I’ve been here a few times, the tables are never clean, you’re usually waiting for a table. and I notice, depending on who you are with determines your customer service. I go with my aunt sometimes and we get great customer service because she is a regular. But I brought my parents to try this place for the first time and we were pretty much ignored the whole time, I don’t know if it’s because they don’t think they were going to get tipped or what, but my parents first experience there was horrible. I’ve been in the serving business for over 5 years so no matter what I always leave a good tip. But other than that, it’s not best Vietnamese food, but it was ok. The food comes out pretty fast you can usually get in and out within 30 – 45 mins

The restaurant was almost empty when I arrived and I think it contributed to how quickly they were able to get my order out to me. Either way, it seemed like I had just turned to look at the menu when my tea arrived. My phở was also out in record time. The tea was a sweet jasmine and was wonderful. The phở I ordered came with the usual basil, sprouts, lime, and jalapeños. The soup was hot, rich, and tasted fabulous. While I’m in town visiting, I may have to stop off here a few times.

Phở Bang’s phở is just touches the soul every single time. Perfect for those rainy, or cold days! But I have to say, their other dishes aren’t so great such as the beef rice combination plate, and the beef vermicelli noodles. Stick to the phở and I promise you won’t be disappointed! 100% authentic vietnamese dishes.

What terrible phở – watery and flavorless broth with frozen vegetables from Costco. The grilled shrimp with vermicelli was a little better, but not enough to redeem this place. The server was aloof and brusque. Last meal in NOLA last night was a dud, but at least we had some good food for most of our other meals.

Walked in and none of the tables had been cleared. Also the waitress was rude and unhelpful it being my first time having Phở I had questions. Food however was hot and tasty. But more than likely will not return to this location

Phở is the bomb. Seat yourself. Comes out quick. Less than $ 8. Definitely great phở. I really like how you can pay the check when you are ready; most Vietnamese restaurants work that way. My favorite is the Phở Nam & Bo Vien(brisket and meat ball). If it’s your first time might as well go big or go home, #8 on their menu has everything: innards and rare beef etc.

The best Vietnamese food in the New Orleans area! My family has eaten Phở Bang for years(even when there was only one location) and have never had a complaint. Fresh and delicious EVERY time.

I am always impressed with both locations. The freshness, the service, the flavors, and the great atmosphere keeps me coming back time and time again. I always get the #35 I believe it is. It’s called com bo luc lac. Fresh vegetables, beef, rice, and soup for $ 13. You can’t beat it

Phở Bang on Manhattan is a local chain restaurant and is pretty consistent with their dishes. The phở beef broth is delicious. I’ve also had the chargrilled pork vermicelli, lemon grass chicken rice dish, and the phở bo kho(beef stew with noodles) is the best! If you’re looking for a bahn mi sandwich, they aren’t on the menu. Sorry. My one recommendation would be that they clean the dirty tables right away instead of leaving them full of food. It’s like that when they are busy and slow.

Phở Bang is a local chain restaurant. They’ve been operating for over 10 years now. I believe their first location is in the East(Versai). I grew up there & it was normal for all families to brunch there after church. Anyways, there’s two locations in the Wank. I actually prefer the Expressway location more but have dined at the Manhattan location as of lately. I enjoy the small bowl of phở with brisket only. The broth is flavorful and the bowl is always loaded with meat ! I ask for extra cilantro and onion. Then, add fresh jalapeño, basil, bean sprout, and lime juice in my bowl. I use the sate(chili oil) as a dipping sauce for my meat.

I eat Phở and other Vietnamese food quite often. The Phở ga(chicken) was ok. The broth didn’t have an abundance of flavor before I added all the fixings including hoisin sauce. It wasn’t bad though. The pork spring rolls are very good. My mouth is watering just thinking about it now. The pork inside was grilled and flavorful. The restaurant has a cozy, casual feel to it. The main issue I had was with waiting for the check. After a long wait I had to get up and ask for it. Then the waitress asked if I was paying with a card, and if so to just go to the register. Earlier I saw the waitress bring another table their bill, so I had no way of knowing that I should just go to the front.

I am on a major bun bo hue kick lately… I get on something for a while and have to try it everywhere I go that it’s on the menu. It was pretty good here after I added some salt. It was a huge bowl for $ 8. So much that I ordered extra noodles to go and I have breakfast tomorrow… Don’t judge me… I eat crazy things for breakfast and eat breakfast for dinner :^P it is what it is! All in all its not my favorite soup place but it’s in the top 5. My boyfriend loves the phở but I find it slightly too sweet tasting for me. 4 stars! I give it 3.5 and he gives them 4 so I rounded up. Worth giving them a go! Everyone’s taste buds are different and so are each restaurants broths!

Great phở! Was in Harvey for business and found this gem down the street from my hotel. You know your in for some authentic eats when your the only non Asian in the joint. I have been seriously craving some good Vietnamese food since moving to LA from St Louis. This place hit the spot. I started with an avocado bubble tea. Thick, sweet, creamy, chewy and green. Delish! Everything bubble tea should be. I ordered a large meatball phở. It was only $ 1 and change more than the small and I wanted some leftovers. A huge bowl of steaming broth with a side of sprouts, jalapeños, and basil arrived. Slightly salty, great flavor and plenty of noodles and meatballs. I left satiated with a large cup full of leftover phở for tomorrow. That is if I don’t break down and eat it tonight for fourth meal.

