Hanks is a cozy local place for very good casual food.
Very good wines, good drinks, good service.
Servers are very friendly and make you feel happy.
The menu items with variety of every type food from hamburgers to filet mignon to a yummy Scottish salmon.
Enjoy it every visit!

We stopped in on a Sunday night based upon the reviews. Wow — this is good. We have been to a lot of the restaurants on the island and the food here is just as good — but the price is reasonable. We had a party of 6 so we could taste a variety of foods (Burgers, Chicken, Fried Shrimp, Fish Tacos, etc). I would strongly recommend this to anyone.

Wow! Most amazing loaded potato skins I’ve had since Charlie Browns in Bradenton!!! Absolutely delish! Basically half a potato, crispy, and loaded with bacon and cheese.
Thw fried Grouper sandwich was the best I’ve had in years!
We know why the locals hang out here. No reason to go anywhere else!

I had perfectly grilled grouper tacos with a really tasty slaw and drizzle of crème on top. The beer was cold, the service was great and the atmosphere was fun and tropical!
I took home a slice of key lime pie and it was creamy and light and really good!

This was our first restaurant that we tried on AMI. We stopped in here for a late lunch after checking into our beach house. We shared some cold peel and eat shrimp, which were very tasty. I had a fried grouper sandwich, and my husband had a steak sandwich. The food was very good, the bartender was very personable, and we really enjoyed our visit. The only reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is the lack of craft beer selections.

stopped by this awesome little place on vacation with my gals. i can not tell you enough nice things the bartender Claire. she was friendly, joked with us, told us some local places she likes to eat and shop and she made some awesome drinks for us! we had come by after shopping till we were about to drop and the hospitality here was so on point! its a fun little bar in a strip mall. and im pretty sure i saw some folks eating too. there was good music playing but not too loud and the bathroom was nice and clean. and Claire should get a raise!

Best place on the island! If you are there during the day on weekdays you can say hi to Jenna the best bartender on the island. Food is awesome and just great people there. One of the best spots on the island.
If you want something good to eat try the Reuben or the fish tacos, those are my favorites!

Came on a weekday afternoon and the place was quite busy! We were able to get a table and order right away, but food did take a bit to come out (but it was busy). Had a delicious crab cake and my husband had the shrimp.

Good place! If you’re looking for a cheaper, more diner type of establishment to get away from the expensive seafood places, I’d recommend here. My girlfriend and I got the fish tacos and Cuban pannini and both were $ 11 and nicely executed.

We heard a ton about this place. Just about every local said we had to try Hurricanes Hanks. So after already having dinner and a boat load of drinks we decided to try. We had a few draft beers and some Fish Tacos.
The tacos where $ 10.00 for an order. of 2 Blackened Mahi Tacos. The flavor was very good but the quanity of fish was much greater and by far much freasher and flavorful. We sat at the bar with tons of locals, played pool with them and they all swore this is the best food on Island. After this experience we’d come back for the food and the fun

I had a very unusual dish tonight pumpkin swordfish. I was actually sad the meal was over and I don’t always get sad when the meal is finished. Its called pumpkin swordfish because the sword fish feeds on krill and shrimp and usually its only a very very high end restaurants. It’s a testament to the dedication of the kitchen manager to buy the freshest fish locally that he can. Truly ranks as one of the best fish dishes I’ve ever had in my entire life. The chef topped it with a bruschetta mix and warmed and it was a great compliment to the fish. Pamela the wonderful bartender recommended it to me of course they still have the AHI stacker in the black grouper sandwiches.

We liked this place but weren’t wowed by anything in particular. Food was fine, prices were average, service was just okay. The beer batter is great. We really liked the beer battered gulf shrimp.
