I went here while vacationing in Florida. The service is quick and amazing. Food is spectacular. Chicken in laffa and schwarama are great. Chocolate babka is to die for. My wife and I are coming back again before we fly back today. Will update but I’m absolutely sure this place will be amazing. Parking situation is good too by the way!

Really fresh Amazing tasting food. Great service even though it was crowded. Large portion sizes. Kids burgers were fantastic. Their house fries are thinly slice deep-fried goodness. Chocolate babka is really all that! So rich and filling its crazy.

I came here for one thing, and one thing only the«chocolate babka» I skipped the lines went straight to the register and got myself a slice, that’s all you need in a hot summer day! Grab done milk, and enjoy one of the best babkas you have ever had. Ps. Haven’t tried anything else on the menu, but it did seem good enough to come back another time to try some things on there menu.

Ordered a chicken shawrma and they gave me curry lamb. Disgusting! Dont ever go here! I spent $ 10 on it just to go home and throw it out realizing they messed up my order. Also, it was 2;45, they close at 3! They gave me the nastiest left over potatos and lamb covered in fat. Thanks Levi’s!

I want to give Levys a real review because I have been coming here for 10 years. I love the food from Levys and I drive 30 minutes just for their babagonuish. Also I generally do not like to say anything negative about a kosher restaurant or Isreali people as I am Isreali but I was extremely offended by an experience I had there. First and foremost the salad bar is great and I’m not talking about American — sweet tomato’s type salad bar, I’m talking about Israeli kosher salad bar. So that is great with everything you want– carrot salad, beets, etc. however, this particular experience is not about the food because that was great. Even the American waiter that served us was great. The problem with this visit is actually about a big fat mouth Israeli woman that wasn’t even helping us that is the problem. I ordered the fish — salmon. The waiter informed me it would take a long time to make. I said no problem, I will wait. Well 45 minutes later the fish arrived and it was tilapia not the said I ordered. The waiter apologized he was very nice and he said they wouldn’t charge me and if I wanted my take it with me for someone else. I said fine. Then as I was leaving I heard the big mouth Isreali from behind the counter scream, why did you give them the fish if they don’t want to pay for it! Wth lady… You messed up the order, that’s not the clients fault. Should it go in the garbage? You should apologize to me for messing up! I will NEVER go back to Levys. I live in Aventura where there are plenty of delicious kosher restaurants– no need to drive to Hollywood.

My family and I have been going to Levy’s for years because their food is delicious. However I’m appalled to have witnessed an event that is the reason I won’t be back. During a busy lunch time, I saw the owner take leftovers from diners’ tables and place them on the top counter. Then he nodded to the grill guy who took the leftovers(fries, hummus, chips) and deposited the leftovers back into the various containers. They did so thinking no one was watching. I had finished my meal and was on my way out when this happened. If they did this in the dining room can you imagine what goes on in the kitchen? Diners be warned because I would want to know.

Bomb! Get the shawarma pita with extra crispy, delicious, thinly sliced morsels of heaven they call fries. Which are really thicker slices freshly fried potato chips. Also try some of the kosher dills at their pickled bar. And if you can’t understand Wes when you’re ordering, don’t worry, Wes understands you.

Great food, their fries are not traditional but more like chips, they are great. Their staff is friendly and the food is served quickly. I had a shawarma plate with mixed salads. The food was tasty and flavorful.

First of all the staff are really nice and friendly. I’ve been coming here for lunch with a coworker, and the more we come the more we want to come back! You walk in and give your order at the counter. They are cooking the schwarma and other items right there, so very shortly after you order they start preparing it. After ordering you can find a table and get your utensils and drink from the cooler. We tried felafel and young chicken last time we were there, we ordered it on pita with sides of fresh chips and the rice and beans. When they are ready to complete your order they call you up so you can tell them what condiments and salads you would like with your meal. I love the fresh hummus and eggplant. They can make it super spicy, which we usually get and its delicious! It’s definitely worth the trip here for a taste of Israeli/middle eastern culture, the desserts are amazing and everything is made fresh!

