The coffee here is just average and the menu is so bare compared to other coffee shops. The prices are on the high side for what you’re getting. Service is always slow and the people working there always seems like they’re rushing you. There are way better independently owned coffee shops in Holland so don’t waste your time.

Bible-carrying, goody-goody college students & snobby, right-winged yuppies is the norm here. But what keeps me coming back??? There’s another delicious coffee shop block away for more of the average citizen.

Best place ever! Feels like a home atmosphere and it’s got the fastest, friendliest service. Homemade foods and coffee while I study means i get things done feeling full and alive! It’s better quality and cheaper and also better than waiting at Starbucks down the road and getting attitude from the majority of servers.

I have been searching for a comfortable coffee shop in this area for some time. Important to me are good seating, quality wifi, and friendly people. This shop has all of that. I had read a Unilocal review that said the wifi was slow, password protected, and given in two hour increments. That may have been the case in the past, or during high season, but none of those were true on this sunny October day. Counter service was quick and friendly and the tables are numerous and not jammed together, which allows for a feeling of privacy for your conversation or computer work. Tea and scones were very good as well. It’s a big place, so if you wants a cozy little shop this isn’t your place. But otherwise it’s well worth a visit.

My good friend is a Holland native, and she said this is the ONLY coffee shop in Holland worth going to. So we had to go when I visited Holland of course! The downtown is very cute, with a lot of parking around(for free it looks like!). JP’s was very cute and comfortable. I ordered a chai with pumpkin spice syrup and I was not disappointed! I would rank it #2 of the 3 pumpkin chai lattes I’ve had this season! Definitely would recommend this place!

Back here after quite a while out of town — the menu is about half he length of what it used to be and the everything seemed just more«average» at least compared to what I remember — so I am giving three stars for just being average…

JP’s was wonderful. The menu was simple and easy to read. The atmosphere was unique and felt sophisticated, although it lacked a bit of coziness. There was a large amount of seating for students to study or friends to gather for conversation. My wife and I tried the traditional Italian cappuccino, which is a 6oz cappuccino with two shots steamed milk and half the amount of foam as a regular cappuccino. It was good — personal preference would have been to have more foam. Seemed almost non-existent. They had great non-dairy choices — soy milk and rice milk. We were also excited to see a barista school attached to the shop. The school was showing coffee-making how-to video clips, which were very interesting and enjoyable. One of the most wonderful factors were three gumball-type machines filled with chocolate-covered coffee beans. That’s genius! Paid a quarter and got my fair share. One contained white chocolate-covered beans, the middle one featured a variety of flavors, and the third machine contained dark chocolate-covered beans. I had the mix, and really enjoyed it! This would be an awesome addition to any coffee shop!

We love this friendly coffee shop though we have had mixed experience with the coffee – cappuccino not the best, nor the decaf. Very friendly staff, delicious muffins!

The best part is the study tables, the only reason for the second star. You can’t have the wifi password unless you order something, even then it is slow and runs out after an hour or so(am I supposed to buy something else, or leave?) Very limited seating for their high volume. If you are from the area you WILL see someone you know. Employees always seem to get stressed and lack patience with customers/each other. Lemonjellos is right down the block — better service and many more options!

Ordered heavy cream. Received half & half and was told it is the heaviest they have. I should have been told that before I had already paid.

This place made me the coffee snob I am today. Full disclosure… I worked here for 4 years while attending Hope College and I come back every chance I get!

The best coffee in town. I like their white mocha very much. It’s sad that they are closing on Sundays now.

I thought it’s pretty cool they had a barista school in here. From the outside I got kind of scared that t might be an espresso royale knock off, and those as we all know are horrible. But this place is cool! I came during tulip time so it was a little crowded, but the service is really nice and the coffee smoothie things they make are delicious! The lattes are really good too. Good job Holland!

Great coffee along with great customer service make this our favorite coffee shop in Holland. Great place to meet up with friends or have a business meeting with WIFI and outlets every where. The art work is a great touch. Everyone is very knowledgable about the coffee they serve. Food is light but it’s the coffee that stars here. Dark matter is my new fav.

The menu is a little off-putting since there’s hardly anything written on it. It just says ‘Tea’, so you have to ask for the flavors at the register. A good place for business meetings or a drink with a friend/family member. Charging stations on the tables and your drink is definitely served warm. I had to wait 10mins before my tea finally cooled down.

I stopped in during the morning rush hour from out of town. I had been driving through and looking for a spot in this picturesque little city. I lucked into a gem of a coffee house. I wish I was from here, this would be my place. The coffee was of the highest quality, and served fresh. I agree with the earlier reviewer who appreciated that they actually played coffeehouse music. I had not even realized how much I had been missing this from the places I’ve been going to. Great place.

What a great little spot in downtown Holland! This coffee shop is one of the coolest I’ve been to. The menu is pretty standard. I didn’t give five stars because of the lack of iced coffee on the menu. People of all ages were sipping coffee, reading, playing games and doing work. There are many tables, booths and comfy chairs to sit in. There are several tall tables with charging stations where students and professionals sat diligently working on their laptops. You get a code for two hours of free wi-fi with a purchase. The store is clean, bright and spacious. If I lived near here, this would quickly become my local hangout.
