Man! Came to Baltimore for a weekend visit and are here while at the casino. This buffet was great! Nice selection of Asian, American, and Italian food. The boom boom shrimp, shrimp scampi, ribs, prime rib and fried mac n cheese bites are just a few highlights. I wish I could find a buffet like this back home!

We decided to goto the buffet because I had free coupons. What a mistake! This has to be the worst buffet ever created. The buffet at Maryland colleges has better food and service. The food is cold, salty, has poor taste and quality, and the service matches. The place is run by a bunch of African Americans with attitudes. Do yourself a favor, don’t go.

I came here with a friend on Friday night for Prime Rib night. The food was decent, the primary reason for my review was the despicable laziness and piss-poor customer service from the manager/cashier. My friend and I arrived at approximately 6:30pm. There was no line and we approached the counter where we were«helped» by an African American female with short hair and glasses. We ordered two buffets and paid with one credit card. My buddy had a Maryland Live gold card and asked her to apply any balance from his account. Well… There was 47 cents on his account. After the two of us had a good laugh, we asked the cashier to go ahead and use it up. I used my credit card for the difference and off we went. In the midst of our meal, my buddy realized that we were supposed to get a $ 4 discount($ 2 each) for having a Maryland Live card. After asking the cashier/manager about it, she replied only, «oh, we recently changed our policy that we can’t give the discount if you use any of your promotional balance.» When we asked her why she didn’t warn us not to use the $ 0.47 in order to save $ 4, she only replied, «sorry, it’s our new policy.» It was like talking to a wall. Either she was incompetent or just lazy, but regardless the customer service was pitiful as she offered no remedy other than«too bad so sad.» Obviously the dollar amount is inconsequential, but the principle was insulting. Will never return.

Buffet– I now go strictly for the crab legs. I’ve nibbled some of the other items from time to time and I disagree about the salt factor. I’ve found some items to be too salty. The taste of most of the items I tried was good BUT I hate luke-warm food. They need a better warming system. Casino– One of the worst I’ve ever been in. what’s up with the warm bottled water? Not attentive to guests at all… I miss Vegas and cant wait for The MGM.

So my family and I went here 10.25.2015 because we’ve ate here before and the food was great. NOT the case this time around. Nothing we had was worth the $ 15.99 price. We filled up on the spiced shrimps and the salad bar. The cheesecake taste sour, the carrot & chocolate cake were dry, the chocolate chip cookies were the only desert we could stomach. The bussing of the table was practically nonexistent. We were told there were others voicing the same complaint and maybe the reason was a change of the chef. Whatever the reason, our decisions is not go back. For this price we can enjoy a better meal somewhere else.

If you’re coming for the crab legs, go! If not, go to Golden Corral. The $ 35 is worth it for the crab legs even though they portion them out and even though there’s no old bay. The staff is very attentive, professional and friendly. I’ll be back for crab legs and maybe lunch.

Man I read a few reviews ahead of mine and i’m not hearing it. If the only thing missing from your food is the salt factor, then thats why they put it at the table. This is a business man, not mamas home cooking. I guarantee that if everything was seasoned perfectly, there would people a list of people saying that the food is to salty. There were parts of the buffet that didn’t agree with me, but with a selection so big, there is bound to be something you don’t like. Thats why it’s so big! you may not like everything, but you will a few things, and really what more can you ask for? I cannot wait to go back, and get my grub on because last time I was at live the only place I broke even was at the buffet… Great Job!

Not bad at all! After reading the reviews, I was skeptical. Like many reviewers stated, the food was«bland». I came for lunch and I understood why the food was unsalted. The crowd was older. The eating area was really clean and my server was attentive. The food was ok, but there was a wide variety. I particularly like the fruit and salad bar. My sister and I had enough credit to eat for only $ 4.65(for the both of us), but I don’t think I would make a trip if I had to pay full price.

This is the worst buffet I’ve ever eaten. Not even the dessert was worth eating. Seafood buffet was only crab legs and shrimp, chicken was greasy, Chinese food was terrible. Not worth the price at all.

This place is always a hit or miss. Some days there are no lines and others the line is out the door. There is almost always a line when they have the«two for one buffet» promotion. The food is either really meh or better. They have their days. The best things here are the crab legs, chilled shrimp, fried oysters and coconut shrimp. The crab legs used to be self serve but then within the last year or so, they changed it. An employee must now serve you the crab legs and there is a limit of how many you can get at a time. It’s a little ridiculous and really just kinda ruins the entire experience. It’s a little overpriced for the actual selection. If you are going to eat here, only come for the weekend when they have crab legs. Otherwise, you are wasting your money. Service is meh. They don’t do much but refill drinks and clean tables, and sometimes they don’t even do that. If we really want crab legs, this is a place we’ll go to. Otherwise, it’s meh.

Messed up our Mother’s Day! Checked their website & scrolled down to the Live! Market Buffet & saw a Mother’s Day Brunch special… well I’ve never been to their casino & suggested that my family, my mom & sister, Sister-in-law & her family, and mother-in-law go… well I did not see anything that said that there are no external entrances to the restaurant and children are not allowed in that particular restaurant. We all ended up having to break up in different groups and ended up not spending the day with each other. I called their phone number to basically let them know that I was not happy that I did not see this clearly defined under the Mother’s Day special areas and ran into an unprofessional and argumentative representative. Let’s just say within 2 minutes of speaking to her I requested a manager, then she huffed at me & made the noise«ooowwwww!» Ma’am are you serious right now? Well thank God after an accidental dropped call with the manager & calling back I believe her name was Tameka, she was great, professional and understood that yes I’m expressing my displeasure but also trying to give them a tip because this will happen again if they don’t have it better noted on their website. She actually apologized and was very pleasant. I thank her, but can’t give more stars because my day was already ruined. I’ve never been to Maryland Live to date & will have to let some time go by to determine if I ever will due to this experience.

