Great burger, super sweet staff! Should be putting all the «Smash Burger» joints out of business! Don’t go there… go here! You will not be disappointed!

There are great choices and the staff is super friendly. You can start with anything on the menu and they’ll customize it any way you want. Inexpensive for what you get too. only wish they had some veggie choices for sides.

First time today, food was delicious and fresh, I’m still craving those chili cheese fries, staff was pleasant and friendly as well, I shall return

Definitely a solid burger spot. Had the double burger with cheese and other toppings with the chipotle mayo. This is a good middle ground between your regular fast food spot and a burger spot like Shake Shack. Plenty of sides and other options to choose from.

I’m giving this place 2 stars and it’s not because the food isn’t good; IT’s AMAZING!
However, I had a hard time coping with the fact that the woman behind the counter with the salt N’ pepper hair was talking down to another employee that worked there. And it is my business when I’m a paying customer and see this. It could be that there was some language barrier or something or that the salt n pepper lady was working incredibly fast and ANYONE could’ve stood in her way. That woman is NOT a team player.
Lo’ and behold, I could not work up the nerve to say anything to the other employee’s defense in fear that I would start problems.
But it wasn’t right. She raised her voice at her several times and spoke to her as if she was dumb. That’s no way to speak to anyone. The salt n pepper woman eventually booted the other woman out of the area and told her to «just clean the tables and scrub» some stuff down.
The media portrays Trump has an evil man (and I don’t know if he is) but this woman was definitely close to the way the media portrays Trump.
Horrible experience. This place could have easily received 5 stars if I didn’t have to witness that.

Just «ok».
Reminds me of what you would get a luncheonette. I can’t say that is good or bad.
Considering we now have Smash Burger, Five Guys and Bareburger (as for a good chains are considered) in the ‘chester.
Clearly a great burger in a independent joint would be a better choice, but something fast, I’d do the other three.

Service deserved an A+! Everyone was really nice!
I forget what I ordered, but I thought it was cute how the buns were put inside out so it would have a nice crunch. We also ordered the irish nachos, and they were so good! I do wish they would have been a bit more generous with their condiments.
The grill was visible and all the food was made to order. The restaurant seemed clean and well kept.
The price was a bit steep for what seemed like a random fast food restaurant, but the service and food was worth it.

So, I’ve been here a few times. I’ve tried the chicken sandwich, the burgers, and the shakes. I’m sorry to say nothing was really all that special, especially for the price and size. Lots of ice crystals in the coffee shake too-​plus I didn’t taste a hint of coffee favor. Don’t get me wrong, the food isn’t ‘bad’, but I’ve had more flavorful take-​out from Burger King.
I’ll give this place more of a 2.5 than a 3. will say, though, that the staff is amazing-​always very friendly & helpful to this newcomer. Also, the fries are really good. Still, I probably won’t be returning.

The Philly burger is great, it was nice and juicy, compared to other burger places, but the prices were a little high in general. The cashier and server were really nice!

We love this place! As newcomers, we are on a little mission to try out all of the burger joints around. This is a great balance of value and flavor. Great burgers and fries! My wife liked the hot dogs. Smaller (more rationally sized) burgers than what seems to be popping up a premium burger joints.

My buddy took me to this place a few months ago. It is without a doubt, my favorite burger joint in the White Plains area! The food is amazing and the staff are pleasant people to be around. They also have a points program that earns you rewards each time you make a purchase. My go-​to meal is the triple philly with fries. Absolutely phenomenal!!!

Had the rodeo burger yesterday with fries and ordered a «black and white» milkshake but I got an Oreo milkshake instead. milkshakes are way to icy. Fries are really good burger is okay, owner/​manager is very rude.

First off, if you blink you’ll miss this place. It’s kind of hidden between a ridiculously big Verizon and some other store. But don’t let that fool you, the food is actually good, the french fries are amazing. They also have special sauces but you have to pay a few cents extra for it (bummer). I took one star off because the service was kind of slow but the food was brought to me even though I ordered take out which was nice.

Taste is great, they make everything fresh. For the price, you’d think the order should be a little bigger though. Staff is nice, and always there to recommend something to you.

Good burgers, beef, turkey, veggie, chicken, cod. All are very tasty. They give ALOT of fries, homemade potato chips, both Outstanding. The shakes are AWESOME ! Debbie Smith is the greatest owner ! Always good service, a kind word besides. Hey Yaniv G… burgers & fries are not diet fare. You are FAT, stay out of Jakes, don’t mean-​mouth the place !
And Kristine V you have to be kidding. Jake’s quality is there so you made a mistake, but the only place you listed as burger alternatives that is decent is Five Guys, Smash Burger’s product leaks of watery grease & tastes disgusting. Bare Burger is almost TRIPLE the price of Jake’s, and Bare Burger has skimpy & pricey sides.
Biased criticism, at best.
My husband and I go to Jake’s often. Food good, atmosphere pleasant, waitstaff nice, Debbie the BEST !!!

We’ve ordered from this neighborhood joint a couple of times and have not been disappointed. The burgers are pretty good, though a bit skimpy on the beef. Chili fries were good and greasy. Shakes are delicious. Service is prompt and friendly. No issues here.

Well, Unilocal!was right on with this one. Good solid burger and good fries. Order at least a double patty as they are thin, but tasty! I’ll definitely be back!

I saw other reviewers commenting on how empty the place is and I have to agree, I think its location made it bit hard to find as its tucked between H mart and Verizon wireless and probably explain why not that many patrons here. I have to say was quite surprised to find a burger chain next to an Asian supermarket too, doesn’t seem quite the right target audience haha. But it is close by to Bareburger down the street so I guess Central Ave is just a popular choice for these newer chains.
Anyway, I think the food itself is decent and is actually step above typical fast food chains. The patties were actually juicy and the extra cheese slices made a much bigger difference in terms of taste, but it is bit on the expensive side for a burger size similar to fast foods. The chili fries was decent but it felt like eating more chili than fries which was bit surprisingly usually I would find more fries than toppings at a burger place.
The shake was definitely the best part of the meal I thought, although again the portion feels small compare to like say Smashburger. We end up spending about $ 18 on a burger/​chili fries and shake definitely bit above average in terms of cost. However the food is actually decent and the burgers are actually fresh made definitely not your typical fast food style beef patties.
Being that it was empty when we visited the staff was quite attentive as we arrived just about an hour before closing time and they were already cleaning up for closing. Definitely good service for a non sit down table service place.

My first time here after an afternoon of Christmas shopping w/​friends. They are located at the end of the large strip mall. The place was well lit and surprisingly empty although by the time we left it filled up. It is well lit and offers adequate seating for medium sized groups. I was impressed by the cleanliness and observed bring a lady mopping as well. There were numerous employees behind the counter. We were greeted by a friendly woman, I later found out she is one of the owners.
Orders are placed at the counter and one can easily customize with toppings. The wait time was normal. I will no doubt return with my husband, a real burger lover!
I ate the friend chicken sandwich which was super yummy — no fries although I was tempted. I really wanted the onion rings — an all time fav of mine but decided against it after seeing it was over 600 calories. Maybe next time I will share it with my hubby.
My girlfriends had the cheeseburger, a double burger and one had the grilled chicken burger. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Prices are reasonable.

I could not be more impressed with quality, taste, and variety of burgers and shakes.
I just hapenned to be in the neighborhood with my family and were looking for a place to eat. If it wasn’t for one of my son that noticed the pictures of various burgers we would have passed right by this place.
All of us loved our burgers, shakes, and fries. We we would definitely return
As a bonus, the service is phenomenal and the place is extremely clean