This place is the real deal! I went with the spring rolls with pork egg roll inside… one of the most interesting and surprisingly tasty things I’ve had in awhile! The beef steak and brisket phở was wonderful. The broth was very flavorful and the small was more than enough food. The prices were very decent and overall a great experience. For an extra treat, make sure you check out the chili oil sauce on the table. I don’t know everything they put in this, but it is delightful!

My favorite spot on the Westbank by far. Their iced coffee gets me going — Love It! Spring Rolls — Amazeballs! Phở — Great, not so salty(which I like), very clean taste

JUSTGO. I have gone to this Vietnamese restaurant numerous times throughout my entire life. I’ve been to its old location, Westbank expressway location, and Manhattan is my main bc I live near it. The new restaurant is beautiful. The location is smack on Manhattan and parking is always available. The phở here is amazing. Everything you’d expect phở to be like. It comes with lots of fresh veggies and bean sprouts and the tables come with the various sauces you can add to your bowl. I don’t add hoison sauce or sriracha because the broth is amazing on its own. I can’t really describe it, just try it! My little sister is as picky as it gets and to this day, the only phở she will eat is Phở Bang’s or my boyfriend’s mom’s. Making phở takes a long time and my family would willingly do that, but we haven’t made phở in years because we can come here and get it for a great price and fast. The Bun Rieu is delicious and perfect for lent/vegetarians. Bun Bo Hue is alright, but the flavor strays from what a traditional bowl would taste like. The thai tea is my favorite of all time! They are able to proportion the tea, dairy, and whip perfectly. I’d definitely recommend. All the other dessert/drinks are great too. The spring rolls aren’t my favorite. Crab rangoon is!!! The vermicelli and rice bowls are delicious as well. Phở Bang is an overall fantastic restaurant. The food is aromatic and authentic and the service is AMAZING. The workers personally know my family and always ask how we are doing and make small talk. The only thing I would change is that the menu could offer a little more variety that other Vietnamese restaurants have, but it is a phở oriented restaurant so the five stars stand.

I LOVETHEPHOHERE! Their broth isn’t salty and their meat is very fresh! :D I’m from TX and I regularly eat Phở. The broth from Phở Bang is one of the best I’ve ever had. It’s so yummy and it has just the right flavor. Pretty sad I won’t be able to try this weekly: c Their prices are very reasonable for the serving + generous with their meat!

In short order I have found myself here alot in a month. It is really really good! My usual is a large bowl of phở nos. 12 – 14 Cant go wrong with them. I have had the chicken and its good, but I have this idea to eat that only when I am not feeling good. Nothing like chicken soup and this is turbo charged chicken soup! The eye of round brisket is rolling ! I have had phở at several places on the westbank, but of them this one is really really good. I take into consideration the service speed and staff attitude as well. Being a fat American on the rush, they totally get me. I walk in, in .5 secs I am greeted and usually told to sit anywhere. In about a minute asked for drink order and food if I am ready. In under 5 minutes a huge beautiful bowl of steaming phở is in my face. A 15 min lunch is totally doable here. Also a quick glance around, at lunch time, you will see a wide mix of professions in here for the same reason. Fast wonderful food. Now if you have the time to linger and chew the fat, that is totally cool too. When it comes time to pay the bill, so far only once the super friendly and beautiful server mentioned she could take it for me. Usually I hop up and walk to the counter and pay. That looks like the norm anyways for phở places. If you find yourself on the WB and wanna try an quick bowl of phở for the first time or a seasoned fan of that and haven’t been here yet, it is totally worth it and its fast! Man, I could use some right now…

THESTATEOFPHO(fuh) It’s that time again for our monthly rendezvous with Rice B. and her«Silent Partner.» It was originally planned a month prior to visit Terrytown’s Hong Minh Noodle House which had fabulous reviews along with«broke your mouth»(Hawaiian slang: yummy) food pictures. Unfortunately they left to go west in the direction of California according to the mailman. We were too hyped for phở(fuh) and the closest Vietnamese restaurant on our bookmarked list was Phở Bang interpretation«The State of Phở» or perhaps Phở Kingdom. Cha Gio(fried rolls) served with stingy bits of lettuce… nice and crispy and filled with meat… most tasty especially dipped in their very mild(water diluted) sweeten fish sauce(nuoc num). Momo’s hefty shoulder cut pork chop, egg cake, shredded pork and pan fried egg with soup… very tasty and most filling. Yu-go always get the bone. Yu-go ‘s Bun Bo Hue served with pig’s knuckle and plenty of sliced beef… absent was both blood cakes, galanga shavings, and a very weak broth to meld the few ingredients It’s winter which does impact the available varieties of basils.(assuming they offer a better variety when other basils are in season). Rice B. chose the Phở Dac Biet… she said Phở Bang served the best phở she has ever experienced in this region. Silent Partner said he preferred Lilly’s pork chops… perhaps the absence of lemongrass would have been the difference maker. We also observed other diners who predominantly either ordered rotisserie chicken, grilled pork chops or phở. The ambiance is warm, welcoming… restrooms very clean and new. Hint that there was a profesional decorator in the mix with noticeable ceiling and wall trim plus well coordinated color scheme for flooring and walls. Service is old fashion Vietnamese which means minimal and pay at the counter.

What happens when you’re craving phở at 9AM on a weekday? You drive over to the Wank! There was one other family dining when I arrived. My server/owner was sweet, fast and patient. I loved the broth and it was exactly what I was craving. I was happy there’s two sizes offered in case you didn’t quite need an urn of broth. When I’m needing an urn of broth, I’ll be back :-)
