This place is by far the BEST Thai food I have ever had. I’ve been to many Thai food establishments all over the US, and these people have it down. Very friendly staff and accomadating. If you order everything vegetarian like I do, they probably wash the cookware because it tastes clean and not fishy like at other restaraunts when I order vegetarian. This is definitely a gem! I wish I could just camp out behind their truck and eat their food every day.

5 stars for garlic shrimp and 5 stars for the friendly staff. The garlic shrimp were so excellent that we ordered more that we took back to our hotel and reheated the next day. And they were just as good the next day.

Enjoyed my drunken noodles here. Could not wait 1.5 hours to get in to Opal, so made it down the road to this food truck. Was not expecting much due to previous reviews, but I was not disappointed(perhaps my expectations were lowered, but not really). I asked for medium heat and was happy to get what I ordered. Spicy sauce with lots of Thai basil and very fresh vegetables, also a very decent sized portion.

It’s our go-to Thai place if you don’t want to wait an hour for a table at Opals(even when you have a reservation). We always get the pad Thai and Panang. Customer service is always friendly and timely.

We really love this place!!! Fresh delicious food, fast and friendly service. We can’t get enough of the crispy chicken with curry sauceyum yum yum. Is the best Thai food in all Haleiwa! Btw prices are affordable and the portions are enough to feed two very hungry individuals. Try it! you won’t be disappointed.

This little gem was recommended by a family member, I was hesitate at first but my husband’s cousin swore up and down from the heavens that it was the best. I am a Thai food brat, I grew up eating and raised on it therefore I think I am qualified to be picky with food I grew up eating. We ordered som tam and pad thai. 1) I hate pad thai but for some reason I wanted to order it a give it a go. When my husband orders som tam he will always add extra little things(fish sauce, chili flakes or whatever) this was the first time he didn’t add ANYTHING. It was literally the best som tam I ever had. It was perfect, the salty, sweet, sour and hint of fish sauce was right on point to the freakin peanuts. Their pad thai was actually really delish, I not the biggest fan of it because it’s so overdone in my opinion but it was tasty. The portions were alot we didn’t finish our food we still had plenty left for later in the evening if we were hungry. If you’re in North Shore check this place out!

This place is great. Order the naughty princess. The naughty princess will do you right. Do not even hesitate. Eat here before any other restaurant.

Disappointed. Very disappointed. I love thai food with all my heart and soul and have eaten amazing AUTHENTIC thai food for years. I normally go to Opal’s Thai in Haleiwa but they were closed so I was desperate for anything Thai food related. I figured I give this place a try. I got the spring rolls & pork larb. The spring rolls look/tasted like something I bought from costcos and deep fried. They are literally as small as my pinky. No fresh vegetables in there whatsoever… Aren’t they called SPRINGROLLS for a reason? Second, my pork larb was not spicy whatsoever. No heat. Nada. I was very upset. The flavor was alright. Like something an American person who hates spicy food and never tried Thai food ever in their life… They’d probably enjoy it. No heat. Mediocre flavor. Skinny ass spring rolls? Not returning ever again. Especially for the price!!! I paid $ 20.25 exactly for(2) dishes. Not satisfied. Not worth my money. I’ll wait for Opals to open next time.

Wonderful food, great prices, nice workers! Highly recommend. Rice comes with the meal. My husband and I normally get the Summer rolls, Tom Yum soup, drunken noodles or Pad Thai and one of their delicious curries!

I LOVETHAIFOOD!!! Was that loud enough??? And nothing beats Souvaly Thai Food Truck!!! Having visited Thailand multiple times, I can say Souvaly Thai(Mobile) is 1(of 2) places on O‘ahu that is the closest to what I’ve eaten back in Thailand. My favorites — Pad Thai, Som Tum(Papaya Salad), Yellow Curry, Drunken Noodles, Thai-style Fried Chicken. Spices and flavors are ONPOINT!!! Located right in the heart of old historic Haleiwa Town sits Souvaly Thai Mobile with a netted rooftop covering, tables, and benches provided for your convenience. Dishes/Menus are displayed along the Food Truck for better viewing. Menu is short, simple, and basic but the tastes is memorable! Prices are reasonable. $ 20 should be able to feed two people with at least 2 dishes and sticky rice. Anything cooked with coconut milk is my favorite, hence, I can eat Yellow Curry…*CORRECTION…Souvaly’s Yellow Curry practically everyday!!! Staff are always happy and friendly and makes the whole transaction something to look forward to coming back. Wanna save time… call in your order FIRST before heading over to the Mobile. Average wait for food can range from 10 minutes to 20 minutes depending how busy they are as well as how much food you ordered! Give it a try… and don’t forget Dessert!

