Buleria

Great Tapas food. Was pleasantly surprised at the portions. Two Tapas can be a meal. Loved the sangria. We there with a Travelzoo voucher that they gladly honored. Great place. I’ll be back!

Buleria, is a small, cute restaurant on the corner of Dixie and Hollywood Boulevard. Here you can enjoy an nice meal al fresco. On the weekend they even feature a flamenco show. But what about the food? I began with an appetizer of various meats and cheese. The tastes went beyond my expectations! The quality was on par with what you would expect from actually being overseas in an Italian or Spanish restaurant. For my main course I obviously needed to try the paella. My only complaint here was that the shell fish had no flavor. The clams and mussels just tasted watery and did not add anything to the dish. The rest of the paella, however, was terrific. The flavor of the rice was delicious. My favorite part of it was that there were endless chunks of calamari throughout the rice; even down to the final bites. For an appetizer I had the Tabla Iberica which is a sampler assortment of various meats and cheese. The lightness and flavors were extraordinary. This is a perfect dish to have with a glass of wine. I look forward to coming back soon!

Just ate in place last evening the place was small and nicely decorated with the Flamingo dancers posters. We had eaten tapas and they were all very good. Just word to wise if your hungry this place is not for you.
Pricing was quite high 9 bucks for small plate that in other restaurants they give away as samples of food.
