Mi Cocina definitely has the friendliest staff. Great food at reasonable prices. Our party of 20+ guests were happy with the service and food. I recommend this restaurant for any occasion!

Came here with family for dinner on Taco Tuesday. I had the Camarones A La Diabla, which was really great! Probably one of my more favorite renditions of the dish. They have really good salsa as well, but still serve it in little syrup bottle like you would see at IHOP. This would be a non-​issue to me, but the salsa is too chunky for the mouth of the bottle so we had to unscrew the top and pour that way. Made me wonder how many other customers’ had done the same, and if that could be a sanitation issue. My mother in law asked for water with lemon, but she never received her lemon even after asking a second time. We also ordered guacamole, and that was never served either but it wasn’t on the bill so we did not worry about it. Their margaritas tasted like the mix you can buy from the store. Too processed and syrup-​y. Not sure that I would care to return on my own.

Not bad, but the carne asada steak was a tad tough and grisly. The beans and rice were good and the service was kind. I’m only in town for two days, so will go somewhere else for food…

I’m not sure what the hype is about this place. I’ve been here twice for lunch and it mediocre at best. Today I ordered a chicken burrito dry that was ridiculously small. Seriously about 2 inches in diameter. I opened it up and there was about 10 very small pieces of over cooked chicken inside. Plain, flavorless and covered up with fillers. Like eating a dirty sock! My previous visit for lunch was similar. Then I got the bill for $ 18 with a coke? Really? I’m bummed because it’s a beautiful building. Okay, I’ll give it one more try.

I was not a fan. Honestly with all the Mexican restaurants around, you would think this place would step it up. We ordered our food and in the matter of minutes our food was there, which don’t get me wrong that’s perfect for a restaurant, but to be that fast means that if the food was sloppily done and it wasn’t hot like food should be. I was dissapointed and will not recommend this place

The food was ok, but the service was excellent. I ordered the garlic shrimp and it didn’t taste of garlic at all. The butter spilled out of the ramakin as they brought it out and everything became greasy. The rice was good, but i didn’t care for the bland red sauce they put on it. The music they provide on Wednesday evenings is excellent; a good variety of genre. I would go back for the atmosphere, but not necessarily for the food.

I was able to eat at Mi Cocina for the first time today. I went with a great friend for lunch. The food looked great, tasted great, and was served quickly. Our server refilled out beverages promptly and was able attend to our needs without hovering or being intrusive.
Great food with great company… it was a great lunch!

On 8÷3÷13 I wrote a nasty review. However, I recently went back 12÷24÷15 to Mi Cocina to see if they made any changes, or if they got a New Chef. I am very pleased that they have exceeded themselves 100%. Now I can honestly say their food is great, customer service is great, and am very glad for them. Tasty and Yummy. Good job in resolving that issue.

Im from Louisiana. This has been one of the better Mexican restaurants I’ve been to although i have had better chips and salsa. Could offer beans w/​free chips and salsa as appetizer like other places eaten. Iordered the fish and Garlic butter sauce w/​mushrooms and onions. The dish was very hot and fresh sauted and charred very nicely. The rice and beans are very good also and taste as if its prepared throughout the day. The flour tortillas were warm and soft. Service was great and accommodating of our large party. The price isnt bad and the venue is fresh and clean in a great location. My other party members had no complaints and the food looked awesome. Ill be trying the burritos and maybe some fish tacos next.

Good service and comforting food, especially after if you are getting back to civilization after spending some time in the woods. Solid quality coffee, though it was $ 5.50 for two of them.

Authentic, Family owned and operated. This is a great little spot with great food, patio seating, and full bar. Very consistent on the food taste and service. Dogs welcome on the patio. Tecate Thursday’s are the best.

The fajitas burrito was recommended to me by a friend, ordered it with chile verde sauce and it was excellent. Restaurant is large, no wait and the staff is attentive and very friendly. Mondo the manager came by and his hospitality was great.
Quality and quantity, prices were in the lower end for what you get.

No offense to the locals, but in the middle of basically nowhere is this gem of a place. New building and nicely designed is great, but authentic Mexican and wonderful service puts this over the top. Just off the 210, take the 330 for one exit to Highland, and smell your way in. In other words, stop to/​for Big Bear.
At just after 11am and no breakfast, I was in the mood for something hearty yet breakfast-​ie. The Machaca Burrito Plate had my name all over it. For $ 12.95, it was hunky (too much to eat), and had delicious beans and rice. I loved it.
The Chips & Salsa was perfect, as well. Thin, not greasy, and warm chips served with super fresh and housemade salsa.
With great service that they exhibit, this is a total winner.
