IRISHTIMES has Great pub food and on a good night, ignoring the inherent d-bags… an overall fun time… Great to watch my Giants or your sports team as well… From the sliders to the Ceaser Chicken wrap and back to buffalo wing 2-fers and broccoli bites, chicken cordon blue bites, used to be a go to fave but it’s sorta faded over the years. The patio is cool out back and has been updated since back in the day; the DJ gets you dancin and having a good time and that’s sorta the point– Different crowds on different days, just be careful who fills your dance card I guess, dbags abound here and if their girl wants to dance, and it ain’t with them, they’ll start trouble to show their tiny… self esteems.

Great bar, great staff, super heavy pour on the drinks with lots of buy backs. I can’t say enough about the friendliness of the bartenders. Gets pretty crowded on the weekends and have a great outdoor area. Late night food is served and their dinner menu is awesome with bar/Irish food. Always a pleasant time here!

Since this is a local place and close to my home, I’ve given it a try a few times. I’ve regretted it every time. The third time was for a baby shower, so I didn’t have a choice. The food has always been a disappointment… not horrible, but certainly far from good. The menu is typical for a bar/restaurant, nothing special. I would certainly stay far far away from this place in the evenings due to the young bar crowd, unless you’re young and enjoy being packed in like a sardine into a tiny bar.

Perhaps my tastes have changed a little, but I didn’t feel I could spend a whole night here without getting a bit bored. This place is just fine. $ 6.50 for a Guinness seems a bit steep to me. Still nice bartenders though, and the DJ definitely got people dancing. Patio had heaters outside… didn’t work very well but a nice thought! I certainly will come here from time to time, but I wouldn’t necessarily go out of my way.

I can’t even deal with the burgers at Irish Times. I don’t know what is going on back there in the kitchen, but I’m pretty sure it must involve magic and voodoo and maybe some unicorn tears. Their burgers are life changing. I always get them medium rare with blue cheese crumbles(OMG I’m salivating right now. Stop it.) and the patty comes out so gently packed together that you barely have to bite down for the juicy, perfectly seasoned meat to fall into your mouth. I know this is a dramatic review but seriously, the burgers are that good. They grind their own meat. I asked because I am obsessed with these things. Good Lord. I guess they have things besides burgers. I vaguely recall ordering other dishes once or twice end instantly regretting it. Seriously though, their food is really good. They have a tilapia wrap which is pretty outstanding, I’ve definitely enjoyed their huge salads, sandwiches and burgers come with your choice of fries, rings or both(both, please!)…the grilled cheese on the kids menu was pretty freakin’ delicious too. The manager/owner makes a point of swinging by your table to check on you and always seems to have a great attitude and be glad to be there. That goes a long way. And the service is usually pretty on point too. We don’t come for happy hour or on rowdy nights because we are old farts, but if I was young and fancy free, I can definitely see how this would be a fun place to hang out, grab a few beers and some bar snacks and just chill. Just do yourself a favor and get the burger, would ya?

Good local bar with food and a relaxed atmosphere. Bartenders are friendly, drinks are good, and they’re open til 4AM. Always a good go to when going out.

Decent local bar with a dance floor and a pretty large outdoor drinking area. The food is decent, not really a must-have. The staff is kind of snobby, at least in my experience which is several times. If you live in the sachem area you are bound to see at least 5 people you went to school with. The dj plays the same, typical dance music every week but all the underagers eat it up. Drinks are kind of pricey for a bar located in Holbrook? Bathrooms were clean though and there are heat lamps out back for when it’s cold and you’re outside. I wouldn’t recommend it but everyone has different opinions so give it a try. Overall 2.5÷5 so 3…

Best wings in and around the Holbrook area! I live just down the street so this place is amazingly convenient. I definitely recommend eating and drinking here

This place is okay for grabbing a couple of drinks with friends at the bar on a Friday or Saturday night. They have a nice outdoor section with a heater for those cold nights. If you are not going for drinks, I would recommend staying away from this place. I had ordered the chicken stefan after the waitresses’s glowing recommendation. Once it came, it looked pretty good and it smelled decent, but that’s where it ended. The chicken was overcooked, the gravy was nonexistent, and holy cow was there a lot of cheese. The mashed potatoes tasted like store brand boxed mashed potatoes. I had to cover it in pepper and salt to make it somewhat edible. And I’m not much of a cook but come on, i can make broccoli taste better than the garbage they served me. My friend also inquired about the beef barley soup and the waitress said, «its amazing, I eat it all the time»(ha). I tried the soup and let me tell you, the waitress must’ve loved eating her food with a pound of salt on the side because praise the lord my blood pressure definitely went up 10 folds after eating one spoonful. Will definitely not be coming back.

