I do like going to penera, food is mainly good and with the correct choice it could be very healthy, how ever this penara in Smithtown is the worst managed that I’ve been in, it’s my local one so I tend to go there once or twice a week, consistently have to ask the management for fresh coffee, 2 out of 3 times my orderes are wrong, today the coffee was 1 hour 40 min old and the manager said no we are not making fresh coffee. Shame.

Today I was given complimentary lunch because a sandwich I recently had turned out awful The food today tasted fine but once again the portion size is obsurd considering the cost I’ve thought this before but it has gotten worse. They shld b embarrassed but yet the customers r true blue n pack the room. It took me 4 bites to get to the turkey R customers stupid or just desperate to sit somewhere ?? After today I hv promised myself that I will never have a sandwich at panera again. However an occasional bagel or cobblestone is fine. If u r on a diet panera is the place to be. I’m confident u will not exceed ur calorie allotment w their portion size

I do love the food here and it’s quick and easy to order on the app. However, about every other time they’re getting my order wrong! I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had to drive back into their itty bitty parking lot that has the tiniest spots and go in and wait for my order to be redone. If you’re getting food to go make sure you check what’s in the bag is right!

My friend has been trying to get me here for months and finally she did… I am very happy. This place is AWESOME… I have always been greeted with a smile and hello. The restaurant is big, bright and a bit lively. They always help me order through their wonderful soup and sandwich choices.(I can be a little indecisive at times). My favorite is the Napa Chicken Salad and Chicken with Rice soup… This is good SERIOUSLYGOOD. Really fresh and chunky chicken salad that is almost ‘refreshing’ to eat. Pair that with the creamy chicken soup with rice and you enjoy a flavor explosion. I am a relative newcomer to the Panera world and extremely glad that my friend turned me on to this place. I love places that have an «electricity“about them. There are so many establishments that have good food but may be so low key that they are almost downright depressing to sit in. People come here to eat because they are fans of Panera and want to be there to eat relax, use their free wi-fi and just be around some lively conversations and atmosphere. Easy to park at all locations I have visited and the lines(always lines) move quickly because management feels that putting on a few extra people during peek hours is the RIGHTTHINGTODO! The people who ultimately give you the fool=d are friendly and when you’ve been there a few times will actually know your name. KUDOs to the Panera formula… You got it right!

Come here a lot and never have an issue. Same as any other Panera. Only Panera dish I find disappointing and do not order is the French onion soup. Most the paninis and salads are great, and lately I’ve been diggin the seasonal butternut squash soup, very delicious!

Here is the good: The bread is great(but expensive), the broccoli soup is tasty and the décor is nice. Here is the bad. The food is subpar, IMHO. The chicken and turkey is packaged and it has a very processed flavor to it. To me it’s inedible. I ordered a few sandwiches in the past and each time I was disappointed. I’ve never had a sandwich I really enjoyed. It more like OK it’s a sandwich and it’s filling me up. One time I got wheat bread and it was too much bread so the sandwich was dry and not very good. The last time I was here I ordered a BLT. The bacon was rubbery since they don’t have a grill to crisp the bacon. Rubbery bacon is not appetizing, the tomatoes were orange and they use garnish type lettuce which has no crunch. It was the worst BLT I have ever had in my life. Lets move on to the salads. I wish they had normal dressings. They have all these strange dressings like BBQ ranch. The dressings are either too sweet or have an off flavor. The only dressing I like is the balsamic. It’s not bad at all. I ordered a Greek salad and asked for pecans and avocado. I literally was given 5 pecans which adds up to .10 cents a nut since I was charged an extra .50. The avocado had two little pieces for an extra 1.00. Now when I asked for no turkey on my BLT I was not given a credit. Might sound stupid but if you are charging for extras you should credit for not taking something on your sandwich. There was barely any feta cheese or tomato in the salad. They are getting very stingy with their salads. All in all I ordered 2 picks two’s and one loaf of bread and one drink and it cost me 31.00. I really think that the pricing is outrageous for the quality of food they are serving. It’s processed food and bagged soups. Nothing but the salad and bread is fresh that I’m aware of. I will stay away from this place. I just can’t believe how many people are satisfied with subpar processed food. If Americans stop eating at these bagged food places maybe the corporate giants who only care about profits will re-think how they feed America.

Not bad, the same as any other Panera. The staff was friendly enough and our food was made quickly. I wish they had more seating available(and outdoor seating that is easier to access) during the summer months.

