Applebee’s

This is the best Applebee’s service I ever had. The crew were so nice. Food is amazing ofcourse

This place sucks. The menu pictures DO NOT represent what comes on your plate. For $ 14 I got maybe a 3 ounce piece of Salmon an wilted spinach. Worst meal I’ve ever had at any Applebee’s. When I complained to the server, I was told that’s how the dish always comes out — that’s it. That was my final appearance at Applebee’s.

Service was mediocre, we ordered the Asian chicken tacos and the qusadillia burger; the tacos were stale and tasteless, the burger was ok. This was 2 trips in 1, first and last.

Applebee’s would be better off not putting pictures of their food on the menu. When you see what they actually bring to your table, it is a let down.
I ordered their new 4-​Cheese, Mac & Cheese with Honey Chicken Tenders. The didn’t taste 4 types of cheese at all. It seemed to be a simple, and runny, cheese sauce. They also put just 3 small Chicken Tenders on my $ 13.00 plate. It was about the same amount of meat as 4 Chicken Nuggets from McDonald’s. Way too overpriced, not very good.
My family enjoyed their food. I usually enjoy mine, but I won’t order this again.
And when I told the server it wasn’t very good, he apologized… And that was it. I didn’t finish it.
One Star, Applebee’s. I wish you could have been better.

I HATE that this is the case because I really love the food here, but my experience today makes me never want to step foot in that place again. We had the absolute worst service I can imagine today. I cannot understand how this waitress is still employed, although the manager definitely saw how badly she was doing and made no attempt to compensate or help her. My husband had to go get our own drinks (water) from the bar after sitting for over 15 minutes waiting… for WATER. The whole meal took nearly TWO hours and the place was MAYBE 40% full, if that. So very disappointed that this place is run so poorly.

Every time I eat at an Applebees, I remember why I don’t like eating at Applebee’s…
Stopped by for a drink with a friend. Little did we know it was a special day that the restaurant was offering a couple of free appetizers as a «try our new menu» campaign… AND there were $ 3.50 margaritas. SCORE!
The margaritas were okay. I’ve had better, but they were worth the $ 3.50.
The free apps were pretty terrible. The first we got to try was a sriracha shrimp. The sauce was okay, but the shrimp’s texture got to me. They were served on crispy wonton pieces which didn’t really make any sense or add any value to the plate.
The second freebie was smores churros. I thought «they can’t be worse than the fast food churros»… I was wrong. This was a fail on so many levels. The «churros» were these skinny awkward looking rings that were the bad kind of chewy. They were served with a ramekin of hershey’s sauce and mini marshmallows… WTF? Not only did it taste bad, it was hard to eat. The rings were too big to dip, so they had to be torn apart to fit into the ramekin… but the marshmallows acted like an impenetrable shield to get to the non-​treasure of chocolate sauce. I felt like a toddler trying to eat this nonsense.
I tried giving Abee’s a chance to redeem themselves by actually paying for some other small plates, they were only slightly less aweful. We opted for the Kobe-​style meatballs, pretzels and beer cheese dip, and grilled chicken wonton tacos (because I wanted to know what the heck a wonton taco was– curiosity can be a real jerk).
The meatballs were okay, but the flavor was off. There was too much of something and I couldn’t put my finger on it. The pretzel and cheese dip was okay, like something you could get at a sports stadium. The chicken in the wonton tacos had a weird sauce that was offensively sweet, there was some bland unseasoned slaw mix, and cilantro all cozied up in a crispy wonton wrapper. The flavors just did not work with each other. I tried squirting some lime on there, but it just made everything more confusing.
The service was great. Everyone was content. The manager on duty was funny, although there were a few moments that he was trying just a little too hard to get a chuckle.
I’d go back if someone asked me to, but I’d rather go elsewhere… even if that means paying double for the margarita.

Will never come back here again. Ordered shrimp with broccoli pasta and had no flavor. Sent it back and got a bacon cheese burger. Came back with no bacon and no cheese. Asked why I didn’t get what I wanted on the burger and was told I didn’t ask for it. Um, yes I did. Never going back.

experienced the typical «to go» order — asked for cheddar on a sandwich to go and got swiss instead, which I don’t care for, and of course discovered this back at the hotel 6 miles away — I will add that the bartender service was friendly, prompt & efficient, the place looked very clean and I looked forward to returning but I won’t give them more money til I try’em again next year sometime. The Covington Applebees was great (last week).
