Stopped in for a quick bite on the way up the coast. Had the teriyaki chicken plate, for me it was just ok. Mac salad was good though, but I’d probably try someplace else next time.

Excellent food and service. We arrived 10 minutes before opening(remember to go to back of business since other good businesses shate the space) and she graciously took our order. Our plate lunches were fresh and hot. She did it all by herself. Please go there. It is worth it.

Really wanted to try the sushi kitchen next to this place.(Dragons Kitchen has rave reviews.) it was closed for the month, so we went to Remy’s which is right next to it. What a find! I had their house special burger,(I forget what it’s called), which has portobello mushroom, avocado, cheddar, and bacon.(See picture). All ingredients were prepared just right. It was a big messy comfortable warm tummy full of delicious! Had to break out a knife and fork to finish the second half, but it was worth it.

The restaurant is not bad but I asked an employee a simple question about a restroom & got attitude and disrespect as a response! I am very upset about this and she still had the nerve to roll her eyes at me! I hope the manager or whoever is running this place takes action for this. Managers or supervisors who wants to know who this employee is, I went here today 10÷31÷15 @ 11am ish and there were 3 employees working. A blonde hair girl with glasses & a brown skinned women & another blonde girl with no glasses. The blonde girl with NO glasses is the employee who treated me with disrespect. My 2 sister in laws wanted to order and eat here(which they did) but were very concerned about having spit in their food! I hope the next time I come here, this girl will have the discipline and customer service training that she truly needs or better yet, not be employed here no further! I am concerned a great loss of customers will be taken here at such a convenient spot for the farmers market!

First timer and won’t be my last. This is the start of a great relationship. I ordered the french dip sandwich(one of my faves, so looking to be critical). And this sandwich, albeit it being a bit non-traditional(served on a ciabatta type bun vs baguette) was the softest, most tender french dip ever. I usually have to grapple and tustle with the bread in traditional servings this one is soft and melts in your mouth. This sandwich gets a 5 for taste and texture. The 4 stars is the take out box is styrafoam… I like to support establishments that have eco-friendly boxing or options to bring your own container for take away. I will ask next time I order from Remy’s. I look forward to the other sandwiches. Also the french fries are handcut it looks like and are more soft and chewy than crispy. I prefer the later french fry for the crunch but this fry makes me wanna come back for more with it’s softness.

So good — the locals are so lucky! At home in the SFBA, their food would be twice the cost. I had the ahi club, incredibly fresh tuna seared to perfect medium rare with local bacon on top, all in a perfect bun. My companions both went with the Kaliko Burger, and raved about it for days. Hawaiian beef is not given enough press coverage in general, methinks…

Love the Kaliko Burger… delicious! Its a cute little hole in the wall kinda place but when you find it its pretty good. The prices aren’t too bad its fairly reasonable. I love this place.

Cute market place location! I had the boneless Korean chicken, very flavorful and fulfilling. Pricing and portions perfectly made! Plus homemade green tea ice cream near the shop.

First timer. Portobello mushroom burger pretty good. I was full from half the burger, but tasted so good I forced myself to eat the whole thing. Ordered the Lilikoi cheesecake. For me, I didn’t care for the shortbread crust and cheesecake was in the dryer and heavy side. Prices are very reasonable considering the portion. I’ll be returning to try different items on menu.

First timer. I ordered the Korean chicken plate and the French dip sandwich with fries and a slice of flan. Both had good flavor and were acceptable for the price. The menu looks interesting and its a place I would go back to.

Previously Hapa Mama’s. Located in the Dragon Kitchen store front… Food court setting with other food vendors. It’s very near the Hilo Farmers Market. My family was looking for a quick lunch and to fill some time before checking in for our Kapoho Zipline adventure around the corner. The Korean chicken was the best! My 3 boys loved the chicken so much that we continued the search for similar Korean Chicken in other plate lunch restaurants on the Kona side. Closest would be the chicken garlic furikake at Broke da Mouth. The Filipino owned plate lunch stand deserves two thumbs up.
