Amazing quality, delicious … Little pricy, but worth it… Takes time to cook, can get busy and wait time can be 30 – 45 min for a pie of pizza… Would go back… Enough said

This is one of my favorite places to go! For me, pizza is ALL about the sauce. That is why it is SO good. If you have not been here before, you need to drop in and get a pie. YUM!

Consistency matters a lot when it comes to take-out. I was so disappointed by the pizza I bought here tonight. It’s been a while since I stopped here for a pie and considering how bad it was, it may be a long time before I get another one. I ordered a sausage pie and paid $ 19.80 for it. The pizza was fresh, but the sausage wasn’t very tasty. It was thin sliced and not fresh looking. Looked like they cooked some sausage a week ago and ran it through a deli slicer. As poor as the sausage was, the crust was deplorable. It was too thick overall, not crispy or browned enough, and inconsistently stretched. Thicker and doughier in spots. When I looked at the bottom of the crust, I could see that it was scrunched up in many places. It was not handled well at all. The pie could have used more sauce with some fresh basil in it. It was so poorly prepared, I wanted to call them and complain. But I didn’t because I worked 12 hours straight today and didn’t want to go back. Or have someone tell me so sad, too bad. I’d really be steamed.

It has been a while since I’ve had pizza and also good pizza. I decided to research on good pizza places and this was one of the places that were mentioned as one thats pretty good in New Jersey. I can say that it was not wrong at all! The pizza was fantastic/amazing/spectacular/orgasm in my mouth. I called in an ordered of a 16 inch pepperoni pizza with cheese and tomato sauce. When I came to pick it up, it was in a bag, which is different compared to other pizza places where they would have it in a box. I was kinda taken back by the bag. The restaurant looked very busy on a Friday night. It was full of customers enjoying their food and enjoying their company. The staff were friendly as well. The pizza smelled delicious the whole ride back home. When we got home, it was devoured in minutes. The prices are decent for such a good tasting pizza. I can’t wait to go try the other pizzas they have on the menu.

You know the joint it’s good when you finish your meal and you are planning your next visit. I am here waiting for my check and I feel safe to say that this has been the best pizza I’ve ever had in Bergen County. My date and I ordered a medium pie; half pineapple and half pepperoni. Let me tell you, our eyes got watery after the first bite. The pizza was designed in such a way that it flattered our pallets, the sauce was placed on the pie in patches with hints of basil. The mozzarella was fresh to death! And the pepperoni felt authentic as if they had brought it from the local Italian joint that’s decorated with the cheese and hams hanging of the ceilings. The pineapple did it for us too, everything was wonderful even the service. Just for the heads up bring cash ! It’s a cash only place and the warning it’s vague but it’s there. I hope you guys will have the same experience as I, enjoy !

This place is legendary to me. Really, I miss being able to make the forty minute drive to have this pizza. Firstly, it’s true brick oven pizza which is almost it’s own class of pizza. Then, its ingredients are so fresh and full of deliciousness especially that mozzarella. Really, I like to joke that the best New York pizza is in Hackensack NJ because of this place. Don’t expect five star service but the payoff of the pizza is what matters.

Very good Pizza. Very good entrees. The garlic bread is like a huge Pizza crust minus cheese. The mozzarella sticks are huge and amazing. The food I cannot say enough about. The only reason for 4 stars is that their is no delivery and it’s cash only. Can be a little annoying sometimes but even that won’t keep me away from this place.

So this is the second location I’ve been to for Brooklyn’s, and the first did not leave me impressed. Atmosphere is that of a typical pizzeria, pretty casual. Servers were pretty nice and attentive despite the fact that it was pretty busy when I had gone in. My husband and I were there for a friends birthday, so we started with a Stromboli and then we split a couple of pizza’s between the group, a white pie and a regular pie. I think for me, the main issue is that I’m not just into style of pizza. The pizza is a little doughy for me, I personally like thin crust. Aside from that though, flavors are really lacks, both pizzas and the stromboli was pretty bland, although if I had to pick a winner the white pizza would have been it.

