Dr. Hochberg, and his entire staff, were friendly, professional and made me feel at ease from the moment I walked in the door. Everything was explained so thoroughly I didn’t need to ask any questions about anything. Definitely recommend OmniVision!!!

Got my eye exam at a different place but went here to get my glasses because I heard they had a better selection of frames. Very friendly staff, offering great recommendations without being pushy. Pointed out which frames came in larger or smaller versions, different colors, etc. Ended up getting both regular glasses and prescription sunglasses which were totally worth the splurge. When I went back to pick them up (a day or two before the quoted time), they knew me by name, took time adjusting frames. Went back one more time to fine tune the fit and again they knew me by name. Overall pleased with the customer service, have already recommended to several friends.

Their website and patient portal are very helpful. I am glad that there are still Local, doctor’s owned vision practices in town!

I had made *2* other optometry appointments in the area over the last several months and both (!!) different centers cancelled the same day citing medical emergencies. I don’t know if am bad luck: (One did not call to notify me, I just showed up midmorning and the entire building was locked up and I called to find a vm informing me. I totally get emergencies happen, and i hope all goes well, but I was surprised by the lack of coordination or notification for a healthcare business. [I will spare everyone my usual rant about how silly it is to have a health system in the 21^st century be a cottage industry of store fronts thanks to our fractured privatized health care…] But since I work long hours and people seemed to booked months in advance (?!) I was very grateful that the staff at Omnivision was patient and able to work with me to figure out an appointment. I really appreciate everyone was professional, flexible, patient and courteous, and just got the job done. Thankfully there were no medical emergencies.

Dr. Hochberg was so kind, pleasant, and made every effort to make my experience a positive one. He was also very accurate with my contacts prescription — he was quick and highly competent. This was my first time at this practice and I was very impressed. The staff were very polite and clearly happy. I would definitely recommend this place to people looking for an eye doc in the area.

I just wrote a review about my unfortunate experience at a plastic surgeons office/​laser center in Fairfield and how unfriendly the staff and Doctor were. I wrote that even my Optometrist says hello to his customers when he walks by the waiting area. So, I thought I should give Omni Vision the wonderful review that it deserves.
Dr. Hochberg is The nicest man and the staff is so friendly and Nina is THE BEST!
She always makes myself and my children feel at ease and she has a wonderful sense of humor (My children are 18 and 20)
Each of us just bought a new pair of glasses that Nina helped us pick out. I bought a Tiffany fame and my kids each picked out a Ray Ban frame. The selection is really nice and my glasses are so beautiful.
This place deserves 10 stars. The staff is professional, friendly and worth every penny!
If only other businesses were as friendly and kind, they might just make more money…

The best experience I’ve ever had at the eye doctor. The staff is friendly and warm and Dr. Hochberg is welcoming and professional. I was made to feel that my patronage was sincerely appreciated. There was no wait for my appointment and I was in and out remarkably quickly. I will never, however, enjoy getting my pupils dilated: P ! I will be coming back with my wife and 3 kids!

I have been returning to Omnivision in Hamden for years, and now bring my daughter also. Dr Hochberg is always 100% friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and explains everything so clearly. The staff is also completely friendly, competent, professional. They make dealing with insurance and lens discounts a breeze. The office runs on time, always, and has a very efficient routine. I never even wait for the doctor more than a minute after I’m brought to the exam room. The shop is pristine and beautiful. And Nina, the optician, is the absolute best. She is super friendly and also respectful of different people wanting different things. She is super good at picking up on your taste and helping you find frames that you like and that look good on you. She’ll tell you her opinion in the most tactful way, if you ask her for that assistance, and she has a terrific eye, no matter what your style. She never pressures to buy more expensive things, and is happy with you if you get a good deal. Last time I went, she stayed to help me during her lunch break, and she was so gracious I didn’t even realize it until I noticed that everyone else was gone.
In a nutshell, Omnivision in Hamden is stellar at customer service, and they always make you feel like the most valued customer they have. I rarely write reviews, but this business deserves the time it takes to write all this out (on my phone!).

Dr Hochberg and his staff are professional, warm and friendly. I’ve been going to Omnivision for six years now, ever since I moved to Hamden. In fact, I am so pleased with their services that I brought my mother to them for her annual visit! Nina (who is amazing) helped her find frames that complemented her face and she walked out with a big grin. I drop in whenever I’m in the area to get my eyeglasses adjusted, and I enjoy browsing through their amazing collection of frames, trying on everything, every time I’m there. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !

My family and I have been patients of Dr. Hochberg for many years. His staff has always been very friendly, helpful and courteous. The office is beautiful and conveniently located with plenty of parking. Dr. Hochberg explains everything thoroughly and never seems in a rush. Nina is wonderful! She will help you find the glasses that suit you best and if you have to return to have them adjusted, never a problem!

This place is great! The staff was so helpful and understanding. I didn’t have a sitter at the time of my eye exam and my 1 year old was being a 1 year old and the receptionists entertained him while I had my exam done. The doctor was thorough and explained what each element of the exam was. He also got me out quickly and efficiently since my son was being rambunctious. Service was great. I’m definitely trusting them with my business!!!

I really enjoyed going to Omnivision Eye Associates and everybody was so friendly and helpful — Dr. Hochberg, the receptionist, the sales associates, everybody. They were pretty busy (Saturday morning), but I never felt rushed and they took the time to answer all of my questions thoroughly. I went here because of the 5 star reviews and everything exceeded expectations!

Dr. Hochberg and his staff are friendly and fast. The customer service was above and beyond what you expect when going to see a doctor.

Excellent place for an eye appointment. Really nice doctors, quick in an out and they squeezed me in when I wanted to get an appointment in soon. I would keep going here for my appointments. Hence the positive review BUT

However, they overcharge WAY too much on their glasses. I wanted to finally invest in a pair of prescription sunglasses and I was looking at $ 500 bucks with my insurance, I hate to say it but I found the same exact ones somewhere else for $ 200 bucks when all was said and done, same lenses, polarization and everything. The person working in the glasses area was nice but a little pushy, sorry dude I’m in college and work part time I cannot drop $ 500 bucks that easily. As another reviewer said they do have a GREAT selection though so if you would rather dish out for good service, go for it.
