivery always stays within 30 minutes or less and the food always comes as it should. However, we decided to visit our favorite pizza spot last night and wow! First off, we came in and were greeted by the owner who proved to be nothing less than sweet and attentive. We were immediately seated (party of 10) and attended to with a great bruschetta and the softest garlic knots. We then ordered two cheese pies, a margherita, and a Brooklyn Best (broccoli rabe and sausage). It was evident that the kids loved the cheese pie since they even ate the crust. The adults loved loved loved the margherita pie the best even though their Brooklyn Best came in real close. The sauce for all pies was just right and and the dough wasn’t too thick or thin. You are able to tell that the owner chooses quality ingredients and doesn’t sacrifice taste just to make a bigger profit.
Lastly the bill came out less than $ 100 which is not too bad for a family of ten.

More like 2.5 stars but I will round up because the owner is very nice and hands on. New renovations to the dining room brings a warm ambiance. Servers and owner are hospitable and food is okay. BYOB is always a plus.
What they lack is communication and knowledgeable servers. If Presto’s can work on these two things, they will become a local go to casual Italian restaurant good for any occasion.
On a Saturday night, 4 out of the 8 tables in the main back dining room had at least one wrong dish served to their table (including ours unfortunately). This is very costly to the restaurant and just leaves a bad taste to diners when one person is left out while everyone else at the table is enjoying their food.
They have been back to business for about 8 months. I will give them the year to make a return visit before writing them off my list. Keeping my fingers crossed!

We came here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon… taken here by the parents after hearing about the rave reviews by them from a previous visit. The place was empty at 1pm, as was to be expected, and we were seated in the adjacent room. A nice cozy space.
We had the Calamari Fritti — fantastically done! Super crisp without being overcooked. A nice portion that three of us split.
Linguini with White Clam Sauce — pretty good, but lacking the white wine we so enjoy that some other places make as part of their recipes. The cooks here also added basil. Yep… fresh basil. I found that it’s fragrance was a bit out of place here. I’ve seen (and tasted) oregano and parsley at other places, but this was the first time I had basil in this dish. Hopefully it will be the last.
Pasta Fagioli was tasty but made with way too much salt for our taste. You can be the judge, but be warned.
Service was a bit green, but she was attentive. I know, I know… I said that there was no one else there at the time. :-)
Take it or leave it, but I would like to try their pizza one day.