Nothing special. Got a beer and a burger. Not bad. Good. Not great. I can think of a dozen other places that is rather spend my Saturday night. On the positive side — it was fairly priced and they had live music.

Such garbage! Rude, rude, RUDE waitstaff and other employees, and a complete waste of space and time… NOTTOMENTION the recent story of denying an innocent trans woman entrance this weekend. This place deserves to be shut down.

Great place if you like security people who beat up women at the door. If not, I’d spend St. Patrick’s Day elsewhere. Seriously, though ITP — someone is trying to get into your place in order to buy beverage in exchange for money and you decide to beat them up instead? Obviously you don’t need business all that much. Shame.

Messed up place. Got my I.D. stolen from security(Rob and Matt) who claimed my legitimate card to be fake. This was after they physically assaulted me, called me a «heshe,» and tried to steal/break my iPhone. Not a safe place for those who are transgender. Be wary.

I’ve been here twice for someone’s birthday and each time I’ve had a good time. There is a dance floor(typical bar size dance floor) and a DJ there on Saturday nights. The drinks and service was good. Right across the street is the diner, perfect for after 2 am!

I do love Irish Times, I really really do! Laid back atmosphere, awesome bar staff, and pretty good food. I came here last night for an office Xmas party and we were all drinking and having a fantastic time. My dear mother had three vodka gimlets(we can all imagine how that turned out), and I had a few tasty cocktails as well. The office decided to have a buffet style dinner which included: a cheese and fruit platter(I love cheese and was very pleased when I saw that!), chicken franchese, a roast beef carving station, sausage and peppers, penne a la vodka, caesar salad, and mashed potatoes. All were very good dishes! As the night progressed, a DJ came out and started playing a good mix of music that I just had to get my mother dancing with me, and I was successful. Irish Times also has a gorgeous outdoor patio area with full bar, ping-pong tables, and seating which is obviously better for summer events. The only negative about this bar is its placement in that it’s the only bar in the Holbrook area, so there is not really a lot of surrounding night-life. Honestly though, I could easily see myself starting and ending my night at Irish and still having an awesome time.

I came here for a baby shower, however, the other gentlemen attending, along with myself, left shortly after arriving. We did, however, manage to have a frsoty beverage or two before departing. From the outside, Irish Times looks pretty mundane, located in a banal strip mall. Once inside however, you are greeted by a very large and open bar area with a huge mahogany bar. TV’s all over the place, and they have a daily trivia question up on the blackboard. Out back there is a decent sized patio, complete with tables, chairs and portable heaters for those chilly evenings. I can only review the beer. It was cold, refreshing and local(Blue Point is right down the road.) And the bartender serving it was easy on the eyes.

Great happy hour place! Half price drinks and they usually even have live music. Right around the office from me so also very convenient. In the summer they have free grilled hamburgers, hot dogs and italian sausage, in the winter they have a heated outdoor patio. Bathrooms are clean. The food is so-so. Good enough, but nothing special.

Pub. Although it is called Irish Times, it didn’t seem all that«Irish» to me… except for the booze of course… The place is large with an extremely large bar area– great for meeting a LOT of people for drinks, or for meeting new people over drinks. Bartenders were all champs(almost — one dour guy back there — everyone else was chipper) and the drinks are well made. We started and ended our night there and on the end side of things, live music was playing, the drinks moved to plastic cups and the joint was jumping. There is an outdoor area as well complete with bar and ping pong tables — this place gets hopping. They have a dining area as well but we didn’t need that end of it. Parking in front.
