Very good! This Grimaldi’s has a very friendly Family vibe. It was a nice day so we outside as well, there was a woman who was pacing around, I assume she was the owner, but she checked on us and asked us if the food was alright. Nice gesture. The service was quick and our waiter was very friendly and attentive. We ordered a caesar salad, which as good as a salad is gonna get. Tasted fresh. Also got a garlic bread, which was more of a garlic pizza, pretty good as well. The pizza itself was very good. You can tell they use fresh ingredients, I also love the thinness of the crust and the crunch factor, it was very overall. My only small complaint would be that their tomato sauce tasted just a tad bland, but Nothing too bothersome. Overall, I would come back!

I’d rather order to go. My husband, daughter, and I came here for a very special occasion. We barely saw the waiter, bad service. This was almost 2 yrs ago but my husband and I refuse to sit and enjoy a meal, «pick up, please»

Good pizza, but there are better options in Hoboken for sure. Friendly, quick and attentive service. Highly recommend the mozzarella appetizer.

It was an off night. The pizza is usually top notch here, but this time it was slightly over cooked. Service wasn’t good. The waiter seemed busy by the kitchen instead of keeping up with the tables. Finally waved him over for drinks. Maybe management was away at the shore or something.

Yeah baby. Didn’t have time to hit up the Brooklyn location while in NY, but glad I visited this one. Pizzas are thin, fresh and just beautiful. I had just ricotta and while it was a little limp but them piling on the cheese, it was just great. My sister in law was avoiding gluten and she loved the gluten free ‘za, even though such a thing is sacrilege to me. Food takes a little while to get out but you can check out the dudes flipping the pizza dough in the back while you wait. It’s family friendly and comfortable. Even on a weekend night, it wasn’t a crazy long wait to get a table. Can’t say that about the other location. Even though I love my deep dish, I am still thinking about this delciousness. I will definitely be back next time I’m in NY.

The pizza was just okay… chicken wings were over cooked, spaghetti was average as well. not worthy to its price at all. kinda disappointed. will not return for a second time.

Best pizza ever! Quality is always consistent. I have a gluten allergy and this place makes the best quality I have ever seen! I usually get a gluten free personal white pie with chicken and basil and is my favorite. When you call for pick up, they are usually very quick. Both locations in Hoboken are nice but the one in Washington has a nice bar and enough space for groups. Little pricey but I consider this a gourmet pizza joint and they definitely deliver on the best quality

Tuesday night and decided to order out. They said an hour. Waited an 1:30 for pizza and when we called up they gave an excuse and said 15 more minutes. Their pizza is not worth. P. S. As I’m writing this I’m still waiting for pizza.

Crazy expensive. Almost $ 30 for one pie. One. Unfortunate, since it’s really good. Ah well!

Although a little pricey($ 18 for plain pie), Grimaldi’s is one of the original classic Brooklyn style pizzerias in New Jersey. The lines are much longer than its predecessors in NY. I believe the price is well worth it as the coal fired pies are excellent. The dough is the best part as it is crispy and chewy. It can handle plenty of toppings even though the simple plain pie is great on its own. The fresh mozzarella cheese slices are great and I like it better than the oily shredded cheese. Overall great representative of Brooklyn Pizza in NJ.

Large plain pizza is love at first bite that has just the right amount of cheese and sauce. It has a soft, chewy texture in the middle and a slight crunch toward the crust. The pie costs around $ 18 incl tax for a large, but well worth it. Even though I took it out, since parking is challenging, the restaurant itself looked bright and clean. Great place to get Brooklyn-style pizza without having to go to Brooklyn.

I understand. I FINALLY get why people fawn over this place. Can’t vouch for the other locations but I’m satisfied with the Hoboken Grimaldi’s. The classic pizza is pretty solid — I usually get it with extra cheese and I think it’s the way to go about pizzas. Like, who says no to more mozzarella? If only I could write a thesis about that… wait, I had a point to make. The food we had was good. Like, GOOD good. Not okay, or superb. But GOOD. That feeling of satisfaction you get after a meal? The one where your stomach is content and happy that it’s in your body and not in someone else’s? That’s what we felt after eating here. The classic margherita is what you need to get because what else are you supposed to eat at a well known pizzeria? It’s not like you order scotch at a Mexican bar(when in Rome, and all). And the wings. I was apprehensive because I lived in Buffalo and I know what good wings are. And I was surprised that the wings here didn’t disappoint. The chickens weren’t force fed hormones to make them obese(I hope, judging by how NOT large the wings were). The service was good. It was a kind of busy night — we got there just before the crowd and the servers were busy but the young lady serving us was attentive and it was like she knew just when we needed her because all we had to do was look up and she’d be there. If I had to rank the famous pizzerias of New York(or, Jersey in this case I guess), Grimaldi’s would come in at 1.

I was here the other night with my family and was really unimpressed. We were seated in the back room, which was nice and quiet, but we were often forgotten about and rarely did our waitress come back to check if we needed refills or anything. Also, it was like $ 20 for a plain cheese pizza, then it was $ 3 – 5 for each additional topping. So unless you want a plain cheese pizza this place is definitely not worth it. We did add a calzone to our order which was good, better than the pizza. I would not stop back again.

I was itching to try this pizza since setting foot in Hoboken. Many say soggy/flimsy, many say best in NY area. After trying it, I can see where they are both coming from. It is on the doughier side. It is flimsy. If I were to order again, I’d ask for it ‘well done’. But it is certainly delicious. The mozz is good, real, fresh. On the plain, there is enough tomato for me. It’s basic. Simple and delicious. I’ve had better, but it’s still damn good.

We were here very early on a Friday evening. Service was very friendly but not over the top. It is a local pizza joint and I am good with that. The pizza was good, not a whole lot of cheese and sauce but the right amount. If you like more sauce, you should let them know. The crust is really good. If you are ordering the garlic bread as an appetizer, beware that it is the size of a pizza. The biggest garlic bread I have ever seen! We also ordered the vanilla/darkchocolate with raspberry filling inside. That was a delight not to miss, if you are an ice cream lover. Go for it!

My fiancé and I went to Grimaldi’s tonight for some take out. We ordered a personal pie and a spaghetti and meatballs to share. When we got home, we opened up the pasta and were both stunned at what we saw. It was a pile of spaghetti with a ladle of sauce splashed over it. In real life, pasta is supposed to be cooked(or for those of you who are culinarily limited, mixed) with the sauce. If I wanted pasta with a spoon of sauce on it, I would have had a newborn make it for me. Also, the pizza was decent, but I found it to be floppy and rubbery as is most pizza in this town. Overall, I would say that the quality was butt. Dem’ meatballs were good though.

Went there today for the first time — ordered a pie and garlic bread. The server misunderstood garlic bread for a garlic pizza. Brought out two pies for two people(that should have been a clue to confirm the order) he said he was sorry and he’d box up the extra(unordered) pie for us to go home with for the price of the garlic bread -($ 9BTW). We said he didn’t need to do it, but he insisted and apologized again. We got the check and he charged us for the garlic pizza($ 18)…$ 49 for a pizza, a pitcher of soda, and a pie we didn’t order. NOTIMPRESSEDATALL. I understand high prices for quality products, but being charged for things we didn’t order and then didn’t want to take with us is not something I need to put up with since there are over 20 places in this one square mile town.
