Well here it the nitty gritty. way to hipster for me. and I’m pretty hip. the tables were really awkward makes you feel like you’re having dinner with strangers. the food was good my husband had a decent burger and fries, I had a vanilla pb shake which was off the hook and an order of fries and rings. I really wasn’t a fan of the atmosphere or the price. $ 35 for our order which was a bit pricey for what we got. The onion rings were though and they didn’t serve any sauce with it. the waiter couldn’t really tell us what beers where good so the hubs just got a standard cola that tasted like the colas you buy for 99 at the store. Would we go back? although the burger was good not much else appealing for me so probably not.

This place is really good! Highly recommended for anyone. I am a vegetarian and usually when I go to a burger place I except some generic frozen veggie patt, soggy on a cold bun. But this place had three different veggie burgers, all homemade and two of which were vegan and one was also gluten free. Menu was extensive and cane be made to order anything with a vegetarian option. The sides were fresh and very hot(both heat and spicy) and came with several sauces and the staff was very helpful and attentive and gave us extra sauces to try the fried pickles with or our fries. Everything was homemade, organic and sustainable. My friend and I were really happy we went and we are definitely bringing our friends here too. My friend noticed the beer list as well and said that it looked good and would definitely try a beer with it next time. She and I both ate ALOT and were very satisfied with the restaurant.

My wife and I decided to give this place a try after hearing so much about it. I got the standard burger and my wife got the socal. I got mine medium rare to really taste the flavor. We both thought the burgers were pretty average, not great, not bad, but really not too memorable. If I worked in the area, I would probably eat here once in a while. We sat at the bar and the service was great. They also had a great draft selection which really complimented the burgers. I like how open the space feels when they open up the front area.

Average burgers. Service was terrible Went pretty early, a bit after it opened in the morning on a weekend. The burgers took way longer than it should have, around 30 minutes if I could remember. And getting the check was another ordeal, after all your food is on the table they’ll forget about you unless you get up to grab their attention Definitely need better waiters and a faster kitchen. If you have time to spare like over an hour for lunch, then this is the place for you

1 out of 3 order came out after 2 of us were done already. Tiny burger for the price. Brioche bun was so so. Good atmosphere. Will give it another try in the next few months. Not bad, but not a great dining experience. ***Update January 2016*** Different waitress but again great disappointment. This place just needs to re-educate their staff. Seated as party of 3 yet only 2 sets of utensils. Hello?! We never asked for the 3rd set so we shared. Lack of basic attention to customer service here. I can see some staff were trying hard at other tables, but our waitress was just not up to par. Hope she learns quickly. Manager(?) walks around asking if everything is okay, but doesn’t seem to be truthfully concerned. I saw 2 waitresses working but with their ability, its not enough. Service was slow at best. No drinks menu.(actually they seem to be not only short of it but was later told the draft beer list was recently changed and has not been updated yet) Restroom was nice and clean. I ordered medium well. It came out medium rare. Hope to give another try, as my family seems to like this place, and I would hate to disappoint them by refusing to go with them…

I came here about a year ago on a Friday. The wait was insane, but was expected given the night. I ended up sitting at the bar. Food was good, but it was way too crowded in there for me to eat comfortably. Today, I decided to give it another shot. A «fifteen» minute wait ended up taking close to forty minutes. Service was slow and to top it off, they forgot part of the order. The waitstaff never asked my table if we needed refills(which we did), and when we finally got someone’s attention to ask, they handed me the check. There was never any check-in with my party by the staff and they couldn’t recover after messing up our order. Instead of trying to make up for their mistake, they tried to rush us out. Food was okay, but nothing to write home about. Will DEFINITELY never return. They need to step their service game up!

I’ve been to both Bareburger restaurants in Astoria. I love the Bareburgers in Astoria. I have apparently been spoiled. This location is no Astoria… My burger was tough and tasted overly seasoned. Not the tender, perfectly cooked burgers I was expecting. My wife had a buffalo chicken monstrosity that was rubbery, soupy and impossible to eat. The sides are all basically the same and up to par– the sweet potato fries and pickle plate passed muster. But if I wanted pickles and fries I could go to Stop and Shop. What the hell happened here? I will say that the servers were all awesome. About as friendly, efficient and attentive as they could possibly be. But the food made me want to weep into my pillow as if grieving… grieving the death of deliciousness. If you’ve never eaten at one of the other locations you probably won’t even realize what you’re missing. BUT I KNOW. *whispers in your ear*…I know… Now leave me be while my burger grief runs its course. Time heals, or whatever.

I love the choices here. Everything is organic as it should be. I had the very basic burger with onions, lettuce, and habanero mayo — which works quite well. Taste wise it was very fresh unlike salty and oily burgers you get elsewhere. There’s a variety of meat on offer, so I will try the others eventually. You must try this place out if you’re into fresh food with no hormones etc…

I am an organic, all-natural fiend, so any place that offers this fare is golden to me. I really enjoy the burgers and selection of different meats/meatless options. I took off one star because the menu is so limited its gets boring after a while. I know that this is a burger joint and they do that really well, so why get complicated, but sometimes i just want something other than burgers and salads. I also wish they had a few more appetizer options. I hear they are getting a new menu soon, so I am excited for that. Otherwise, this place is great, the staff is awesome and super attentive. They have a great selection of beer and organic wine. I am a forever fan of this place.

