A small trailer with the sign«Pat’s BBQ» with some colorful picnic tables outside on the lawn. This looked temping last weekend as we drove by. We were up the road, stripping classic car parts, and we were dirty and not restaurant worthy. I suggested this place as we could eat outside. THe menu is simple BBQ and burgers. Thanks Robert for posting the photo of it. I had the pulled pork sandwich($ 5.00) which had generous mounts of moist pulled pork with a mild slaw on top. Lightly seasoned. There was sauces on the table to choose from to doctor it up the way you wanted. We were actually served. When ready, the woman who took our order brought out our plates. Jack came along and he got a smoked pork bone($ 2.00). It was a nice day out and we enjoyed our outdoor picnic.

Not a bad place, a «slow smoked Bar-B-Q» truck just south of Aubuchon’s. I checked out their«Michigan Dog,» a low-quality frank split and grilled, topped with a «beef sauce»(ground beef) and fresh diced onion.. . could’ve used a little more time browning on the grill. The meat of it was a not-spicy, not snappy, plump Ball Park-style hot dog, though you can’t really fault them for serving it, as that’s the kind of thing they eat around here.. . Jordan’s and McKenzie’s, I venture to guess the NEK’ers don’t know any better.. . The chili was okay, a mix of ground beef and chuck. Good baked beans. A decent Bar-B-Q sauce, and they serve ribs($ 12 – 13 per lb.) The pulled chicken($ 5) was a bit dry. Burgers seemed to be the bargain here, starting at $ 1.50. There is a little tent outside with some sit-down tables, ketsup, mustard and Frank’s Red Hot, if you like. Worth checking out, a good experience, but nothing really worth raving about.