This used to be one of our 3 go-to spots for a quick tasty dinner when we don’t feel like cooking. I get the feeling they changed owners around a year ago and over the last few months their quality has been going downhill fast. It’s so disappointing to loose one of your favorite spots. Tonight was our last night :(

Awesome tai food! I had the shrimp pad tai which had really good flavor. The pineapple fried rice was also great-feeds two people and we also added shrimp to that. yum! My mom had the drunken noodles which were recommended by a local. She got them«sober» since she’s not a huge spicy fan. She loved them! The sauce, the noodles, veggies-everything was great. Plus the staff was really friendly.

Great costmer service friendly staff. All plates come with rice, and they make great Thai tea. They also have garlic shrimp for those not wanting to wait in long lines at the other food trucks. The service is quick and the ambiance is comfortable and authentic to its own taste. Side note they play good music… Lana Del Ray. Try it for yourself, you won’t be disappointed. I’ve had many different plates here. Yellow cury is delicious and the pad Thai is good. This time I got the music samples man cury, and love it. It wasn’t too spicy just right.

Best $ 13 meal you will ever have — take your pick Garlic Shrimp or Spicy Shrimp. They are so fresh and delicious you will have a hard time deciding which one is better. And they are open«late» for island time. We were in Haleiwa for only two nights and we ate here both nights — love their food!!!

One word: Yummy! This is a hidden gem of the North Shore! This small food truck is located just past the Longs headed into town. The meals are a little pricey, but the food is quality. There are plenty of options for omnivores and herbivores alike. I always order the Tofu Pad Thai. Staple for us vegetarians. I do not know what it is about the sauce, but it is delightful. Also there is plenty outside seating. My only compliant is that it takes ~20 minutes to receive your food.

I wanted a quick bite after spending a day at the beach so I decided to try this place to see if it is any good. It’s a food truck in Haleiwa town, a quick and easy way to dine. There’s a tent set up with picnic tables for your use. I ordered the Holy Basil with chicken for $ 9.50 in medium heat. It was alright. The heat was a good amount for what I requested. Flavor was good, but it wasn’t great. I was a bit disappointed that it only came with one scoop of rice. The rice was a bit dry, a little too hard to enjoy. There is parking off to the side, but it is limited. The service was fast and friendly. I usually like to try a place twice before I knock it, but I think I most likely won’t return.

No way, Jose! This is so not authentic Thai. It’s not even good Thai. I completely must agree with anyone who has said the pad thai taste«ketchupy.» There is, without a doubt, ketchup in their pad thai recipe. It was gross. And 5 shrimps? Way to skimp! Thai Lao gives you at least 8. In addition, their Thai iced coffee is just extremely sweet black coffee. I was dying. It was awful. It threw me off guard. They serve you the iced coffee in a styrofoam cup and it’s ugly. So ugly. The whole experience was BLEH. Walking up to the truck wasn’t even fun. There was just loud ass roosters and chickens roaming around my feet, high wind, big flies, and moreover, no «Hello,» «Welcome,» or «How can I help you?» from the man standing in the truck! BOO! I won’t be back.

I heard that the North Shore had great shrimp trucks and when I first saw a Thai truck, I thought to myself, «I don’t want Thai, I’m here for SHRIMP!» Thankfully I saw that they had shrimp dishes. I thought the garlic shrimp dish was delicious! I highly recommend sucking the juice from the shrimp BEFORE you peel it and eat it. Double your delicious experience! We also got the drunken noodle with pad thai noodle as suggested by another Unilocal review. It’s not on the menu, but they did it for us. The thai iced tea was refreshing too after drying off from our Shark cage dive. In my opinion, the meal was pricey — like regular sit down restaurant — but the food is delicious and filing and they have a nice shaded area to sit outside of the food truck that other food trucks didn’t seem to have. I didn’t try many, but probably one of the better trucks on the North Shore truck strip :)
