Subway

A correction to the review that Unilocal reviewer Michael M. wrote. This Subway IS NOT the other third of a Safeway convenience store/​gas station.
It’s a Speedway convenience store/​gas station. :-)
It’s your typical Subway — experience will vary from visit to visit!

Tucked into the other third of a Safeway convenience store/​gas station building is a Subway. It’s pretty standard fare for Subway, if you’re content with that and don’t mind lousy service. It would be unfair to paint every employee with the same brush, since not all were rude, but one girl in particular, blonde, average-​size, obviously the senior of the two working at the time, doesn’t understand the definition of courtesy. She scowled and asked the same questions over and over, ad infinitum. Perhaps it was just me? No, because everyone else behind me suffered the same fate, including a pregnant woman carting along three other kids. My friend ordered a six-​inch steak and cheese and when the employee made a footlong, she reminded her she’d asked for a six-​inch. The employee replied «well, I’m not going to take the loss on a half-​sub.» I will not be returning to this Subway, likely, ever again, even if I have a reason to be in Hebron, Kentucky. After all the nice people I ran into throughout the state, I’m glad to say she’s not representative of the norm.
