The foods good, but we always get the waiter with poor English, and he always gets our order wrong. My wife ordered the pork chops, she told him she didn’t want them breaded. She ask him twice if he understood, he assured her he did. She got breaded chops!

It’s nice that this place offers Gluten-Free options, and also serves several veal dishes! For those who eat and enjoy gluten, they serve home made Italian bread to the table, which is very nice. I suspect they make a good pizza, based on the quality of their bread. Looking forward to trying it. Their prices are higher than Olive Garden, but you get what you pay for. We will be back.

The food was so delectable I could not stop eating. And it far exceeded my expectations when my boss and I picked Italian at random for a business lunch. But the real treat was our server Rosa! She gave the place a genuine authenticity and was beyond attentive! Truly one of the sweetest and most joyful people I’ve met in a long time!

This is my favorite Italian restaurant in Hickory. I love the Chicken da Vinci, my husband always tries something different, and is never disappointed. Took my daughter for her first time today and she loved it too. The food is always fresh, seasoned well and isn’t mass produced with tons of sodium and preservatives. The bread is fabulous and comes out steaming hot. I will chose here vs a chain restaurant any day!

You want to love this place as it is the only non-national chain in town but you just can’t. Service table side or bar side is the same. Just average. The food is the same. No fresh arugula which puts a major dent in many of the dishes we like. Sauces are often too heavy, too salty or lack freshness. Wine is very average.

Pasta carbonara with penne pasta is the most awesome dish on planet EARTH. No reason to say more.

This used to be my absolute favorite Italian Restaurant. Unfortunately, a combination of increased food prices, inconsistent quality and several incidents of poor service causes me to leave a sub-par review. The restaurant has not updated their offerings in many years. The only change to the menu I can find is you now must pay separately for a house salad or soup. If you do visit I would recommend the chicken Da Vinci. Again, it pains me to offer a negative review. This was my wife and my favorite place for many years.

How do you ruin cheesecake? Da Vinci’s managed to throw some Hershey’s syrup on a slice of cheesecake which did not hide the fact that it had the worst crust imaginable. I couldn’t tell if it was never cooked or just got soggy. The gnocchi was less than mediocre and the chicken in the Da Vinci’s chicken appeared to be boiled or poached. Horrible!!! As a new mom I have very little spare time on my hands but this food was so terrible I made sure to find time to write my first Unilocal review.

Had a coupon for Da Vinci’s and decided to try it out. The calamari was excellent and the service was good but the pizza was no better than any other cheaper restaurant. There were no beer specials, the cheapest being domestics for 3.50 and the best part of the evening was the entertainment provided in the bar area. It was a Thursday night and a singer named, Ulysses Long, took requests for motown songs and was great! I would go more often for the entertainment if there was a beer special and closer to home!

Went to Da Vinci’s earlier this week for lunch. The service COULDNOT have been slower. The restaurant wasn’t even half full and it took forever to get served and even after all the plates had been removed we had to ask for the check. The food was solidly mediocre. My Cesar salad was lettuce with a quarter cup of parmesan cheese and creamy Cesar dressing on the side and croutons. My chicken parmesan sub was low on flavor. I would go to a chain restaurant before Da Vinci’s.

My wife and I had our wedding rehearsal dinner here recently. We’d never been here before but were absolutely satisfied and impressed with the service and the food. That sentiment was shared by everyone that attended, especially in regard to their special that day(lobster tail). They even had us in a private room so our party could have a space for ourselves and our own server. There are plenty of wines to choose from and a stacked bar in the main lobby of the restaurant. Prices were very fair and actually alot less than what I expected for the quality of the food we had. Best italian food I’ve had in Hickory so far.

This place is awesome. We rolled into Conover really hungry and read a review on another website that ended up sending us to Davinci’s. I was really happy with it. Food was good, wine was good, service was polite and prompt. We actually went back a second night just to get carry out pizza, because that also looked awesome– and it was!

I’ve never had a bad time here. It’s one of my favorite restaurants. Real honest Italian food. The Mozzarella Carozza is our fav appetizer. I stick to the Chicken Francese but hubby eats something different every time and has yet to be dissapointed.

We have been there twice, and both times we were sorely disappointed. I had the lasagna one time and the carbonara one time, and both times the food tasted bland and soggy. What meat my wife had tasted like it had been frozen and warmed up in a microwave. The service was terrible, and the second time they put me touching another persons table in the middle of an aisle, so that people could bump into us. That’s not to say they weren’t busy at the time, but I would have gladly waited longer not to be stuck out in the middle of an aisle. Not to mention the first time we were forgotten, and the second time she was so busy that we were generally ignored. Normally, I always take the local place over the chain, but in this case, Carraba’s is where my money goes for italian.
