The waitresses and waiters here after great. They are always helpful with any questions about their mug club which is a great deal. It is 50.00 for the whole year and they give you all sorts of special deals. My husband and I will be coming here a lot because of it.

This place is all about their gimmic. Generic European knick-knacks. The food is okay. It isn’t amazing, but it isn’t terrible. I had the fish and chips. The chips were okay, pre-made and frozen, but okay. The fish wasn’t. It came out looking nice, but under fried. The crust peeled off like a wet leaf instead of breaking and crunching nicely. Then there was the beer issue. I love beer so I was saddened when I watched the bartender pour me a pint of Boddingtons and serve it to me completely foamed up. If their menu was several dollars cheaper an item it would be a good place to eat.

The atnosphere here is very chill and open, they have tons of seating and also an outdoor patio. We came with a group of 17 people and we were easily accomodated in a nice, closed in, paito. The food looked delicious, we all got a variety of items. I saw someone get a monte cristo and put that on my bucket list as a reason to come back. The portion sizes are huge! I got spinach and artichoke dip and there was a little bit TOO much melted cheese on top that wasn’t melty enough so I had to keep trying to cut into it. The price is fair for the food and they have a pretty selective bar option. I’d come back!

Sunday evening and several of the menu items were unavailable. While it might speak to the popularity of the place over the weekend — I am not a fan of being told there is no pizzas. The staff was friendly and at the time we went it was not too busy. It was okay, but I’m sure there are better… I’m going to keep looking in Hampton for that great place to go.

I went in with a large party at 8pm. There was a bit of a wait until the reservation location was straightened out, but after about 15 minutes, we were seated. The party was set for 25 – 30 people. Unfortunately, the location set for us was not for that amount. Some of our party had to sit outside, then the high top bar was cleared for the remainder. We had one waitress, but she did a fantastic job. It was a bit slow, but they may have been understaffed, or whatever reason. There were others helping our waitress run drinks and food orders. I ordered the Shepard’s Pie. It is a beautiful and delicious dish. I couldn’t imagine getting a better variation of the dish anywhere else. Everyone else’s food looked fantastic and delicious, as well. I especially enjoy the outside seating/smoking area where there’s fire pit tables and heater towers. Overall, it is a great place for European-style dishes and brews. I bet it’s even better during the summer!

Only came here for a co-workers Farewell Dinner. Service was ok took a while to get our drinks and appetizers. We were really parch and no drinks in sight. I understand it’s a Friday night but a place like this should be use to a crowd land should expect it. We reserved for a party of 25 – 30 people but only got seating for 20 people so part of our party that came a little later sat outside and when the parties behind us left they sat the rest of our parties there. Not good. They should have enough seating to begin with. But it worked out in the end but still part of our parties sat outside. We did get our dinner at a timely manner I guess since we were busy socializing just the appetizer took a very long time. I’ve got to admit the dinner I ordered which was a Medium Rare London Broil was very good. I had it planned out what I wanted to order so it didn’t take anytime to decide or looked through the menu. I will actually have to come here and have dinner with my loves to see the difference to actually decide if they are worthy of more than 3 stars.

Came here on a Friday night with a group of friends and the place was pretty dead. Our waitress was very nice and accommodated everything we asked for, especially since we stayed until last call. I haven’t tried the food here so this is for the drinks only. Glasses were small but they definitely were heavy pouring, if that makes sense. It wasn’t cheap for about 6 drinks between my bf and I but I would still consider coming back to try food and see if they had any drink specials thought out the week.

Terrible, rude service on several occasions. They even charged my credit card twice for the same bill then didn’t want to refund it. The manager was totally unprofessional. You’d be better off finding something that’s not a strip mall chain restaurant.