AWFUL I will never ever go back. We travel around frequently, and the casino buffet is usually a go to for when you want to grab a quick bite and then get back to playing. However, this was the worst casino buffet experience I have ever had. There was clearly some kind of lack of staff. it took us until our food was cold to get silverware. The food on the buffet was horrible,. Most things had no flavor or were cold. Even if they paid me $ 20 I would never eat there again

I have been to many bad buffets in my life but this was BYFAR the worst of the bunch. The selection of food was extremely limited. Many items seem to be missing. The carving station had nothing but sausages. The italian station had no pasta(?!), only«pizza». Yes, I put pizza in quotes. I could go on at great length describing the bad dishes available, but I’ll sum it up to say that I had a hard time finding anything acceptable to eat. About the only thing that was not a complete disappointment was the frozen yogurt. But, as far as I know, you can get frozen yogurt elsewhere for less than $ 18 per person. In addition, they started handing out plastic utensils and cups at one point because they«ran out of clean dishes». Everyone who works there seems to know the place sucks, and their effort and enthusiasm reflects that opinion. The only positive: I didn’t get sick.

This review is based on at least 7 or 8 dining experiences, having tried the lunch, the Sunday brunch, and the weekend dinner buffets. I can’t help but join the chorus of haters and pile on another 1-star review. That 1 star is not earned in this case, it’s just the lowest possible rating I’m allowed to give. Believe me, I really wanted to like this place. When it first opened in the summer of 2012 I was so excited at the prospect of finally getting a decent buffet in Maryland.(There’s only so much Golden Corral one can suffer through before your stomach finally surrenders and dies.) I have to say, for the first few months it was pretty damn good. It had a decent selection of appetizing food. The desserts were fresh. The carving station offered a variety of meats. The overall food quality was good, and the staff was usually attentive. Had I written my review back then, this place would have earned 4 stars, which is really something since a new restaurant will often stumble in the beginning, and gradually improve over time. But not here. The Live! Buffet has taken a nosedive to depths the Golden Corral has never seen. For $ 35 a person, I expect a certain level of quality and service. I mean, hell, for $ 10 more(and a plane ticket) I can dine at the legendary 5-star Bacchanal Buffet. So what do I now get for my $ 35? Leftover food from Shawshank, and a staff who just doesn’t give a shit. Honestly, there is nothing here worth eating. Everything, and I do mean everything, is either bland, stale, underheated, overcooked, or rescued from the dumpster. In a word, it’s gross. I expect better fare from a homeless shelter. The crab legs are a joke. Tiny, briny, and from far fresh. I’ve found better tasting pizza molding in the back of a frat house refrigerator. Most of the entrees have zero appeal, and half the time you have no idea what they’re serving because the signage is either wrong or missing altogether. Seriously, how hard is it to put the correct sign above each item? Is it pork, or is it chicken? Does the«chef» even know? Even the salad bar is a joke. Dig through the lettuce and you’re sure to find pieces that are rotting. The containers of toppings and salad dressings are frequently empty, or look old enough to qualify for Medicare. Too many hot items are served at room temperature or are simply undercooked. The Asian bar is famous for this. Apparently, nobody in the kitchen has a thermometer, or understands the consequences of serving food below 140 degrees. Maybe if someone stopped for a moment to taste the shit they were putting out on the buffet line, they’d realize that it was cold. And disgusting. And probably 4 days past its prime(if it ever had a prime). The managers schlep around like extras from The Walking Dead, totally oblivious to things in desperate need of attention. Like dirty plates piling up on tables next to empty glasses and frowning faces, while servers stand around and gossip about the diners they’re ignoring. This buffet has become a joke and an embarrassment to the Maryland gaming industry. At this point they should just close it down and put in more slot machines.

Came here tonight on a Friday night for seafood buffet. If you are a rewards card holder, you get two for one buffet coupons. Saves $ 35! I agree with the other Unilocal reviews, just stick with the crab legs, chilled old bay shrimp, and fried oysters. I was quite full and happy. The rest of the food, meh. They have an Asian, Italian, pizza station, carving station, seafood section, fried section(wings, chicken), salads, and tiny desserts section. Our service we had tonight was great. Very attentive, filled our drinks, got us beer, and took away our dirty plates. No complaints on service. Come early as this place gets packed after 7PM.

I’ve been to the Live buffet for crab leg night and Besides the crab legs, the rest of the food is not appealing at all. The service is horrible and I honestly think it’s because no one leaves tips. Both times I’ve been there it’s been packed, but I’m not sure if they are paying customers or comp’d customers. If you have to pay, it’s $ 35 pp.

This place is great. Walking distance to the from the mall and movie theater. They have a awesome restaurants within the casino, You will never live this place hungry! Live buffet lived up to its reputation. We went for dinner and we were not disappointed. Besides having an enormous variety of foods, they were all delicious. From the prime rib to the seafood we all ate to our hearts content. The staff was wonderful and very attentive. If in Arundel Mills this should be a must visit.
