Great addition to Haleiwa. I’ll definitely always miss the nostalgia of the«old» Matsumoto’s, but I appreciate what they’ve done here with this new store lot. There’s a good amount of parking behind the lots, but even at lunch time all of the parking was full and there were cars waiting for stalls. Thankfully, people tend to come and go from the lot pretty quickly, so you just have to be patient and wait for parking. I imagine at night the lot gets even more busy… There’s a men’s and women’s bathroom shared for the whole shopping center, and it’s clean and well-maintained. Some of the highlight’s here are Uncle Bo’s, Guava Shop, and Matsumoto’s!

So far it looks good! I understand they just opened many of the stores about a month or so ago. Of course, this is going to continue to be a stop for me when going out to the north shore… because I love Matsumoto’s shave ice. The only frustrating part was the parking lot… for all the space there is in the back of the stores the parking lot doesn’t have ample space for the area… especially since there is still a section that is not open!(one being Rajanee Thai) On this first visit I wasn’t able to go to ALL the stores since the main goal was to get shave ice. I love the new set up and very clear/clean entrance to Matsumotos. The courtyard that it sits on is very nice and welcoming with a sign to explain a little story about the courtyard. After getting our shave ice, we took a walk up and down to just see what the Store Lots have to offer. At one end was Uncle Bo’s restaurant and inbetween were several retail stores, a grocery store, 2 courtyard areas and a few more eateries on the other end: Teddy’s Bigger Burgers, FatBoys and Rajanee Thai. Several retail stores had signs to please eat your shave ice outside and it was nice to see a couple benches and trash cans along the strip to take advantage of. I can definitely see the strip area becoming quickly crowded so I really hope there is a better parking solution. Having the parking in the back does alleviate some of the previous traffic however so it’s a little nicer to drive through this stretch of road. I know I will be be back to check out more of the stores and dine at one of the restaurants there!

Awesome stores, awesome services and specially SHOUTOUT to the security lady i just met today.(Forget to ask her name though.) If you read this. This is actually for you. You made my visit so welcoming! The parking is so hard going round and round but thanks to you. Woohooo to that! I will definitely come back again and might visit her. Lol. But never ending people coming in and out, she might not remember me. Overall, visit this place guys and have some shave ice!

Much improved section of town that maintains architectural style of the period constructions while moving the pedestrians farther from the road and hiding the parking lot behind. Nice improvement to Haleiwa. Weekend had cultural activities interspersed between the shops.

Haleiwa Store Lots is the newly redeveloped shopping area in Haleiwa Town owned by Kamehameha Schools. Some of the stores have just recently opened for business with several others soon to follow. Store include: Matsumoto’s Grocery Store Guava Shop Rajanee Thai Cuisine Global Creations FatBoy’s Teddy’s Bigger Burgers Uncle Bo’s…And a few more that I can’t seem to think of right now. Things are looking great and the sidewalk is now open along Kam Hwy.
