My family and I love this place, we go regularly. The gelato is EXCELLENT!!! Seriously so delicious. The pastries and desserts are also very good. Great salads and sandwiches, good lox. Great coffee drinks. And most importantly, we have never had a bad customer service experience here, the staff is always friendly and smiling which makes us feel welcome. Small town GEM! Indoor/Outdoor seating options.

We were running low on energy during one of our trips to the coast and a restaurant we had planned to go to was closed, so time for plan B, this place. We ordered a chicken Caesar salad carrot soup and an affagato to wrap it up. Everything was very good. I did not expect the carrot soup to be this good

Pastry is mediocre at best. Creamy Gelato(I had cookie & cream) is no creamy nor flavorful. The tart gelato(Lemon) is better(not too sweet and just sour enough for me). Over all a touristy small town quality not impressed.

Superb pastries and cookies. The oatmeal coconut raisin cookie is phenomenal! The coffee is great as well.

Today I was in Half Moon Bay and saw this sign for coffee and gelato, woohoo 2 of my favorite things. I was with my friends from out of town and were trying to decide what kind of gelato to get. My goddaughter asked me to look at the mint flavor, there was a huge black hair laying in it. I asked the manager to come over and quietly told him there was hair in the gelato. He said” What I can’t hear you. «I repeated myself and he grabbed a sample spoon and scooped it out and went about his business. Needless to say we didn’t partake in anything and left. He should have removed the mint gelato from the case.

Their clam chowder is a soup with no thickening. When they say bowl, they mean ceramic bowl. If you want watery clam soup, get their clam chowder

Starting with a good crunchy fresh bread is wonderful way to start a meal. I had a simple combination of caprese salad made with hearty thick slices of buffalo mozzarella. Valerie had a simple house salad she described as a perfect palate cleanser before her main meal. The view over the ocean and Princeton pier made the wait between courses very enjoyable along with my fiancé’ delightful conversation. We are dying for the Salmon and Calamari steak main courses but enjoying watching the chefs working through the windows, the eucalyptus trees outside the window and taking our time enjoying the smells and flavors of our starters. You will see the photos of the salmon and calamari. I had imagined a few thin slices of calamari with generous lemon slices but it was more like a thick steak with generous capers. The calamari was remarkably moist. I was actually looking for something a little more crisp and sharper in flavor but it was good. What a wonderful location for a holiday meal or any meal. Will definitely come here again.

Passing through and decided to stop by here for a quick bite to eat. Browsed the chalkboard menu and ordered the Breakfast special, two eggs, two pancakes and two pieces of bacon. The scrambled eggs were runny, the pancakes were bland and the bacon was twice cooked. Not impressed with the food or the service WITHOUT a smile. Prices might seem inexpensive, but I guess I got what I paid for. They have a nice large lot for this shopping area, so parking is not a problem. 2.5 stars for their«GREEN» rating, all of their condiments are individually packages, like instead of ketchup bottle on the table they have individual ketchup packets, a bit wasteful. Also they use paper cups for water instead of reusable. The menus are however reausable.

What a great find for lunch, snacks, or dessert. We stopped by for homemade gelato and an afternoon snack of panini and cookies. It’s reasonably priced(i.e. not gouged just because you’re in Half Moon Bay). It all tasted great. Friendly service and a cozy place with a pretty good size outdoor sitting area. We’ll be back next time we’re in the area.

Looks like a fun spot but good food it is not… Coffee was very watery and weak the omelet with Italian sausage barely had anything in it with only one side having cheese added to it. The everything bagel with cream cheese and lox had white onions instead of the traditional red onion and not much lox for the price. Sorry to say I won’t be back.

Not the friendliest bunch of folks by any stretch of the imagination. To make matters worse, the iced coffee is not exactly the iced coffee we’ve all fallen in love with this summer. You know, an actual cold brew. It’s hot coffee brought to semi room temp and poured over nearly melted ice. Terribly acidic, dreadful flavor profile and just an all around bad beverage. Snacks, look great through the glass and taste slightly better than the above noted coffee. Clearly I need to connect with my friends at Verve Coffee Roasters and add a HMB/Princeton By The Sea location to the mix up here cause those are the pros and these are the rookies. Prime location gets the star #2

Great location and delicious gelato. My date and I choose together on two separate cones lemon, strawberry(2 scoops), and coconut. All fresh and delicious. There is outside and inside seating or you can take your gelato to the ocean(it will melt though so I suggest a cup for this one!). Price is right and you can also create a milkshake with the gelato if you like this path. Service was fine, no problem there. I need to come back and try more dishes. Just wish they had more flavors for gelato, but understandable, this is a café not a gelato place. Overall: Excellent gelato, Great price, Great service

How is this place Zagat rated? Not only is it dirty but the food is not great. Watery clam chowder, frittata with no veggies. I honestly don’t even want to waste my time writing a lengthy review. Save your time and go somewhere else. Wash your floors and tables. Disgusting

This is our place for breakfast. We love Jose, Noemi, and the rest of the staff. Plus we can bring our two dogs and sit on the patio. Simple breakfast, fantastic coffee & great service! Can’t ask for more

A small caffe located near the Princeton harbor. They have a wide variety of items such as coffee, mochas, cappuccinos, hot chocolate. They also have very yummy pastries and desserts. Not to mention they also serve gelato and breakfast and lunch items(pizzas and panini). I will definitely come back.

I definitely found the place where I’m going to have Breakfast every time I go fishing over at half moon bay! The service was great, I requested so many things out of their menu and there were still able to put it together for me with a huge smile! They gave me a free coffee refill! It’s not expensive at all we paid like $ 36.00 and the food was so worth it! !!!