I’ve been to Park Lane Tavern several times because they never seem to skip a beat. They are located in Hampton, Virginia, in the Peninsula Town Center. I often drive by at night or around dusk and notice the crowd sitting around the two huge fire pits outdoors in the back of the restaurant. My grubbing partner and I got lucky and went this past weekend while the local air base was having an air show, seating ourselves where we could see the jets perform. We sat outdoors that afternoon near the fire pit, me with the combo sampler which included pretty thick fried calamari, seared tuna and a spinach & artichoke dip as well as a goat cheese dip her with the seared ahi tuna meal which comes with strips of seared Ahi tuna. Served with traditional ponzu sauce and wasabi. What a beautiful day for a light lunch and drinks.

Great location and space, just OK food. Visited Park Lane on a Friday night. Lively crowd. Whiskey pour on the rocks — very small portion. Happy hour wines were uninspiring so we ordered a bottle off the wine list. Stuffed mushroom appetizer was long on mushroom and short on spinach/artichoke/cheese stuffing. Still tasty but not memorable. Jaegger schnitzel pork chop — excellent chop and sauce. The potatoes, beans and kraut on the side were decent but quotidian. Park Lane burger — perfectly cooked but the onion straws were on the limp side and the bun a bit chewy. Overall, love the space, food needs work. Sigh. Story of so many Clarendon restaurants.

The food was great and the atmosphere was very enjoyable. I had the sunrise burger and it was very good! The people I was with thoroughly enjoyed their food as well. The desserts were amazing as we were so full from the appetizers and meals, but we couldn’t stop eating the desserts! The owners are good people too. Overall, highly recommend!

I’ve always passed this place on my trips to PTC, so today I decided to finally go in and try it. I met my date here for a late lunch and immediately liked the old-timey décor. The bar is huge, and the place was pretty full with people. We were seated near the big windows, and our server was fast and polite. I ordered the Ahi Tuna Salad while my date had the chicken strips and fries. My salad was really good! Large enough to satiate, and there was just enough ahi tuna pieces to enjoy. The dressing was a little too heavy, though it tasted well with the wasabi. I found it amusing they gave chopsticks with the dish. just used my fork. Definitely interested in coming back to try their more European dishes.

While visiting/working in Hampton VA some friends suggested this British styled pub, and the reviews were a little mixed. however, my friends love this place and visit here frequently. So, it’s very kitsch, trying to be a British pub, but so americanized in so many ways. the bar is stacked and typical, nothing standing out really. They had a nice beer selection which made my husband very happy, though personally think $ 6 for an average glass of very is high. But what do I know. My husband ordered the corn beef sandwich, which I had bite of. It was very nice good, and smoked in house(thats what the server told us when we asked). I ordered their most popular menu item, the fish and chips. out came a huge piece of fried fish on a bed of thick cut french fries. The fish was good, simple flavors, fried to perfection. no complaints. The fries were average thick cut fries, bland, no seasoning. Because this was a dish that was so heavily fried(for me) I could only enjoy a few bites, which is fine. We passed on dessert. Our server was nice and attentive. I will say, our bill was more than I had expected for 2 entrees, 1 soda and 3 beers, before tip $ 68. I’m not a cheapskate by any means, however, I did feel that this was a little over the top for what we got. * My friend who suggested this place says she only comes on tuesdays at lunch time because the fish and chips is half price, IMHO, the half price on this item is what is should be ALL the time*

We drove here from Virginia Beach last night for a military going away. We were able to get the large knights table with the King and Queen chairs which allowed our party to be exclusive. We had 2 waitress’s which helped but led to confusion and a delay of what could have been great service. We ordered shot after shot and drink after drink. We had a good time. I’ve been here a few times over the years but the last time was nearly a year and a half ago. The crowds are loyal and tolerable. We did order the pretzels with the spicy honey mustard sauce and a cheese sauce which were excellent and hit the spot. I look forward to showing up again in the future for a drink.

Solid, but nothing to special. I’ve never had a bad experience or meal, but I’ve never had a great one either. The Gouda burger is pretty dope, and their wings are pretty good. I typically go because it’s one of the few places that my group of friends agree there is something for everyone, so that’s definitely something to consider if you’re going to eat with indecisive people. They have a nice beer selection, but I typically go for the bourbon barrel stout as it’s the most reliable as far as I’m concerned. The staff is pretty solid too. They’re attentive, but not overbearing. They never rush you to finish and leave, so I can appreciate that. So all that being said… a-ok. They’re cool with me.

