Jack In the Box

Great location, hardly ever crowded. The food is good and the service is friendly. We always go through the drive-​thru and I think they’ve only gotten my order wrong maybe once. We eat here quite often, usually about once a week.

This location is my first experience with Jack In The Box and I was very underwhelmed with this chain. Any other fast food place I go to has some kind of hook: McDonald’s has the best fries, Wendy’s has good bacon cheeseburgers and frosties, Backyard has great burgers, but I don’t see anything great about Jack In The Box. All of their food seems to be exactly average. I thought their chicken nuggets were awful, and their burgers and fries were awful. They seem to be trying to do everything: breakfast sandwiches, burgers, chicken, tacos, egg rolls, pizza rolls, turkey sandwiches… I think they should find one thing and work on making that great before they spread themselves so thin.
As for this location specifically, I went here a few times because I enjoyed a place that could make me some cheese sticks quick (they are my weakness) and I don’t mind an average burger to go with some cheese sticks. This location told me they were discontinued here a few months ago and so I stopped going. The service isn’t particularly bad, but I wouldn’t say it’s good either. I feel as though the servers are pretty apathetic. And the sad thing is that they only have to go across the street to the Taco Bell to see the best fast food service in Hickory.

Convenient location.
Usually fast service, because there’s never anyone in the drive-​thru line.
Average food.
Reasonable prices.