This is my absolute go to place for pizza! I have been here more than a dozen times and each time the pizza I ordered is done to perfection. They use a brick oven which in my opinion makes a big difference. I usually order the pepperoni pizza and the fried calamari and/or the mozzarella tomato salad. Bottom line, I am never disappointed when I leave here. Be Aware: This is a CASH only restaurant. No refills on sodas. Long wait times are usually Friday and Saturday nights.

Came here with a friend expecting alot, as in 5 stars and well our food was sent to another table and water never came. They did bring fresh bread, just no butter. The server was great, he tried to recover for the mishap. The pizza did taste a little different. The crust was a little doughy… hmmmm And well, we would of ordered dessert if offered but they seemed to close early. I plan to check out their other locations… stay tuned.

Not really a fan of this place. The first time I went I didn’t like the pie, but I couldn’t put my finger on why. Yesterday I got a pep pie with hot peppers on half and I figured out why. The pie really doesn’t have any taste. It’s bland and even the hot peppers didn’t do much for it. The crust is kind of soggy and you need a fork and knife to eat it. I’ve never had less than good pizza in jersey before, but I guess there’s a first time for everything. Also, they tried to shove four people into a back table that was sandwiched by the register and another table of four. My family and I were so uncomfortable that we asked to be moved as soon as a table of 8 had left. At least the staff was accommodating and moved us right after we asked.

The service is solid. Their pizzas are delicious. The brick oven really gives a good char to the crust. The dough itself tastes so good. I prefer the ‘red pie’(with tomato sauce) over the white pie. The gf and I ordered medium for both pies. You should definitely get pepperoni on your pizza. I am not sure where they order their pepperoni from but it is unlike other typical pizzeria pepperoni. Their white pie is very ‘garlic-ey.’ I love garlic in many things, but I thought the garlic in this pie was a little overpowering. Overall, it was a good restaurant experience. Unfortunately, the place is cash only so be sure to bring it with you. The lot they have is somewhat small so parking may be tight. Will definitely be back though!

Melt in your mouth good… I always order the same thing as I come here on my lunch hour. I start with their fried mozzarella appetizer topped with grated parmesan cheese which oozes hot mozzarella when cut into. Served with tasty marinara sauce for dipping or pouring on top; you decide. I then split a personal margherita and a personal white pie with my company. Their pizza is thin crust(but not too thin) and cooked in a brick oven(hence the name of the place). The margherita has just the right proportion of sauce to cheese and sliced tomato. Their personal white is one of the best I’ve tasted. Both come with the cheese flowing right up and into the crispy crust. My mouth is watering as I write this. The staff is very attentive, and one even knows my order as I frequent here often. Two important things to note: 1) they are cash only, and 2) they do not deliver. Also, while you cannot pre-order for your food to be ready to sit down and eat, you can order take-out. Definitely a place worth spending your spare change at!

I don’t think I’ve ever had a pie taste the same here. One day they give you a ton of toppings and then the next time you barely get any. They skimp you on the sauce then charge you extra for a cup of sauce. The crust is huge, mushy and chewy. Brick oven pizza should not be soggy. I don’t think I’ve ever been to a pizzeria that charges for refills on fountain soda like they do. It’s such a scam. Take out — Be prepared to wait, cash only as well. The pizza doesn’t travel well at all when you take out, they give you it in a bag and it’s a soggy soft mess when you get home.

I have visited this place a couple of times already and it is always solid. If you are looking for traditional really great ingredients pizza than this is definitely the place to go. I recommend their cheese & tomato pizza, calamari and cappuccino are all really good. Their cheese to sauce ratio is perfect. TIP: They have beer which is awesome for a pizza joint.

