Home Escapes by Spas East

I hate to post flowery reviews about companies but I just had a great experience and I wanted to share it with everyone.
I bought a hot tub from Spas East (now Home Escapes) some time ago, so when it was time to purchase patio furniture I naturally thought of them. At first I saw the prices and was a little astonished at how expensive things were, but after shopping around I just realized that quality furniture is expensive. That’s why, if I was making this investment, I wanted choose a trustworthy company, and the people I met at Home Escapes have been scrupulously honest giving me both the good and the bad about all of their products. Some companies, when I go shopping and bottom fish for price the salespeople don’t give you much attention, but my budget consciousness didn’t seem to matter to Sally, who spent literally 2 hours trying to find me the swivel glider rocker that my wife wanted at a price I could afford. Then she tirelessly sought out the rest of the furniture i needed, mixing some floor models in to save me money. The furniture just arrived as scheduled and it has already changed my life. Now if they could just do something about the mosquitoes.

We recently placed a very large order with Home Escapes. As we were furnishing a new porch and deck we needed quite a bit if furniture. The service and prices we received were second to none. I shopped several stores and online sites before deciding to buy from them. In the end the selection and prices at Home Escapes were the best. The outstanding customer support was an added bonus.

Several months ago, we purchased our very first tub from Home Escapes. In the past, we purchased outdoor furniture and were quite happy with the overall value. Being our first time owning a tub, my wife and I had lots of first time questions. Though I am certain we drove the salesman a little crazy, all of our questions were well answered and all concerns addressed. We actually looked at spas from four other vendors. When it comes down to it, we wanted to work with someone we could trust… that’s home escapes. I trusted them and I trusted them to stand behind their product.
After our spa was installed, there were a few small issues that needed to be addressed. In both cases, the service department took care of things. They were on time and took care of what they promised.
Would I go there again? You bet! Would I send a friend there… absolutely. Home Escapes has a great team.

While the technician who ran the diagnostic test was fine, my overall experience with Home Escapes was negative. The service department is incredibly slow with their responses. Their work hours were extremely limited and it was very difficult to get an appointment. For the prices that they charge, their lack of flexibility is unacceptable. I would not recommend them.

I have been meaning to write this review for a long time now.
Last March I was planning a large graduation party for my daughter. I needed my backyard to be ready by June. I knew I wanted a large hot tub and bunch of patio furniture but I didn’t know what would look right and work well. I had never owned a hot tub before and was feeling overwhelmed about how to choose the furniture.
Shortly after beginning my search, I came across Home Escapes. I saw from their website that they carried outdoor furniture from many manufacturers, as well as hot tubs. I called the store and was greeted by a very friendly and knowledgeable woman named Joan. After a couple of minutes she was able to point me to some furniture lines on their website that she thought would suit my needs. She also told me she’d be happy to spend some time with me at the store and even come out to my house for a «backyard consultation».
After our discussion, Joan handed the phone to her co-​worker, Dave, so he could help me with a hot tub decision. I got my husband to join me on the call so he could hear about the options as well. After helping us narrow down our choices, Dave told us that he’d be happy to come out to our home in Bethesda, along with Joan, to help with the hot tub and furniture decisions.
A couple days later, Joan and Dave came to our home. They brought several furniture catalogs and some hot tub literature. We spent well over two hours examining our back patio and screened-​in porch and discussing our options. At the end of our conversation, the feeling of being overwhelmed was totally lifted. Dave and Joan are expert design consultants and Dave obviously knows everything there is to know about hot tubs.
The next day, my husband and I went to Home Escapes in Reston to look at floor models. We also brought our bathing suits to soak in two of the hot tubs we were thinking about. What fun!
At this point the decision was easy. We placed our entire order that day and were promised that everything would arrive in time for our party.
Sure enough, everything went as smoothly as possible. The hot tub arrived in a few weeks and the furniture came shortly afterward. We had a wonderful party with lots of comfortable and happy guests. And we could not be happier with our backyard.
Dave and Joan, thank you for all of your help, as well as your patience with us during this process. You are both very knowledgeable, pleasant, honest and caring people. You helped us convert our backyard into a paradise and you held our hands throughout the entire process.

We recently purchased a Caldera hot tub from Home Escapes in Reston
and the whole experience went much smoother than we had ever anticipated.
We had been in the thinking stage for about two years because we were
worried about making the right decision. We shopped around a lot but were
put under too much pressure to buy something out of our range at the other
shops in town.
From the moment we walked into Home Escapes, the owner’s number one concern
was finding the right spa and features for us. We found the perfect hot tub
with great features at a decent price and we always feel welcome at Home
Escapes. The staff is incredible and always treats us like family.
The overall experience has been great.
