I didn’t like it the only good food is the steak teriyaki. I have the chicken teriyaki but its was too burn. Didn’t like The fact that you have sit with unknown Stanger.

If I could i would give this place 0 stars, but I can’t so if 1 star is the worst then thats fine by me. My mom and dad wanted a treat for me and my brother so they took us to Kobe we where so excited– I ordered won ton soup, the service was horrible and when I finally got my «Won-ton soup» I took a sip and it tasted like dish water! So I then ordered some spicy tuna rolls– 30 minutes later I get it and take a bite, the fish tasted bad and expired. I ordered a few other things to share with my brother when a got it i took one bite and I felt like I should trow up! I gave up with ordering food. Now the service– that’s another story! The service wrote down what we ordered carelessly and did not really talk at all. When he’d ask for what we want he mumbled and we could barely hear him! He did not look at us when we were making out orders and he did not ask if we wanted anything else when we were done– he only came a few times and when I needed to order food I needed to yell over to get service! I would defiantly NOT recommend this restraint if you wish to have a good meal– we will NEVER be going back they don’t need out moeny.

This is by far my favorite restaurant in town but recently the wait service and food service has been horrible. The rice and other food keeps getting cooked less and less and portion sizes keep going down. On my last visit the rice was nothing more than oil rice and the onions and steak were served raw. I guess I need to tell them how to cook in the future…

we came by this one on our road trip. We went to the dine in section, the yellow-haired female waitress in late 30s or mid 40s was making our experience horrible. When the soup came up, she didn’t even include the spoon, when we finally got her attention, we asked for the spoon, she responded: people just drink it, that’s the way it is. what? seriously? if you forgot about it, just say it, don’t make up excuse. I have been to a lot of Japanese restaurant, all of them include spoon. and the soup is super hot! really disappointed, will never come to this place again. and the food is not even good, very salty, doesn’t have specialty sauce, just cooked with soy sauce. there are plenty of good Japanese restaurants out there, avoid this one unless you got no choice.

We have eaten here many times thru the years and enjoyed it. Japanese is my grandsons favorite food and this is where he wanted to go for his birthday. We actually celebrate most birthdays at Kobes. When I called for a reservation, I told them we wanted the«birthday special.» Our party consisted of 8 people. When we checked in, I again told them we had the birthday special and a third time when our server took our drink order. It was bad from the moment we were seated, no dinner plate or flatware for one of the people. It wasn’t until the soup came that the server brought it. after being asked twice. We also asked for spoons for the soup but only 3 were brought out. The chef did an ok job as far as the show and fire. The food was horrible. My grandson and husband ordered sushi when they placed drink order, yet it didn’t come until well after the chef had gone and we were eating. 3 of us thought the rice was ok, 5 didn’t eat it at all. 3 had chicken, took a couple bites and said it didn’t taste good. 2 had scallops and did like those. The rest had shrimp or steak and shrimp combo. My daughter asked for hot sauce 3 x before it was ever brought. In the end she only ate a few bites and said it was gross and didn’t eat more. 5 of the 8 did not like the food and did not eat it despite all of us loving Japanese food. Waitress was very slow to fill drinks, you are pretty much forgotten. They brought the check and never did do the birthday package. Despite plate fulls of food, we declined to go boxes. Because we had a party of 8, our tip was already figured in the total so we had no choice but to tip for lousy service… we would have tipped, but it would have been less due to the service. The final straw was when the young boys went to potty and pee was everywhere. All complaints after we paid our bill fell on deaf ears. The manager did not care. We will NOT be going back. We came home and ate! What a waste of 200.00+ dollars.

While«the show» isn’t as entertaining as in years past, the food is still very good.

Was unsure to go but glad we did! ! Very very good. The food was very very good the service was excellent. They have hibachi where they cook in front of you. And they have a sushi bar where you can sit down and get sushi or you can get a meal! If I was in the area again I would definitely go! Was very impressed!

This place has gone down hill in my book. The food portions have gotten smaller and the service has lowered. We spend over $ 300 for my daughter’s birthday dinner for our table and they refused to sing happy birthday to her. We had to pay for it! She was so upset. Not good customer service! We weren’t asking for anything, but for them to sing to her. I’ll find somewhere else!

I tried the steakhouse and really enjoyed it, the food was good. We were there for my grand daughter’s birthday. She loved the show. I also enjoy the sushi part of this restaurant. Fresh and mostly well crafted. The restaurant is clean and the staff is very friendly.

A great experience for the whole family. Ate there many times and always leave with my belly full and a smile on my face! My girlfriends favorite place to eat hands down! Kids will love the tricks that the cooks do!

Yum! Def. get the filet over standard steak. Shrimp and chicken are delish as well(that’s the extent of my expertise.) Get there early on weekend hours, gets crowded fast.

We ate at the sushi bar and were pleasantly surprised how good the sushi was and intend to return during our 5 day stay. The sushi was some of the best we’ve eaten anywhere we have traveled to. Since starting this review have eaten here two more times and each time it was quite good. We had the Teppanyaki special one evening and the sushi special another. May go back once more before leaving.

Really good teppanaki Japanese steak house. Fresh sushi. Consistently delicious entrees, vegetables, rice, and sweet carrots. I was introduced to shrimp sauce here. I agree with the other reviewers, that the chef’s are great showmen. PS: I always upgrade my steak to a filet. Lunch Menu: Dinner Menu: Sushi Menu: Wine/Beer List: Hours:

I grew up going to this place so it’s near and dear to my heart. I agree that this place is wayyy better than Benihana. Food is great, portions are large, wait is never too long, and the service is great. The sushi is also fresh and reasonably priced. I will just say anytime I go to a hibachi restaurant outside of NC, I always compare it to this place, and it never lives up to Kobes… this place is a MUST try!

Still my favorite teppanyaki style restaurant anywhere. Better than Benihana, and better than any of the local spots I now visit in Florida. I think Kobe was my first experience at this type of restaurant and I was spoiled from the start. It just can’t be beat for quality, consistency, and atmosphere. I’ve never had a bad steak here, and honestly I normally order chicken at other teppanyaki restaurants because the steaks don’t measure up. Salads here are always fresh, rice is always of high quality, entertainment is decent at the very worst. Some places have bland, talentless, and/or strange chefs that can really throw off the experience. If you’ve never been to Kobe, go now. You won’t be disappointed. If Kobe is all you know, don’t take it for granted. I look forward to coming back every time I visit.
