I went here on Thursdays the beers options were limited… I had this placed juiced up cute local place but the music good… well the band was good the singer/guitar player wasn’t that good at multitasking his voice gave me a headache. the bar didn’t offer much the area has PrL and blue and other much better places for same price And better selection of beverages in walking distance. I do suggest the place as a one drink stop. a cute spot and nice spot but

I was down in Hollywood on Saturday night. As I walked down Hollywood Blvd, I heard amazing music coming out of this dark, dank bar. The band, called Bodhisattva, was one of the best I’ve heard, so I stayed for 2 sets and had a few beers. IN between sets, the singer gave me a CD– which was very cool. Honestly, the place was a total dump– it smelled like stale beer & looked as if it hadn’t been cleaned in months– dirty, nasty bathrooms, etc. If it wasn’t for the band, I would have never walked in. The Native Florida Tap Room could be a cool place. It appears as though the owners don’t care how the place looks. It’s a shame– it could be a really cool place with a little tlc. If you dare to try this place, bring cash– they don’t accept credit cards. I hope the band plays in better venues in the future– they acquired a new fan. The bar did not.

I was there on Saturday night to support my friend’s band, Bodhisattva. I was very impressed with the sound system. For a small place, they have the acoustics nailed! The bar has an extensive selection of beers on tap and the bartender was very knowledgeable about them. He was attentive and offered small tastes of anything I was interested in checking out! Prices were very reasonable, too. They had a full bar as well and I believe cocktails were only $ 6. The place itself is fairly dumpy — a real dive! They also only accept cash. However, we did speak with the bartender and he mentioned that the owners were going to add in a kitchen and reconfigure things to allow for tables and a little more room inside.

Great sound system for live music, also excellent place for new bands and semi-pro musicians to perform their stuff on Thursday nights. More people should be out to support this place because they can get some incredible musicians to play on their stage. CASHONLY. Good selection of beer.

In the land of tourist bars and abandoned real estate, this was fabulous. Walking by, looking for a place to drink after a dinner at a friend’s house, we hear great guitar and a raspy voice. We walk in an extremely large room with 30 ft ceilings, and a see neon decorated bar, one bartender, and 15 people religiously watch as an old man is playing some good guitar. Puzzled, we studied the eclectic crowd, from the passerby retires to the local business man in the suit, the young couple on a date, and the groupies. We quickly sat at a bar, had a couple drinks, and listened quietly until Americana legend Malcolm Holcombe was sadly done. I wish we had a place like this in Northern Virginia. Note: The beer selection was excellent, for a place that seems had just been put up a few weeks before. Taps included a few selection from Rogues, Stone, Franziskanner and some more accessible such as Bud and friends.