After writing my last review and eating there a few times, I decided to write Bareburger to find out if «Bareburger Organic» means organic meat, organic everything or something in the middle. My family has pretty much switched over to an organic diet, so knowing what’s organic and not means a lot to us. Unfortunately neither the Hartsdale branch nor the national office got back to me. I think what I’ve asked is valid. A company writes ‘organic’ on their sign but their menu and website has no further information or certification to back it up. What’s the deal? I can only assume they don’t care to deal with an inquisitive customer or holes in their advertised claims. Either way… Not cool!

This the first time I have gone to this place. My mother had suggested, and I am very pleased with it. The menu is set up different so I relied on the waitress which helped me navigate the menu. The food is a good portion and vegan and gluten free friendly. I like my portion which was a perfect size. The food was amazing . If your looking for a big chunky traditional burger this is not for you. Everything is organically grown and sustainable. It is an earth friendly place.

Wow! How have I gone this far in life without trying this place? Stopped in after a servicing appointment with a local car dealership and was absolutely glad that I did! Now, I won’t go as far as to say this was the«best» burger I’ve ever eaten, but it was absolutely fantastic and would eat it again in a heartbeat. They have quite an interesting variety of burgers to choose from, ranging from elk to wild boar and duck burgers. I wasn’t feeling as adventurous today however and opted to build my own beef burger. I went with a nice brioche bun and topped off my condiments with a spicy habanero mayo. The burger had a very fresh taste and was not overly oily as some places tend to be. The country bacon was delicious(you can also have duck bacon or brisket) and made for an excellent topping choice. This is a nice sit down restaurant for those looking for a gourmet burger(instead of the usual fast food type) that has a great variety of options that will have you coming back for more!

I finally got to try Bareburger after hearing friends/classmates rave about the ‘new burger place’ that had opened up in White Plains. The restaurant is really spacious with a rustic feel, and at 7PM on a weeknight, there were plenty of seats available. I got the Grindhouse elk burger cooked medium well because I usually don’t like my meat bloody, but I should have definitely left it medium — which is the default — because it ended up being a little overcooked. The meat was already a little tough to begin with, so that didn’t help either. We were pretty much left alone during our meal and since each table gets a huge(repurposed!) wine bottle filled with water, the servers don’t really have any reason to stop by and check on you. It took us a while to flag someone down for the check, but our food came pretty quickly. With all of the other burger joints in the area, I don’t know if I will be back, but there are definitely some interesting meats on the menu!

i was conflicted on whether to give it 4 or 5 stars. I decided it to give it 4 stars only because we had to wait about 15 minutes to get our check when i had already asked for it twice. The food, however, was delicious. I made my own burger, and ordered regular beef with the brioche bun, aged cheddar, country bacon, veggies, and with special sauce. Didn’t really care for the special sauce, kinda tasted like just bbq sauce. I really did though like the sauce that came with the onion rings, the paprika mayo sauce which was the bomb. The onion rings were very crunchy and just seasoned enough that its a must get when you come here. Loved how even though i ordered well done on my burger, the meat wasn’t dry and was still very delicious. The staff was friendly and attentive for most of the time until our server disappeared and we did not see her again. Quick and efficiently at seating and attending us but just wished they hadn’t neglected us towards the end. We would’ve left without paying and they probably wouldn’t have noticed. Recommend for the food.

The new menu that started today is intriguing. Love the Southern Caviar. The new fried chicken is even juicier than the previous one. They finally get the meat temperature done right as well. Sampled the El Matador and it beats the previous Guac Burger. Whatever bacon you normally tried, sub it with the Duck Bacon. Leaner and just as crispy as the Country Bacon. Oh mama

I was quite disappointed in my visit here last Saturday night. Originally I had intended to sit at the bar for quick eat but seeing how the place was packed decided to order take out and just eat at the car thinking the kitchen would get the food out pretty quickly. Perhaps it was because I ordered Bison burger but I had to wait over 30 minute from point of putting in the order and actually getting the food ready and I had expected better from such a highly reviewed place. To be fair it does seem they fill out orders and getting patron seated as quickly as possible while I was there so its very possible my ticket was just shuffled around. Anyway, the Country Bacon Bison burger I got was to be honest again disappointing for the amount it cost.(~$ 14 – 15) I haven’t had bison in a long time but when I was in the south I remembered it was quite delicious with less calories but the one I had here felt just bland with overly slabbed with mayo. It was cooked as I asked though so at least they didn’t over or under cook the meat. The sweet potato fries were decent but the portion is small for the cost.($ 5) felt more like a $ 2 – 3 add on at most. The small shake I got was pricy but it was worth the money in my opinion, that was the best part of my meal. Very freshly made and delicious shake, quite thick too so you know they weren’t skimping on the ice cream. Overall for a $ 23 meal I really expected better, perhaps they just weren’t strong with their Bison burger. I’d be hesitating to come here to try the place again unless it was with a group set on coming.
