Sonic Drive-In

I’ve tried this place three times now, so I think I have given it a fair shot — and I have been disappointed EVERY time. I always go for the corn dog — my weakness — but once it was burned and once the batter was actually slightly raw on the inside… YUK! One good corn dog out of three visits is a terrible average.
If it were just the corn dog issue I might be able to give this place more stars, but on top of that the service was terribly slow all three times I visited (drive-​thru). It didn’t matter if it was early evening or late evening… a line of cars or only two cars… the service was just WAY TOO SLOW… I’m talking average 10 minutes here people!
Then, on my last visit, hubby and I each ordered a corn dog and a shake. One of the shakes was not what we ordered and it turned into a whole big ordeal when we asked them to fix the mistake. For some reason, rather than just giving us the shake we wanted, their offer was to give us a THIRD shake (the one that we wanted) at ½ price. HUH? The fact that this was even suggested has made us decide we will NEVER go back there again. Eat here at your own risk people…

Slushes have much more kick than I remember :) hubby got a diet limeade and I think they went a lil heavy on the lime but it was a good bit of heavy. I got a strawberry lemonade slush and wowie it was potent in the sour and sweet departments. Service was quick and efficient,

I became a Sonic burger and lemonberry slush lover when I lived in Nashville. For being a fast food place, I choose Sonic above every chain.
This seems to be a new location, so there is a learning curve going on. The first time I stopped, I ordered a #1 NO CHEESE, with mayo, ketchup, and lettuce. I received a plain hamburger. Second time I went, I placed the same order and received a cheeseburger that appeared to have extra cheese. I checked my receipt and it does say — cheese.
That being said, the food was hot and tasty. I like that they have a drive thru window as well as the park and order.