We had a late lunch at Park Lane Tavern and were very disappointed. I had the london broil cooked medium rare with green beans and mashed potatoes. When the meal arrived it looked really good however, when I started to eat it was tough as leather. I did tell the waitress who asked if I wanted something else. My second choice was Jagerschnitzel which is a thin piece of pork that is breaded and fried and served with green beans and cold german potato salad. The schnitzel did not have any flavor except for a faint fishy flavor, like it was fried in the same oil as the fish and chips. Yuk! The green beans needed to be cooked a little longer and the flavor of garlic was overpowering — too much garlic powder. The cold german potato salad was just okay; a better side would have been a hot starch like mashed potatoes instead of a cold side dish. My wife ordered the hamburger which she did enjoy. Our total bill was about $ 50 so for that price I think we both should have enjoyed our meals not just one of us.

It’s been a while. Well over three years. Some okay experiences at other pubs I’ve visited made me wary of choosing a pub over(insert any other food option here). Plus, I’ve since worked on saving my liver. :) Anyway, I popped in for lunch a few Fridays ago to meet up with some friends. Friendly service, the cool atmosphere of the pub(okay, so I miss my many nights of throwing back on Bud Light Limes), and some delicious food. I ordered the Mangor burger with corned beef. This is extremely filling and if you order this for lunch, I advise planning out your afternoon and scheduling nap time. One small bite leads you to eating the entire thing and you’re in a food coma. Of all the restaurants and places to drink in Peninsula Town Center, I think this would be your best bet. European food is not on the top of my list but this can hit the spot. One special thing about this place is the décor. When you’re in there, take a moment to look around and see what they have. I looked on their website and it says that much of what their furniture was purchased in Europe. I have yet to visit Europe so this helps me get a feel of what I can expect. My friend who visited several times told me this was the case. Well played.

Came here for an anniversary dinner with the husband. Definitely our kind of place. Let me start with the reasons I didn’t give it five stars. It is loud. There was live music and the guy was good, but even when he took a break, it was loud. The other reason was our server. At first she seemed annoyed to serve us. She improved as the night went on. The rest of the staff were super friendly. Our food came out quickly. Let’s talk about the alcohol selection. There is a decent sized book, yes, book of beers, whiskeys, scotch and wines to choose from. Most beers are served in glasses special to that brand. Hubby was quite pleased with the selections. I had the sirloin and hubby had the corned beef sandwich. The sirloin was cooked to perfection. It came with green beans and mashed potatoes. It was tasty, but nothing was overpowering. The corned beef was pure. A weird term to use, but it didn’t taste like it came out of a package. A must try! Other items include burgers and pizza. For dessert we got the Guinness brownie sundae. It was like any other brownie sundae but more gooey, which is how I like it. There is also cheesecake, bread pudding and a berry dessert. A great place for date night if you want to cuddle close to hear each other speak.

Arguably, this is one of the best bars in Hampton. The Park Lane is modeled after an English pub, but it is flat out huge with a massive, giant-sized bar and cathedral-like ceilings. Oh, and the beer selection here is equally massive, with a beer list that leans toward the imported beer. Our bartender was Linsi, and her professionalism and charming manner reminded me of just why I like Park Lane the last time I was in Hampton: the bartenders rock! This may seem like a small thing, but I’ve spent some time in Hampton, and I have to say that truly rock star service is hard to find. Linsi made a pretty mean martini for my friend and shepherd me through the beer list to my final choice of a sweet Spaten. She also told us about their $ 5 Friday Martini Day, which made my friend almost swallow his olive. I’m certain we will return tomorrow to take in Park Lane’s inviting atmosphere and Lindsay’s cool attitude.. Oh, and as my martini friend says to finally settle the gin vs vodka martini issue once and for all.
