If you walk inside to eat, make sure you leave the day before you actually want to eat. That’s how SLOW the service is. It makes the entire experience unbearable. I’ve left without being served waiting for so long. But we wanted their food so we drove to the Acworth store. We were probably served there faster than if we had sat another half hour waiting on our shakes. And it’s not just catching them on a bad day. We were in there once before for breakfast and they took so long bringing our pancakes that breakfast ended. I will never go here again since they can’t take care of their customers. They just ignore them and let them sit forever waiting for food.

service was one of the worst i’d ever ever experienced. slow, mixed up orders, rude employees. this place is managed by the worst manager ever. do not order a split shake it will not be split between 2 flavors it will look all swirled in n it was made my the«manager» i was told, & the milkshake ice cream was not made mixed well it was so much powder in our shakes, so much for a cool ig pic right

Once again horrible experience. Was charged twice for two hamburgers fries and a drink to total $ 25.34 without a tip for bad service. Would not recommend this place at all! Their management just stand and watch instead of helping out. Last experience we waited 25 minutes or longer just to get drinks and got up to leave and the waitress brought our food over as we were leaving and still no drinks and we asked multiple times. Where in the world does this place get their management and training teams?! The management and staff needs to be replaced or this place needs to be shut down! If you call this number they never answer or just hangs up. Calling corporate doesn’t seem to do anything to fix or prevent the issues that happen at this location. I will only be stepping in this location to make sure I get a refund on the double charge and that’s it. I have never experienced such bad service from place in my life. It’s worth driving to the Cumberland location or going to the Rome or Acworth location. Only giving 1 star because it won’t let you post with no stars

Worst place to eat!!! Waited over 45 mins before getting our food and it wasn’t even busy! It took even longer before our milkshake to come even though we ordered it with our meal. Also, the waitresses acted like they didn’t care nor the manager. It’s like this EVERYTIME we come here!

Was just there this evening and had problems with my order. Ordered 2 steakburgers with cheese, 1 of them with bacon and both with everything except ketchup and mayo. Explained 2x that I didn’t want ketchup or mayo, and confirmed with the cashier twice. Got my order… both burgers have ketchup, and neither has any bacon. Normally when you eat fast food you expect this… but not at Steak and Shake, which I consider to be a step above McDs/Wendys/etc, which is why I go there. Anyways, just the smell of ketchup makes me nauseated, so the burgers were inedible, so I ended up paying $ 7 to just have my fries for dinner, thanks Steak and Shake! I called the store and spoke to Carol, 1 of the managers. She promised me it would be taken care of, that she’d send me out coupons for 2 steakburgers and 2 shakes… yet she didn’t get my address or e-mail address. Seems like she gave me the run-around, so I filed a complaint on their hotline and am taking it to corporate. Oh yeah BTW… after talking to her, they(store 652) won’t answer their phone. I think after this I won’t be going back to ANY steak and shake. I used to love their food, but I’ve found things like a pube in my food before. Nasty ketchup on my burger is the last straw.

The food is really good, the only reason i kept coming back. Every time I came here the service was very slow. The food always sits in the window for at least enough time to go somewhere else, eat, and come back. The most recent time I visited the restaurant I waited for over an hour. It wasn’t even busy the servers just mosey around like they aren’t on the job.

Would do ZERO stars if it was possible… We waited 66 minutes for our food which was terrible! Service was a joke. is there even a manager. What is going on. ??? Every customer had a look of disgust and bewilderment because the service was so terrible! My husband is telling me while I’m typing this«Never Again»!!!

Like most reviews, good food and bad service. Got a seat right away then came the waiting game. 50m later we ate and asked for the menu to order shakes since the name of the place is Steak and Shake. Ordered the shakes and waited and waited, I wanted to leave but the family was determined to get a shake. After tracking down the waiter, he said the shake guy was new and behind. I didn’ t think making a shake was like doing long division but apparently he made it that way. Almost 2 hours for 3 burgers and 3 shakes at a fast food place. Wow! Adiós steak and shake, too much competition to waste it here.

The service is always horrible. The people that work there are always so slow. I have sat there for 30 mins one time and never got any service. The food is mediocre. The one positive thing I can say is that the shakes are really tasty.

Been meaning to write this for a while. I have been in there a few occasions and just walked out because I could CLEARLY see the cook with no gloves on, manning the grill. This was over a year ago so it might have changed. I don’t want to go back to see. Before I saw this and actually ate here, I always got cold burgers. The reasoning is the«burger assembly line» that is made. I won’t be back to this location for a while. Try the Barrett parkway location.

The 2 stars are because the food was good and hot. This Steak N Shake is notorious for bad/slow service so I set my timer. It took 16 minutes to get a table, 7.34 to see a server, 8.43 to get our drinks, 18 minutes after our drinks came our food came(along with refills and our check). 19 minutes after that we ordered shakes. 22 minutes later we got our shakes. Our server stopped waiting tables to make our 6 shakes. I asked the girl at the register if that was normal and she said she guessed the shake guy left. We watched a table of 7 leave after never being acknowledged by anyone. We heard the manager argue with a man about a $ 5 off coupon he received the time before for bad service. He explained that the previous manager told him they would honor it. She told him it was expired and she wouldn’t. He asked for her managers number and was told it wouldn’t matter who he called they wouldn’t do anything for him. After a few more words and a really poor attitude she finally honored it. None of the servers had any get up and go. Not sure how they make any money at all! Over all our server was friendly, food was good but the time was awful and they really need new management. We actually called customer service from the register in front of the manager and still didn’t get her acknowledgment. We will not be back until new management is put in place.
