Overall, this restaurant was pretty good. The outside lounge with the fire-pits over looking the water was so cute and romantic. After around 30 minutes of enjoying the outside, our table was ready. We placed our orders at 9:00pm and didn’t leave the restaurant until 10:30. I feel like the service was very slow. Our waiter was paying more attention to the older couples and families than us. We even had to ask for our bread basket. The food was very delicious. I got the grilled shrimp and garlic pasta and my boyfriend got the clam chowder to start and the Asian BBQ braised short ribs for his entrée. There wasn’t anything that I wouldn’t order again! Had the service been better, it would have been 5 stars.

Always love coming here; the atmosphere is great and the service is superb. Have never been disappointed by anything I’ve had here. It is my go-to for a local pub near my house. Sure it’s a little pricier than the average bar but you will be treated very well and leave feeling like it was money well spent.

Labor Day Weekend was greatly enhanced by a stop at the fire pit for drinks at Thoreau’s. What a fabulous setting with views. This is a romantic date spot for an afternoon. We perused the drink and food menu and were wowed. Wait service is close to perfect.

Great clam chowder and and fish and chips. I had the chowder twice in my short trip. Wish I’d been able to return to explore the menu more fully. There are wonderful views of the water. I’d definitely visit again.

Delicious lobster fondue! Love the atmosphere, wait staff is friendly. Good selection of wine, The Predator was a knock your socks off kind of Zinfandel.

Very nice little bar/restaurant on the Wequassett Resort grounds. its perfect for a nice glass of scotch. They have many leather bound menus and it smells of rich mahogany. Seriously. Minus the mahogany. The food is of excellent quality as well. I ordered linguine with clam sauce and expected more clams. But it was still quite tasty. The view out through the main dining area is a spectacular view of the sound and boats. The service was fantastic, so it’s hard to complain about. Expect a great meal at a pretty expensive price tag.

Thanks, Hannah! We always expect great thiings from Wequassett and you did noy disappoint. The martini’s were excellent and the food over the top amazing. My husband and I really enjoyed polenta, the incredible scallops and the mussels(best dipped in the warm butter sauce). Our kids enjoyed their meals although they were very disappointed there is no more free cookie ice cream sandwich with a kids meal. This is a diamond on the rough.

Great food in a more intimate setting. Clam chowder and filet mignon were my personal favorites. But honestly, I would say the food everywhere at Wequassett was great. One of the restaurants at Wequassett where pants and closed shoes are not a must for dinner. Children allowed and if you ask, they will even bring paper & crayons to keep them at bay while you wait for your feast to be served.
