Hooters

Good environment, good food, service was wonderful and the lovely Taylor that work in the bar was really nice and generous, my go to place, even tho I drive 20 – 30 mins to get there.

By far THE worst dining experience EVER. Our waitress needed to put her clothes back on and go back to elementary school. There was not a shred of intelligence in her. With a packed house she was constantly scrambling at our table because she forgot our drinks multiple times, our silverware multiple times not to mention our food? She certainly should not have been hired for the service industry. Mind blown.

As I’m sitting here there are tables not bussed, our table was not given any utensils when our food finally came, and I’m nibbling off of other people’s plates because my food never came. Poor service, poor food quality, and this will not be a place I return to. Our waitress Tori was focused more on her boyfriend at the next table than the other tables in her section.

My review is an overall as I was not an active Unilocaler during the last year.
This place… has SO much potential. The building is huge and I do mean HUGE. Very clean, very spacious, and offers three ‘levels’ you can sit at. High seats, low seats, bar seating and booths!
But, that being said, this place is never near full capacity. My initial introduction to High Point Hooters was on a road trip across three states and on my return to NC I stopped in due to a YouTube video I had seen of a brawl that happened there. Besides the small Hooters placard on the Interstate Exit Sign I would not have otherwise known that High Point Hooters existed if it wasn’t for that video. It wasn’t until months later that I saw a billboard off of I-​40 between Burlington and Greensboro that mentioned HIgh Point Hooters. I don’t know if I blame High Point, Thomasville, or location away from the highway (s) but this Hooters is very slow. Most of the patrons inside when I visit are regulars and some even know me from my sporadic trips up. I saw a huge crowd come in from a Bike Rally once and every seat was taken with standing room only at the bar. That has been the ONLY time I have ever seen bartender (s), servers and cook staff in the weeds.
The Hooties are almost always bored. So many get cut due to the limited patronage that day that there is no guarantee that the girl you start with will be actually bringing you your check. I have at least 10 times tipped a girl who was leaving only to turn around and have another girl I felt the need to tip at the end of my meal. There are some really great Hooters Girls here and they deserve to be busier than they are. Some of the girls moonlight at the Greensboro location and even one in particular drives all of the way out to Raleigh to try and make money from the Airport location. My first introduction to my interpretation of a Southern Belle in the state of NC happened at this location. She is still a good friend of mine and I refer to her as my perma-​friend. Great ladies here. Brooke, Felicia, Laurie, Lauren, Paige, Jordan, Burgandy, Taylor, Chelsea, Kerianne, Erin «The Breakfast of Champions», and Lindsey just to name some of the memorable girls who have worn the uniform here. Most have moved on to other things but some are still there.
This place deserves so much more. It deserves the location and crowd you see most often at Winston-​Salem or at Raleigh Airport. I have been known to make the three-​hour roundtrip just to eat a late lunch and then dinner here.

I have to say, this was one of the nicer Hooters I’ve been to in quite a while. Come to think of it, it’s been quite a while. The place was spacious and clean with plenty of TV monitors. The wings were good, but not the best I’ve had. The medium sauce didn’t really have any kick to it; and the BBQ was almost too sweet. The wings seemed a tad small too. The onion rings were very good. Overall, still a fun little side trip for my two young, teenage guests.

It was terrible went on a Sunday night. It wasn’t packed and it took 10 mins. There and they hadn’t even gotten our drink orders so we left.

This Hooters location is located at the end of a shopping center and I believe in a former Rockola Café building.
I arrived for lunch a few minutes after they opened, was promptly greeted and seated. Ordered my Hooters favorite — the buffalo chicken sandwich. Food was served in a timely manner. Sandwich was enjoyable, Hooters Girl was good in checking on me and making sure my beverage was never empty.
It is a three star rating though because that was all that my Hooters Girl did. When she was not making sure my beverage glass was full, she was standing with other employees at the bar just talking. Part of the Hooters experience is supposed to be about the Hooters Girls interacting with the customer, and this Hooters Girl failed in this part of her job.

Good drink specials but service was over-​the top-​in your face cutesy. Our waitress literally came SKIPPING to table every 60 seconds or so to see if we were OK. Nice thought, but its hard to enjoy yourself when you are being interrupted so often. Also we ordered chicken strips to share and got six measly UN BREADED tenders with no fries for $ 8. Not worth it.

This was my first Hooters experience, and I was left with a horrible taste in my mouth. The waitresses were pleasant enough but they took forever and it wasn’t even that crowded. The food itself was bland and I was left thinking I could have saved money and made that food myself for free and be satisfied. Obviously they need scantly clad girls to sell food because it certainly can’t stand on itself.

I will start by giving the reason I rate this Hooters with two stars instead of just one: I like the food, and they have NFL Sunday ticket, a necessity for a misplaced fan.
The service leaves much to be desired, orders come out slow even when the place is empty, they rarely have beer specials and I always leave thinking I have paid too much for the experience I had.
Avoid going unless you cannot help it, I would suggest Buffalo Wild Wings or East Coast Wings which are also in the area.
