When I come to Houma, I’m here for the three f’s: family, friends, and food. But because we’re often stretched for time trying to visit the family and friends, the food part gets thrown out the window. With a very tight schedule around visiting friends and family ahead of us, we were reduced to fast food, because well, it’s fast. We pulled into the drive-thru at this Burger King, ordered a whopper combo with cheese and no tomato as well as a chicken fries combo. When we got to the window the young lady was not at all friendly. It was like she was mid smile as we were pulling up and then it instantly faded away when we stopped in front of the window. Anyway, we started driving away and low and behold we didn’t have any cheese on the burger. Also the fries were hot, but tasted like old grease and apparently someone forgot to salt them. But, as I said, we were on a tight schedule looking for some fast food and there was no time to turn back so we just rolled with it. It’s unfortunate, but«fast food» is practically synonymous with crappy food and even crappier service.
