Being from the south(well, living in the south), Dunkin Donuts is a bit odd. While we have Dunkin Donuts, they are not the same. There are only a handful of them, and they are not busy at all. In fact, one recently closed. I could be mistaken, but I do not think that would happen in the northeast. Ever. While we do have other doughnuts(notably Krispy Kreme), they are even fewer and rare. In Charlotte there is currently one, and it is in Matthews, not Charlotte. There is another that is 30 or so miles away, in Gastonia. The idea of having a donut shop on every corner is a bit foreign, to say the least. A bank, church or gas station? Not a problem. But donuts and coffee? Highly unusual. Nonetheless, in this area of the country it is definitely the norm. You could probably find that they are opening another one inside an existing location. If not, when you walked outside, you would very likely be able to spot one from where you are standing. This particularly location is decent, if on the slow side for being in such a high-traffic area. Once you get to the counter and place your order it arrives surprisingly fast, which is odd since the line itself moves so slow.

This is yet another DD location that I frequent, although I don’t usually prefer to. This is a very small location, with only 2 registers and employees at most times, but a lot of traffic. I often visit this location because they are located attached to my garage. If I am craving some coffee and on my way to my car, this is pretty much my option. Due to this, I am usually stuck with them although I don’t want to. With so few employees this place is normally pretty slow. I often think it would be quicker to walk out of my way to a different location and then go to my car, but I have never actually done it. I am always hopeful that there wont be a line, but alas there always is.