Food is always outstanding. I have read the CEO’s comments about the need to improve«throughput» which is desperately needed. The process of adding self-ordering kiosks and having the order delivered to your table is desireable, even though it will take three years to fully implement. However, I do not want to pay for the upgrade. I was shocked on May 8th to see a new menu board with price increases on virtually every item. A sandwich I buy-tomato/mozzarella went from $ 6.69 to $ 6.99 a few months ago. Now it is $ 7.29. This increase of 50 cents is 8 percent. Other items rose comparably, even small bowls of soup. So we struggle with admitted sub-par throughput but pay more for the privilege. Bye-bye PNRA — hello Chiptole.

Pretty bad experience here. I don’t normally frequent Panera Bread but was on the road and in a rush and figured I’d pop in for a quick bite. I ordered an onion soup and one of the ½ chicken sandwiches with some iced tea. The onion soup was pretty good, and they have some awesome selections of iced tea. The piece of bread on the side was also pretty good. Now, when I got to the sandwich, I opened it up, and it was like shredded chicken with some mayo type of sauce, a tomato, and some lettuce. The chicken was pink. Not even like mostly white with a tint of pink, it was pink. I hate complaining. I work in a restaurant, and the last thing I would ever want to be in this world is an unnecessarily annoying customer in a restaurant. That being said, I’m not about to eat some undercooked chicken… especially not at Panera Bread. So the girl at the counter said«oh the chicken always looks like that, it’s just the way they cook it. We don’t actually cook it here though.» I said, «yea they don’t cook it enough, which is probably why it’s pink.» I didn’t want to make a huge deal out of it, so I just asked if I could get something else, and that I’d even pay the difference if what I wanted was more expensive. I told them that regardless of whether their chicken was safe to eat, eating pink chicken is just kind of unappetizing. The manager came over and took care of it. I told them I’ll just take half of a tuna sandwich. Then, after waiting a few minutes, one of the cooks asked me if I was waiting for something. I told him that I was waiting for half of a tuna sandwich. He was like«oh man, I forgot, just give me a few minutes.» I was cool about it, as it was no big deal, but just thought that was a little weird. The tuna sandwich was pretty bad. The lettuce on it was brown around the edges and it was pretty flavorless. Maybe I’ve just become more of a food snob than I thought, but this experience definitely reinforced why I never eat at this place. My fiancée loves Panera though, I think I may have to call off the marriage after this stunt.

First, I ordered a meal for the whole family to go and one of the panini’s I had ordered wasn’t even in my bag. So we were short one. The manager was sorry and said to come in whenever. It was just inconvenient because I was 20 minutes away. I returned a few weeks later for breakfast thinking I would get the equivalent in credit and I ordered for 3 but the cashier credited me for a bagel sandwich that was $ 4. I questioned her and asked her ‘would you pay almost $ 9 for a $ 4 bagel? ’ She said she couldn’t do anything else. I asked to see the manager after trying to explain I needed a credit that equaled the amount i had paid previously which was their mistake to begin with and was an inconvenience to me. The female manager was not friendly nor was she willingly accommodating in any way. It was like i was inconveniencing her. I was just annoyed that I had to fight for something that was rightfully mine to begin with. I prefer other Paneras to this place that’s for sure. They really left a bad taste in my mouth.

Great food, but very few gluten free options. Would like to see Panera offer at least one type of gluten free bread.

I typically come to this Panera when I have work out East and it always is a pleasure compared to going to Starbucks since the meals are much better and the coffee is on par(although I’m a sucker for the Clover Leaf brews at Starbucks).

I recommend the Ham & Swiss Soufflé for breakfast, and either the Mac ‘n Cheese, or one of their delicious paninis for lunch. Gets really busy right around noon, and that makes parking nearby almost impossible. The staff is nice, and take your orders very quickly

Being that I’m a carb-lover, this place is awesome. The bread is baked fresh daily and is simply delicious. I love the array of sandwiches, soups, hand-tossed salads, and beverages… all of which are made to order and not pre-made like a lot of fast food places. The breakfast menu is also great here. The bakery/café feel of this place makes it nice to meet up with friends or enjoy a quiet table to yourself. The chairs and booths are very comfy and I’ve spent many hours there just to read or study while munching on some good food.

This particular Panera is really good. It’s large enough to accommodate everyone who wants a seat even during the busy hours. They don’t limit your internet time during busy hours, and they keep the place a nice warm temperature(without being too warm!). The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the area — so if you are new to the neighborhood, you can also ask for directions with your coffee and bagel. I like how the tea and coffee are in the same place, so you can make your drink the way you want to without walking all over the place. This is a very good Panera!

Good stuff as far as chains go, and it’s pretty conveniently located. Volume comes in waves, so plan accordingly. Grab a seat outside when it’s warm weather.
