(Read my friend Carl T.‘s review!) I went with my friend Carl to this place and it was in a really janky area on Mission Blvd in Hayward. Parking was behind the place so you had to find it. It was a really small mom and pop shop. It was clean from what I can remember. There was only one girl working there. She didn’t seem all that happy in my opinion. We ordered a strawberry banana and nutella crêpe and it was really good. I’ll give credit to this place for its tastiness!

Two sisters started this place up and have made a gargantuan impact on the sweets market in the Hayward area. They have their griddle right by the street window and it’s aesthetically pleasing to pass by or watch the masters at their craft. Décor is homely, with books on Aztecs peppering the counters. The TV has something on all the time, mostly movies(good ones too). I haven’t been able to try other crêpe combinations because the nutella, banana, maple syrup and whipped cream combo always wins me over. The flavors blend and meld with ease, kudos to the chef. If you prefer a certain crisp to your crêpe, they usually ask. I bike there but for others who drive, parking might be frustrating since it is flanked by one-ways and a busy intersection. Hopefully a spot on Foothill is available but there are plenty of spots in the very back. Crepes are a rare commodity in the Bay Area and I am fortunate to have Crepes De Art so close to home.

Tasty but nothing extraordinary. They definitely got the soft crêpe right, unlike those japanese dessert places with their extra crispy crepes — BLEH! The savory crepes are a little better than the sweet crepes. #12 Salmon, artichoke, spinach, basil, capers When you actually could find a bite with some salmon it was yummy. I expected there to be more though since this was one of the higher priced crepes. More $ means more right? I guess not. The bell pepper and pesto sauce on the side didn’t increase the value. #9(?) Chicken with hema Reminded me of a chicken enchilada lol.

My first time at Crepes de Art was about a week after it opened. I don’t remember that much about it, except that the crepes tasted pretty good and that the customer service was really sweet and nice. Couldn’t remember enough about it to write a review, but I just went back to this place again tonight for the first time since that last visit, and I’m glad to say that nothing has changed. Came here tonight at around 8:55. Yep, 5 minutes before closing. And the lone girl working there let us in with a smile. Seriously, if it were me working there and a group of 5 college kids came in right before closing, I woulda been pissed off, but no, she smiled and seemed as happy as could be. Even made conversation with us. The crêpe that I got had nutella, strawberries, bananas, and sweet milk. All covered in powdered sugar, chocolate syrup, and some whipped cream. Delicious. Everything a crêpe is supposed to be. My only gripe was that the crêpe itself was a bit soft to my tastes, but while she was making the crepes she was telling us that she could make them crispier or softer according to what we wanted, so I’ll tell her to make it crispier next time. Everyone else in my group said that their crêpe was good as well. One of my friends even wanted to lick the plate and was disappointed when she took it away. The worker there herself was really nice. She seemed only a year or so older than us, and easily engaged in conversation. Talked about her school and our school and how her business was. Fun stuffs They also had The Sandlot playing on the TV screen. Seriously, The Sandlot. That’s one of those movies that just makes you smile. «This is my heater. I dare you to hit it.» Can’t go wrong playing a movie like that Location wise, this place is kind of in a ghetto looking area. It’s literally a hole in the wall type of place so it’s really hard to miss. I actually forgot about it until I drove past it tonight and was like«HEY lets get CREPES!!!» Definitely am gonna come back here though. Way too good to only have once :)

Hmm. I don’t know about this place. it’s tiny and looks like it’s still under construction. Nancy and I had lunch a few times at Siam Palace across the street and saw Crepes de Art and said we would try it one day. and that one day arrived. We walked in, starred at the chalkboard menu on the wall, and placed our order. We sat down(there were 3 tables and a bar table along the wall underneath the TV), shivered a little bit because it was SOO cold inside, and waited for our food. Nancy had the turkey, mushrooms and cheese. and I had the turkey, cranberry, artichoke, spinach and feta cheese. The crepes came out beautiful! My crêpe was a little cold but still pretty tasty. The guy was generous with the stuffing! $ 6.75 + tax for the crêpe. not too shabby!

This place has the potential and right intention but unfortunately there was something a little off on every front. First off creperie in this area, good idea. When we get there, there is a sign that says back in 10 mts They seem to support local artists and there are t-shirts and paintings for sale. The paintings are ridiculously pricey($ 375) The girl who works there was sweet. She was the only one and it took ~20 mts + for 3 crepes. Décor was simple and aesthetic The restroom was out of order and all 3 freezers were too loud They had a DVD playing a movie It was not working well and we could hardly see the picture Lot of crêpe options Crepes were too thick and not that good. The best one was the one with the condensed milk and even that was just OK. The diced chicken in the savory crêpe was nasty, too little cheese. The employee also mentioned that they are looking to move to a larger space. It looks like they are owned by 2 pretty sisters based on the newspaper article on the wall. Well, I wish them luck but IMHO they need to step up their game. Again intentions are there but not quite there.

I’ve been wanting too check this place out for a while now and finally made it in on 10÷5÷10. I ordered a savory crêpe. Strawberry banana and nutela. I was the only one their and the employee was Pretty nice. He even checked up on me while I was eating and asked how things were. I swear I had half of it eaten in like 2 minutes. It was that good. I’ll be making my way back as soon as I’m in the area. Especially with the 10% off coupon I got.

