My favorite local dive bar. Good service and they have half price Pizza days. Local music plays here sometimes.

Best owner and staff. This bar flourishes because of Damien and his generosity and great attitude. The food is good the pizza is good the drinks are strong …6 stars if I could

Never enough staff and the staff they do have is extremely rude and not friendly with kids at all. Although the food is decent bc of the staff won’t return. Not family friendly at all.

Got the pizza here a couple times and it was awesome. Got takeout today and got 3 pizzas, potato skins and a cup of clam chowder. The fella who took my phone order lacked any sort of a personality, but hey, if the food’s good, so what. Well, got home and pizza was good, skins were good. The clam chowder: NOTSOGOOD. My son spit it out on his fist bite. My wife tried it and almost threw up. I immediately called and got the same guy who took my order. I asked if there was a manager on duty, and he said«there won’t be a manager here until tomorrow.» Really?! No one there taking any kind of responsibility all Saturday evening?! So, I proceeded to tell this guy that the chowder is clearly bad or old. All he had to say was«thanks for the call» and hung up. No apologies or offer to refund me. Pretty disappointing and I’m not sure I want to deal with this guy on a regular basis. I can understand accidentally serving clam chowder that turned bad, but this is the kind of customer service makes me say forget this place. NOTWORTHIT.

Always a fun place to go for a cheap but decent meal and fairly priced drinks. Nothing fancy but basic American pub fare well executed and flavorful, usually end up going there almost once a week. The thing to get is the pub style pizzas, they are the best pizzas honestly I have had on the East Coast(do note though that they are totally different style from Greek pizzas or Italian pizzas so if that’s your thing, this may not be your cup of tea). Great crunchy crust, perfectly melted cheese. The atmosphere is fun, funky, dive bar feel. Beware though that at dinner time it gets totally packed so be prepared to wait in line. And don’t forget the free popcorn — always a good bonus!

Nice casual atmosphere and cold beer… pub pizza is very good and I’ve also enjoyed steamers and seafood when it’s on the menu.

The service was great, clean neat place but by far the worst pizza I’ve ever had in my life. We ordered a buffalo and a bbq. I couldn’t tell which was which. The nachos weren’t too bad. Great atmosphere for beers and friends

I’ve only eaten take out from here. The pizza is probably 3 ½ stars, close to 4. The wings are 3 stars. I’m a tough judge when it comes to pizza an wings though and consider any national chain a 1 maybe 2 star. For around Hanson it’s definitely one I the better options. The sauce is decent flavor and they get extra credit for it being the right amount. Everything else is what you’d expect from a 3 star pizza. Then again even decent pizza is pizza.

Great pizza here, they have ½ price pizza nights, trivia, meat raffles on some nights. The servers and bartenders are very friendly. They have a good variety on the menu –I got a spicy chicken penne dish that was on special, and it was really good. They also have live entertainment as well on Fridays and Saturdays. The draft beers are very affordable too, and they have ICE cold beer. An all around great place to go with friends.

I stopped in for a drink and a pizza, not only was the food great but the bartender Jen was fantastic! She was energetic, efficient and friendly. Definitely going back when Jen is bartending.

We stopped in here to end our evening last night. The bar is a very decent size, some nice TV’S to watch some of the games, I would think it is a nice stop during football season. Our bartender, I did not get his name, he was very friendly and efficient. Our glasses were always full, the beer was cold and nicely priced. They had a two man band playing, they were very good. The bar is not loud, it is warm and inviting, I was very impressed and would certainly go back. below based on five stars. SERVICE **** FOOD N/A ATMOSPHERE **** DECOR **** RESTROOMS **** OVERALL ****

I am not a huge fan of «bar pizza» unless its Damien’s. Forget Poopsies or Town Spa — give me Damiens every time. This is such a great place to come if you are looking for an(extremely) laid back place to grab a few beers and a pizza. The service is always pleasant and friendly and I have never had anything I didn’t really enjoy. Burgers, even the steak tips are really tasty. Free popcorn is also hard to beat(and is super salty — which makes the beer taste better.) Damien’s is what it is, a great, family-friendly local place where you can eat and still afford to pay your mortgage and put gas in the car. Also not bad place to have drinks with friends.

Great little neighborhood place with people from all walks of life. Cold beer, friendly waitstaff and good consistent food. Great little bar pizzas as well. I’ve had some great times at Damien’s.

On the night of my visit, a Juicy Lucy was one of the specials.(a restaurant staple in Minnesota of all places) It is essentially a cheeseburger with the cheese encased in the meat. Since I had recently made my own, I wanted to try Damien’s version. Wow, what a disappointment. What I got was two beef patties with melted cheese on top. Nothing special at all, average taste as well. Word to the management: if you are going to run a special, the kitchen staff ought to know how to prepare it. Otherwise, the Guiness was smooth and the server was on top of her game. She comped us a free drink for the kitchen error. Nice recovery!

I like to stop off at Damien’s on the way home from a stressful day at work. They have okay food and free popcorn but it is not a restaurant that leaves an impression on you either way. One thing that bothers me about Damien’s is that it is more a restaurant than a bar, meaning there are no shots, limited mixed drinks and it’s really not the best«Party Atmosphere» one may come to expect in a bar. Most of the bartenders and servers are great although some can be unwelcoming and dismissive of customers at times.(Particularly close to last call) There is live entertainment with no cover charge on Friday and Saturday, but from what I have personally observed it’s nothing to write home about. They have Mass. Lottery here, as a gambler I have to admit that really makes me like this place more.

I’m a little concerned about one of the filtered reviews. If comments about the owners customer service is true then I’m extremely disappointed. Food is ok, most entrees under $ 10 to $ 12. Little bar pizzas that are all over the south shore. Service is ok, a little slow out of the kitchen. Can be VERY loud.

Love the food, and you get a lot for the price. I never feel out of place here, and I’m not even close to a «regular.» The first time I went to Damien’s, I felt welcome. No one cares what you’re doing, how you look, what you’re eating… It’s a good vibe. I’ve never had a rude waitress. Specific food recommendations: bourbon turkey tips, steak tips, salad wraps, boneless buffalo wings, and pizzas.

I’ve been back alot more since my last review well over a year ago. i thought it was super-clicky the first handful of times went there. like«you-walk-in-and-the-record-stops.» but maybe i just didn’t like when it was really packed in there… it’s probably still clicky, but who knows because i tend to go when its not so packed now. their pizza is still really good and they actually have cheap drinks(around $ 6 for a tall bacardi). tuesdays for ½ price pizza night is a cheap night to go out, eat and get tipsy.
