Located on the border of Hope College in Holland, this coffee shop gets crowded. Lemonjello’s offers a variety of signature lattes along with more traditional drinks: espresso, pour-overs, etc… using Madcap Coffee beans. I ordered a cappuccino with soy milk and grabbed a nearby table. The cappuccino was OK. I found the taste of the soy milk more prevalent than the coffee itself unfortunately. I’d give Lemonjello’s another try next time I’m in Holland. Employees appeared dedicated to their craft and despite the crowd, I was not rushed to leave.

There are many great coffee places to go to in Holland but by far and away my favorite is Lemonjellos. The people who work here are welcoming to everyone from coffee enthusiasts to newbies and are more than happy to explain their menu if you can’t make up your mind. There is plenty of space to sit on big group tables as well as more intimate two person tables and the décor is local art. My favorite thing about Lemonjellos is how intentional they are with fair trade ingredients and reducing their green thumb. If you’re not sure what to order… I strongly suggest the Comfort Latte and Vegan Walnut Cookie, enjoy!

Lemonjello’s is one of the best coffee houses you’ll ever go to, bar none. An article recently called Lemonjello’s one of the best in the nation, beating out coffee shops in powerhouse places like Seattle and Portland! That is not at all an exaggeration of their quality. It has a soft spot in my heart as a Hope College alumnus, as many a long evening was spent there studying for finals, talking with friends, listening to music, and just having a great time! Everything about this place is great. The atmosphere is definitely a little hipster, but you’re always warmly welcomed regardless of who you are. All of the«mood lattes» are phenomenal. Not too sweet, but not too bitter either. Also, their drip coffee selection is always great, and they have a ton of amazing coffees you can buy as well to enjoy at home. Their food is also incredible. All of the bagels are amazing, but i am partial to the tomato basil bagel. I think I may have lived off of those for an entire semester of college. Scones, muffins, cookies, even soup! All of it tastes great and will make your experience that much better. If nothing else, you should support Lemonjellos to keep giving back to local businesses. Matt and the crew at Lemonjello’s always did a lot for the students at Hope, and they’ve done a lot for their little corner of the community as well. Stop by and have a cup of coffee. if i could air mail it to California every day, I most certainly would!

Nice coffee. The freshly crafted brews are awesome! Situated at a nice location with a variety of brews you can choose from. Unlike the usual café chains, this local coffee shop was delightful…

I was in Holland, MI for one day and was on a hunt for places that were selling properly brewed pour over coffee. After visiting three coffee shops this was the perfect place. I loved the staff; they were helpful and knowledgeable about their coffee. This is a perfect place to get work done and drink awesome coffee.

Lemonjellos’ food and service are almost as fun as their name. From the Green Army Man(with army man included) to the Stress Reliever latte, every time I enter, I leave satisfied. Their prices are great too, especially for the college students they cater to. I’m hooked.

I can definitely see myself coming back every morning for the remainder of my stay in Michigan! The service was fast and friendly, the menu has a good variety and the baked goods are delicious! The coffee is pretty strong and there’s no extra charge for soy milk!!! I love the variety of vegan and gluten free baked goods. I got a berry smoothie which was subpar but what do you expect from a coffee shop, I also got a gluten free carrot cake muffin that was divine! So delicious and moist! I’m looking forward to trying more yummy treats!

I received rude treatment from the young cashier when I asked for two double espressi to go. Lightheartedly requesting that an exception to the no-espresso-to-go rule be made for some regular customers and considering a time crunch, I was told that if I found it funny, I could go somewhere else, which I certainly did. These people are serious about their rules, and you should be too!

Nothing like being an eight-year regular and being rudely told that you cannot have a to-go cup for your espresso. That, and the increasingly early closing time, shaved off two stars.

Lemonjellos is a coffee shop that serves freshly-made bakery items and is located in the college area. I can see where they get the rave reviews. It is all about the customer, no matter if college student or not. I was visiting family in Holland and needed to find some good breakfast coffee and treats. There is a lot of seating of various types and internet access. It is very inviting. The staff was friendly, informative, and worked in record pace. I picked up coffee and vanilla latte along with bagels, muffins, and blueberry buckle. A couple items were $ 1 day-old items. I grabbed a few and they were just as fresh and tasty as the items made that day. Pricing is the same as the chain coffee shops. If you are going to be in Holland, pass by all of those other coffee shops and head to Lemonjellos for an awesome all-around experience whether take-out or dine-in.

Excellent little coffee shop in cute little Holland, MI! The inside gives a little modern vibe and the service was very friendly ESPECIALLY during Tulip Time. The place was extremely crowded but the servers kept their calm and pumped out orders with care to quality. I ordered a macchiato that was perfectly extracted, and I loved that they paired it with sparkling water. the way it should be served! I’ll definitely stop by here and the other shop a block north the next time I come to Holland.

One of the best things about Lemonjellos is their baked goods. Their muffins, brownies, and cookies are so amazing, especially the raspberry chocolate chip muffin.

Came on the recommendation of a friend who had been a student at Hope College and I was glad she told me about it because it’s a really great and unique coffee and drinks joint! They have a pretty condensed menu for drinks and the speciality are the Mood Lattes where each type of latte was named after a mood and each mood consisted of different flavorings. You can also ask for your drink to be iced or blended with no extra cost. The sodas were great — also creatively mixed with different flavors and pretty awesome names. The service is friendly and very quick. There was also a display of desserts and baked goods. I loved that there was outdoor seating. We got the Comfort Latte and had it blended without whip/sprinkles. It was coffee with hazelnut, vanilla, and white chocolate — pretty delicious although I regretted having it blended instead of iced. The consistency of the drink came out looking less than appealing. We also ordered the Hot Pink soda which was cream soda and some Berry flavorings. This was so good and refreshing and definitely worth the price!

Nice college coffee house. Right accross from Hope College. Was full of stdents when we were there… so not really a good place to hang out on a date or for friends to hang which is what I was looking for with my wife… so we got a coffee for the road. The coffee was solid and the service was great. A good choice in Holland… can’t compair to others in Holland as it was the only one I have visited.

Being an alumna of Hope, you say«Coffee shop» I say«Lemonjello’s». From the chai to the MadCap Coffee to the blueberry buckle, this place is a treasure to downtown Holland and Hope College. Enjoy it while you can, Hope students, because you’ll miss it when you graduate!

Lemonjello’s is adorable, and I wish there were one out here in San Francisco. My sister Laurel brought us here for our morning brew when we were visiting her at Hope. One of her friends was working and she was extremely professional and kind to us. It meant a lot! This coffee shop is among the homiest that I have ever been in. I love the color combinations and the fact that they have their own little«retail» store over in the corner. The coffee is divine. Nice and bold! I will come back every time we are in Holland!

4.5. It’s super crowded here, nearly impossible to find seats, but love the vibe and the service is really friendly. Try the summer steamer — it is sun ripened berries with a touch of chocolate to brighten up the rainiest day!