The Positives: This is my go-to place for brick oven style pizza in north New Jersey. Long story short: 5-Star local brick-oven style pizza, 3-Stars overall experience. The pizza quality is outstanding in comparison to other brick oven pizza I have eaten over the years. They do not have deliver so I will often order a pizza for pickup rather than dining in.(Sigh, get with it guys, you could triple your business) The ingredients used in the pizza are of top quality, however they do not use much sauce on their pizza so be prepared to order extra sauce if you like a moderate amount on your pie. It really is the best pizza in Bergen County NJ that i know of. The garlic bread, mozzarella/tomato salad, and antipasto are also great. There, I said it, great food; now onto the reasons this place make me sad… The Negatives: I would have rated them 5-stars based on the quality of the pizza but they do not accept credit cards(Double Sigh, cash-only businesses drive me crazy); please join the 21st century. Perhaps next time I order pickup I will barter with firewood and goats as payment. Oh, and If you happen to dine in, be prepared for the smallest beverage cup ever placed in a restaurant! When you finish your tiny cup of whatever liquid you ordered(displaced by lots of ice) be prepared to pay per refill?(Triple Sigh!, it costs you guys a nickel in soda syrup to fill those little cups, do you REALLY have to double dip your customers on top of your already top-tier pizza prices?) If i do happen to dine-in I purposely order my side drinks with no ice to try and offset their soda scam. Give me a break… It’s a trap! Admiral Akbar would have seen this a light-year away! One last thing, when you order pickup the pizza comes in a paper sleeve(not a box) more penny-pinching/corner cutting, or other reasons? You be the judge? The downfalls bring this local, 5-Star brick oven pizza down to a 3-star review: * Cash-only * In-house soda refill scam * No Delivery * No Slices * Cheapo paper sleeves for pickup * They skimp on the sauce
I rarely ding my reviews for issues aside from the food, but my this combo really got under my skin! I’ll admit they have me by the balls as far as local brick oven pizza goes, but i’m not happy about it!

This is the best pizza in Bergen County. Location is a little odd being off hackensack ave, you can easily miss it if you don’t know what you’re looking for. As a tip it’s right across from a high school. The parking lot is small can it can be hard to find parking if you go when it’s busy. Line is sometimes around the door. Ambiance is a stuffed since the place is small, always crowded with workers running around so I prefer to order take out. It’s also cash only which is a personal annoyance for me since I never have cash. Food wise, again pizza is amazing, I always order a large«margaritah» pizza and this is one of the few places that use fresh mozz on their margaritah. The sauce is simple and not too salty, dough is crispy but soft. Takes some time for it too come out, but its worth it. I don’t live in Bergen County anymore, but everytime I fly home I try to come here. The cash only thing makes me lazy and not want to go as often as I would if they accepted credit cards. Also try the fried ravioli for an appetizier you wont regret it.

Pizza here is great, its not as thin as I like it but the crust is perfectly chewy and soft. Some of the pepperoni were crispy, while others were soggy when doubled on top of one another. Sauce was fresh but wasn’t distributed evenly on the pie. It costs $ 16 for a medium pie with half topping. It’s well worth the money considering the incredible fresh ingredients used. And that brick oven, wow does it take the charcoal flavor to another level. While you sit and wait for your pie to be done, you can watch them prepare it as the oven is smack in the middle of the dining area. There’s plenty of seating in the dinning area with a very nice and sufficient staff. They are very busy but handle every customer with the time they deserve. Parking lot is large and the restaurant is big and can be spotted from faraway. Check them out, pizza is very delicious and filling. With a great staff and great prices you can’t go wrong. *Cash only *No individual slices sold *No delivery

I’ve only had their personal sized pizza — white and regular with pepperoni topping. Amazing. The crust is thin yet doughy enough to satisfy your carb craving. Upon first bite you can tell the ingredients used are fresh. The pepperoni here is so tasty. The ends curl up just a bit and it does not create a huge puddle of oil on your pie that would keep you from enjoying pizza. I enjoy a little crunch with my pizza without an overbearing burnt taste and Brooklyn has always managed to live up to my pizza standards. Definitely worth a try.