Woke up today wanting some crepes… well deserved after a pretty rough week at work. So I turned to trusty Unilocal reviews and found this spot in my very own backyard. Didn’t have a lot of time before work, so I had to take my crepes to go… no big deal! They were done very quickly and beautifully. I had my first savory crêpe ever in life, a super filling egg-mushroom-cheese. I don’t know if you usually get a choice of cheeses elsewhere, but I did here, and the recommendation of Jack cheese served me very well indeed, with a smattering of orange sauce that gave my crêpe just a little bit of zing. Of course I couldn’t walk out without a dessert crêpe, and here as well Crepes de Art did me good, with a nutella-strawberry-banana confection with whipped cream in a separate container(that was a nice touch, since I mentioned that I would be driving to work, and who wants soggy crepes?). And yes, another lovely thing — Italian sodas! An unexpected treat. The girl even offered to put cream and whipped cream in it, saying she knew that most people didn’t know you could order an Italian soda that way. Amaretto, whipped cream, what else do I need in life? It’s been four hours, and I didn’t even finish my dessert crêpe(saving it for my break tonight) but man I’m still full and satisfied. I usually like my crepes light and airy, and these were a little heavier, but they were still good, prices were great, and bonus points for the Italian soda and excellent service. This is the best lunch I’ve had in a while. ^__^

I love to support the local eateries near my work. I decided that I wanted to try the crêpe spot nearby. As I walked in I was greeted immediately by Joanna, who is the co-owner w/her sister. I decided to get the Turkey, Mushroom, Spinach, and Jack crêpe. It was very delicious. After devouring the savory crêpe, I was feenin’ for a sweet crêpe. I asked Joanna what is a good suggestion for my sweet tooth. She suggested the Lemon, sugar butter, and Orange Jam Crêpe. It was an excellent suggestion. After chatting with her for about 30 minutes and enjoying the crêpe, I had to Unilocal about this. Both crepes were delicious and I will definitely be back for more. Thanks Joanna! I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

First off I love Crepes. They are so great. The color black of all the foods you can name. Simply a classic. You can do anything to it or eat anything with it and it will taste awesome! Now onto Crepes De Art-First walking in, they were friendly and very welcoming. The restaurant was very clean which was a definite plus. Me and my sister decided to share two crepes between us. We ordered the Caramelized Onion-Feta Cheese-and Sun-Dried Tomatoes Crêpe(yes that is one crêpe) and the Chicken and Cheese Crêpe(we added Avocado’s as a recommendation from the man who was cooking it). When we got our food it was SO good! Delicious and you could taste everything on it. My other sister also ordered the«special» and it was great as well. Onto why I am giving this review 5 stars– The desert crepes that we had was with Orange Marmalade and Lemon Crêpe and the Coconut-Pineapple-and Honey Crêpe. Now just so everyone who reads this knows I don’t care but I don’t care much for Marmalade, However the Orange Marmalade Crêpe was one of the best things with marmalade i have eaten in a while(but i still don’t like Marmalade). Now my only gripe is that the other dessert crêpe had much too much honey in it. I love honey but that was too much honey. But seeing how I didn’t pick these out on the menu I cant fault them on it. But very great. Overall, everyone should give this«hole in the wall» a chance. Don’t judge a creperie by its exterior. The food is great and I cant wait to go back and eat there. Great customer service. The owners were absolutely friendly but not too much over the top(which i appreciate). In fact! Stop reading this and go out and make an appointment to go eat there! Awesome Crêpe de Art! You have yourself a fan.

Finally a great creperie close by! Went there for the first time today and had a great experience. The food was excellent and the owners were very accommodating. I had the Egg, Basil, Tomato, & Mozzarella Cheese crêpe customized with the addition of Turkey. My girlfriend had the Salmon, Artichoke, Basil, Capers, and Jack Cheese crêpe. Both were very tasty, especially with their special sauce. My favorite part of the experience was chatting it up with the two young owners who look like their in their early twenties. The story of how they went from an idea to an open restaurant is truly inspirational. They’re totally open to feedback, what’s good and what can be even better, so let them know! TIP: Ask to get put on their VIP list for specials and discounts.

I went here for my friend’s birthday brunch. She got Nutella, Strawberries and Bananas. I got Blueberries & Honey. I read it wrong and thought it said Bananas too… she was super sweet and brought over an extra small plate of bananas anyways. It was really really good, and had very fresh fruit. I haven’t had such a good crêpe in a long time. This is not one of those places that have pre-soaked fruit in sugar and just plop it on as you order… it’s the real thing here. It’s also quite a small sweet cozy place. Unfortunately its situated in a hugely dead area of Hayward. Next to a whole bunch of «For Lease» and«For Rent» signs. That movie theater and little new strip should liven up the area soon. I would suggest menu’s for sit-down customers. We ordered, paid and then sat down to eat. Because of this, we totally forgot about tip when we got up to leave. I felt really bad, but I promise to tip double next time I’m there. If the take-out area and sit-down area was more separated with different servers for each I think it would be nice and less confusing. I would suggest a bar area for people to sit down to watch their crepes being made… good touch. I’ll be back… promise…
