Food was great. We had the Korean chicken, teriyaki beef and loco moco. All were good and the service was fine with convenient covered seating available. We were there a little later in the day though(2:30PM). Prices were good considering location.

An amazing find on the way from Hana to the 7 Sacred Pools. This food truck is run by incredibly nice and friendly people who serve up delicious food. We got a plate lunch with ½ loco moco and ½ teriyaki beef. The portion was large and seriously soooo good. Mac salad was creamy and delicious. The corn was a little random but works with the style of the plate lunch and the truck. We got that one plate lunch and a Pepsi and it was $ 15. Strongly recommend!

5 freaking stars for the Korean fried chicken plate. For $ 10 the chicken I ate was all the tasty delicious goodness of saucey garlic/korean chicken I have ever eaten BUT without the fat chunks. I imagine papa Chow squatting over a tub plucking the fat off chicken thighs meticulously night after night so that the chicken you eat is just what it should be: deep fried meat and not deep fried fat(which is usually some of what you get if you’ve ever gotten Fatboy’s garlic chicken or are familiar with many of the kinds of asian fried chicken served in Hawaii). And I gotta mention that the sauce seeps onto the rice and its basically all you need in life after that drive. So while yes a place like Hana is a tourist trap and you will have to pay accordingly, the Korean fried chicken I ate here was definitely five stars.

Get the teriyaki burger! The photo didn’t do it justice and we almost went without. So glad my husband talked me into it. Still loved my cheeseburger, too. Great service and super friendly, as well! A must stop on your way through Hana. There was also an amazing organic fruit stand next to them that Chow’s recommended we check out. Not sure if they are there regularly but if so, don’t pass them up either. Bottom line. Get the teriyaki burger.

Very kind woman who runs the food truck and its a plus that they accept credit cards, because there are a lot of places near by that dont. we had the beef sandwich and the ono that was grilled. the food was a bit salty for my taste and the corn was canned, but what do you expect when corn doesnt grow naturally in that area. Its a good plate lunch if you’re on the go and its probably the only place around where you could get your quick burger and fries fix if that’s what you’re jonesing for.

Food and service amazing! Had Korean chicken and fresh fish of the day(Mahi Mahi). The chicken was full of flavor and amazing! The macaroni salad was the best I ever had! The fish of the day was fresh and good portion.

We are so happy to have found this place! Hana is pretty quiet and food offerings are limited. Either the menu itself is limited or prices are ridiculous. As far as I’m concerned, Chow’s is the place to go. It’s located just past the Chevron station on the mountain side of the road in a dark green food truck/trailer. I had the BEST beef teriyaki I’ve ever had in my life – so tender, generous portion, and they put something extra delicious in the sauce that I can’t quite put my finger on. My husband ordered the Korean fried chicken and it was off the hook. They happily prepared an off-menu grilled cheese for my son and even THAT was special. They were so nice and loving and friendly – what a great experience. Hawaii at its best!

This is a super solid food truck, especially given the rather random location on the Road to Hana. Chow’s is a food truck in a parking lot — not much else. It’s got a few picnic tables outside, making it pretty convenient, but there isn’t much fanciness to it. A fruit cart outside seems to be a permanent fixture, so you could also grab fruit here if you wanted. Prices are pretty cheap for Maui. We got the Teriyaki Beef and the Korean Chicken with rice and corn for sides. All were surprisingly good — the Teriyaki Beef was rather tender and nice, even though I’m admittedly not a huge fan of the dish. The Korean Chicken was like a weird yet tasty sort of General Tso’s Chicken. Honestly, this was a great find — I’d recommend it for hungry travelers especially.

We showed up about 2 minutes after closing, and they were kind enough to whip up a plate of fish of the day. Delicious! The cook made it a point to tell us when and where the ahi was caught – so fresh! We really appreciated the fact that they stayed open for us. We were the lucky ones, a group that showed up right after we did was turned away. You can’t blame Chow’s though – gotta draw a line somewhere.

We stopped at this place only because every other place in town had long waits. Well, for a food truck, the wait was ridiculous! They did say half an hour but we waited 45 mins and there wasn’t a lot of diners considering it was 2:30. We ordered the fresh fish special of grilled Mahi with light caper sauce and it was over cooked! The teriyaki beef was good but nothing special. I’d skip this one. Very pricy too.

I’ve gotta say I loved this place! Great food! We had the Korean teriyaki chicken and mahi mahi. Which was the catch of the day, super fresh! It was unbelievable! My kids had a cheeseburger when you first see it its a regular cheeseburger but as soon as you bite into it, it’s like none other! Delicious! The customer service was great! The cook was the one who actually decided for us. Best choice! If your ever doing the road to Hana you must stop by!

On our drive to Hana, there wasn’t many places to stop and eat. We didn’t plan too well, we were starving and just happened to come across the Chow Wagon. The lady serving us was very friendly. The food was decent. Nothing spectacular, but very tasty and filling. We had Korean Chicken and Teriyaki beef. Both were tasty. It’s the perfect food when you’re at the beach and want to grab something quick. Inexpensive, tasty, and filling. A GREAT find for us!

My hubby and I were actually lookin for a breakfast spot but by the time we were out about town, all breakfast spots were closed. While we were lookin at the menu, we were greeted by a guy in the truck(super friendly) and«auntie». All of a sudden a cop pulled up and started talking to us about how great the food was. Even though we were in the mood for breakfast we decided to each get the cheeseburger. Let’s just say, it was THE cheeseburger in «paradise». The burger patty itself was delicious! Organic, no preservatives, fresh! The fries were also yummy! Portion was huge, the hubby and I could have split one burger but opted to have one each. Budget friendly too.