Even before ordering, if the fact that most of the people around you will be wearing yarlmukes and have liberally outgrown facial hair doesn’t already convince you that this is authentic kosher food, then the food itself will. You certainly get the full Israeli experience here, with everything form shawarma, meat kabobs, pita, hummus, pickled vegetables, and even imported Israeli fruit drinks in the beverage cooler. As far as taste goes, Levy’s borders on 5 stars; and if cost is not an issue(it certainly doesn’t seem to be for most of their patrons), you will easily walk out blissfully full, with hardly a qualm on quality. There aren’t all that many seats, and they stay crowded at dinnertime, so service may seem rushed and table space tight – but once the food starts rolling out, you will undoubtedly become absorbed in the experience. Some notes on the food: Hummus — 4 Stars — Excellent, with a definite homemade feel, but ever-so-slightly runny for my taste. Pita — 4 Stars — Hot, fluffy, and endless. Pickled Vegetables — 5 Stars — There’s a self-serve vegetable bar in the back; take as much cabbage, turnips, cauliflower, and cabbage as you wish. They do one of the best pickling jobs I’ve tasted, with just enough tartness, and a slight(yet not overstated) spicy kick. Kabob Meats — 5 Stars — The meats are substantial, fresh, succulent, and perfectly seasoned. I can’t really imagine kabob meat being any better. Shawarma — 5 Stars — The meat is fantastic, and they will pack these pita sandwiches ad ridiculum with whatever combination of purple cabbage, Israeli salad, tahini, and other toppings of preference. Dessert: If you ever thought Jewish desserts can’t hold their own in the vast ocean of world cuisines, Levy’s might make you think again. They do have baklava, but I’ve always gone for their babkas. A babka is a traditional Jewish pastry dessert, flavored like rugalah, but baked as a complexly layered high-loaf bread. Levy’s offers the sweeter Chocolate and the more traditional Poppy. When I come with my family, we find it difficult to not order one of each of these. They are extremely moist, and the interspersed layers of breading, filling, and streusel keep the pastry interesting all the way through. My only concern is the heavy use of shortening, and the Chocolate version being almost too sweet. A single order is pretty plentiful, and capable of satisfying 3 – 4 people. Box up any leftovers, and toss it in your toaster oven the next day. The shortening that cascades out when heating it on your second pass may make you think twice about ordering it the next time – a lamentable feeling which passes after a few days’ time. Their platters and dinner plates range between $ 15 — $ 24+, which seems slightly on the pricey side for Israeli food – but the high volume of kosher customers willing to wait for a seat authenticates my claim that Levy’s is one of the best Israeli restaurants in town.

So happy I forgot my lunch yesterday! For years, and I mean years, I have tossed around the idea of going to Levy’s, something always stopped me, and once again, something almost stopped me ! This restaurant is walking distance to my place of employment, and I was craving a chicken pita(weird craving, I know)… When my co-worker and I walked in, it smelled a little funky to me but I thought ‘Jods you’re just sensitive’ so I didn’t say anything. All of a sudden I smelled something so delish I asked the gentleman behind the counter… he said Falafel, I said ok, I’ll take it! He then asked what I wanted on it, when I asked what normally comes in it, he replied ‘everything’! Obviously he knew I was a newbie and needed a bit of help. I had a hard time understanding him so a lady next to me sorta helped me out with the advice ‘let him do his thing, it’s so good’ Good doesn’t even describe it! My Falafel Pita had incredible Hummus, cucumbers, peppers, eggplant and I couldn’t even tell you what else. It was by far, the best Falafel I have ever had! It comes with a side of Fries or Beans and Rice. I declined a side, knew I probably couldn’t finish the sandwich and I hate to be a waster. The fries are actually more like chips, deep fried and crispy crunchy, almost every table had an order! So what almost stopped me from eating here? Well, as my meal was being prepared I had walked over to the register to pay and noticed the ‘yummies’ as my coworker called them on the counter(pastries, Bobka etc.) and there were a few flies all over them… gross!!! I quickly went back to check out the counter where my food was being prepared and no flies! I decided to just go with it, I was starving and it looked delish… glad I did! And btw, I ate the entire thing! Can’t wait to ‘forget’ my lunch again!

***Levy’s should get bonus stars! The pastrami was so delicious, I don’t think I will ever have better. The waiter, a super nice guy, explained that the owner got this new type a while back and it’s the French type of pastrami. They gave us a sample and I could have just eaten a plate of that and been happy for the rest of the night. The hummus was freshly made, smooth and delicious. The pita is thick, soft and warm. This is not your typical store bought pita bread. The waiter brought us a sample of different spreads and the eggplant one was a huge hit with my boyfriend. We ordered the pastrami burger. If you didn’t see the photos yet, go look at the size of that thing! It is a mountain of quality beef burger and pastrami with grilled onions and coleslaw on the side. The fries are the best I have had in South Florida, see the photo. They are thin sliced and fried as if your grandmother made them from scratch. The beef pita was made with the best and cleanest cut of meat. They bring you a platter with chopped tomato, cucumber and sesame tahini dressing to dress it with. As if we didn’t have enough, the waiter tells us about their poppy seed cake and I had to try it. We got one to go and it is soft and delicious, not too sweet but something you would love with a good cup of coffee. I found this place because we were shopping at Crown Liquor last week. I saw two Hollywood police pull into the parking lot one right after the other and park. I said, they have to be eating somewhere good. As we were leaving, I saw the sign for Levy’s and looked it up on Unilocal.Over 80 Unilocalers rate this place great but you will never know exactly how outrageously good it is until you taste the food yourself.
