Atrocious overall {Meyerland}. Burger bun was soaked(& ½ discarded) five minutes after starting. Meat had an odd taste: a nasty ‘liquid smoke’ vileness. Fries were an utter waste, burnt where not soggy, threw away most. Shrugs from feckless staff when I complained. An utter waste: $ 13 for such putrid slop. Be warned: there needs to be a zero-star for such miscreant scoundrels.

Good food. But way to pricey for counter service. I come every so often but the high prices keep me from becoming a regular. The crew does great job.

Overall, Becks Prime offers consistent, better than fast food burgers and salads. Their burgers are always fresh, although the temperature or done-ness is one inconsistent factor. This location has friendly staff and a very nice and clean setting thanks to their long term bus boy. He has a smiling face every time. Lately, Becks has really been mindful of listening to my food allergy orders, and I truly appreciate that effort. They will make a chicken-stuffed baked potato with freshly grilled, un-marinated chicken in order to be onion– and garlic-free. It is delicious.

First I would like to say the food is really great, however, the help is questionable. Earlier today I attempted to use a coupon I received in a book sold by the Boy Scouts of America. The manager, by the name of Brooks, refused to allow me to purchase a salad instead of two sandwiches. Explained I never had a problem using the coupon at other locations because I don’t eat bread. He said the only way he would honor the coupon is if I purchased one sandwich meal and I could get another sandwich only or a salad without the chicken for free. The coupon clearly reads two sandwich meals. I chose to leave and take my coupon to one of the other locations that I knew would handle my order without any hassles. I’ll stick to the other locations that I know understand the spirit of what the coupon was meant to be.

Anyone leaving a bad review for this place is crazy. I just discovered it today and had the burger to put away all burgers. It is a great concept restaurant quality food served for the fast paced American lifestyle. Loved it will be telling all my friends and family.

The prices have gotten outrageous, and the quality of food is no better than something like a Fuddruckers. Got food poisoning from the burger. You can get a better burger, chicken sandwich, fries, etc within a mile for half the price.

Oh boy. Lunch rush hasn’t started and the place is a mess. Very, very disappointed. Was here last year and the diner just felt and looked cleaner. Don’t think I will be back here

I wanted a steak, my son wanted a hot dog, so Beck’s Prime fit the bill. I ordered the filet, medium rare, with baked potato as my side. Overcooked was the first thing I noticed when I cut into it, but when I tasted my steak, it was like a salt lick. Overpowered by salt would be a huge understatement. So I moved on to the baked potato — very same, outside coated in salt and clearly heavy handed on the salt when they prepped the potato. My son loved his hot dog.

I really enjoyed this place! I went with my aunt, who bullied me into getting the Kirby salad with Ahi Tuna… I didn’t even get a chance to read what was in it. So when it was ready to be picked up, and I realized it had blue cheese, my heart sank. Generally I am not a fan of blue cheese, but in this salad it was actually quite good! The pecans added a nice crunch, and the ahi tuna was prepared wonderfully. The salad was pretty large in size. I was unable to finish it! My aunt brought her own homemade raspberry dressing, so I didn’t really get to try theirs, but it seemed a bit oily. One con to this restaurant location was that it was quite noisy! It was a weekday evening, and since it was my only visit, I’m not sure if it is a normal occurrence. I’ll definitely be coming back again soon!

I came here for during my lunch break to get a quick bite. I would say I waited in line about 15−20min in their drive thru. I ordered their seared ahi tuna sandwich which was a little fishy but good. I’ve only had their chicken baked potato aside from the fish sandwich but both satisfy the hunger. I believe their prices are a bargain.

I had a craving for a hotdog. So I went to Becks Prime. My visit was in a word, confusing. First, the name made me believe it was a steak house, you know«prime». Second, the décor is something in between a sit down restaurant and a fast food joint. Third, they have a drive thru but no pick up window. Anyway, I ordered a chili cheese dog. When i picked it up at the counter, I almost sent it back because it is served on a hamburger bun. It was actually two hotdogs split and cooked on the flat top. The chili was thin but tasty. And i feel the bun was a little too dense. To continue the confusion theme, the menu has an array of seemingly mismatched items. Most curious are the«plated classics» which seem to be a version of their sandwiches minus the bun. Whatever Becks is, a steak house, a burger joint, or a chain restaurant, I think $ 13 is on the expensive side for a hotdog and a coke.

I’m going to give this restaurant a 3 due to the fact that it was pretty mediocre. I ordered the stuffed baked potato and requested chili on the side. Now, I never expect much from a stuffed potato unless it’s from a BBQ restaurant. Usually they are under stuffed and pretty dry, which is exactly what my potato was here. The chili helped add some moisture to it but overall it was still an «eh» meal. Not the worst, but not the best. I truly can’t see myself purposely eating here again. There are much better casual dining experiences around town.

Beck’s has historically been one of my favorite spots. When I first moved to Houston 20 yrs ago, the one on Westheimer with the big trees was a favorite go to spot when the weather was good. They also have the best shakes in town. I have watched the prices rise over time, but for a special lunch or dinner I would go. They just had another price bump. Ok. Chicken sand, sweet potato fries, then drink. Love the shakes — dessert size $ 3, but now we are talking $ 25 for 1. Is this a place for counter service we will be going to? I am afraid not. You have priced yourself out of this market. Houston is a tough restaurant town — good luck. 4 star food. 3 star service. –3 star value.

This is our go-to for a quick burger date. Is it the best burger I’ve had? Definitely not. But the price and quality at a Beck’s Prime is a strong one-two combo. Regarding that, avoid ordering the regular size burgers and try going with the Kids Build-A-Burger. I know, most of you are raising your eyebrows at me. But consider this. The patty on the kids burger is the same quality, just smaller. You also get fries and a drink for a meal that’s under $ 10. To get the same Burger/Fries/Drink with regular adult size food we’re talking well into $ 15 territory. Consider yourself educated. Oh, and ribeye burger is pretty awesome for those special occasions when you want a steak in hand-held form.

This is my 30th time eating here and I am just now reviewing it. The lady behind the counter was very stern looking and acted uptight and not friendly at all. She took our order and processed it correctly but being in the front line, an out going, friendly and helpful personality sets the tone. I had the new pork bahn mi sandwich which was amazing! My daughter had the kids burger and ate it all which is rare! The milk shakes are to die for. We waited for our food for about 5 minutes and it was hot and fresh. We will be back but I hope there is someone more friendlier at the register.
