I had a reservation for my birthday at 8 pm. We were shown to the table and it was dirty and the floor was dirty too. I was surprised because they never sat me in an area that was not clean. I come here at least 3 times every 3 months. I told the mgr. and he came and swept and told me the chef would clean the table. The table was supposed to be clean before we sat down though. There was 9 of us and the waitress got the bills wrong at the end. That was kinda bizarre. i would come back but I hope that this doesn’t happen again.

Worst Hibachi experience I have experienced in my 30 years. When I think of Hibachi, I think of great food, an entertaining atmosphere, and leaving completely stuffed. This Benihana failed on all accounts. For my meal, I got 4 shrimp cut into bite sized pieces and vegetables consisting of nothing but onions and 2 – 3 pieces of smashed zucchini. The«chef» did an awful job of timing food to finish, so I had a plate of rice, a morsel of shrimp, and onions all at different times. He also failed at every trick he attempted, and eventually everybody stopped paying attention to him. So I left after dinner, paying nearly $ 30 with tip, and went to McDonalds down the road to round out my meal. I will not be returning, and I will definitely not be recommending a Benihana in the future.

Arigato means«Thank You» in Japanese! So, Arigato Benihana for another wonderful meal. You never disappoint. Tonight, my friend took me here for my birthday. She started with plum wine and I had a coconut mojito. Both were delish! Next, the 6-course meals starts off with miso soup, then a salad. After that, the chef began the show as we all sat around and enjoyed the choo/choo train sounds being made as the chef pushed the onions across the stovetop. After that came the fire show. Then, he began to prep our meal. I had the shrimp & chicken combo and my friend had steak & spicy hibachi chicken. We both upgraded to chicken fried rice. After the dinner show, they bring green tea, then your choice of vanilla or chocolate ice cream or sherbet. When, it’s your birthday, they sing to you, give you a Benihana hat to wear, and a photo to take home. I’ve been going here almost every year for the past 6 or 7 years and they never disappoint. Great food & good family atmosphere.

Went here for the first time in spite of all bad reviews and quickly realized that was a mistake. We had a chef called Bob and I’m not sure if that was his first day or what but he was horrible. By far the worst hibachi chef I’ve ever had. Not only was the food not cooked properly but he switched my medium rare steak with my colleagues that wanted well done and asked as if we can switch plates after we already ate veggies LOL… Definitely won’t be going back there.

I liked the busy atmosphere but not sure how I felt about sitting around the grill with 5 other strangers. It would be a lot more fun if a family went with you or a bunch of good friends. I had fried rice and filet mignon. Didn’t know that they’d cut it up into tiny bite sized pieces which to me was odd but it was tasty. My husband seemed to enjoy his lobster and scallops. The best part for me was our funny chef and the sherbet for desert! It was an OK meal. I’d go back. Next time I want to try the sushi.

Can’t get any worse than this place. Bad service, put chef that’s not even been trained properly. Two hours for lunch due to mistakes made by chef at every single procedure. Smh. Don’t know how this place stays open.

WORSTRESTAURANTEVER! First of all, about 3 years ago my family and I celebrated my husbands birthday on and we all got food poison. Shortly after, they closed the restaurant for a while, cleaned up and were supposed to be under new management. Tonight my husband and I decided to try it again. We are both tow truck drivers and my tow truck is pretty long so I decided we should just valet both vehicles and asked the valet attendant for assistance. In a very snotty attitude said, «I’m not parking that. If you want to eat here you park it yourself. I then said, this is your job to find a parking space for vehicles. He then said to me, bitch I’m not your slave. I almost slapped him, but then said you know what I am just going talk to your manager. I park my truck and began walking towards the door. He then started screaming at me in Arabic, got in my face then pushed me out of the way and almost hit me with the door as he was yelling in front of all of the customers. I finally got to the manager, and was shocked to find that he was the same manager as before. He was non chalant about the whole thing and never repremanded the attendant. I then said, that’s fine we will not eat here and began to walk out. The attendant yelled rude comments to me as I walked all the way through the restaurant, out of the door, and got into my truck to leave. I them retaliated by saying nasty things back and finally left. WORSTRESTAURANTEVER! THEYDONTCAREABOUTTHEIRCUSTOMER’S HEALTH, SAFEY, ORTHEWAYTHEYARETREATEDBYSTAFF. DONOTEATHERE.

I’ve come to this location numerous times with family, friends, or just by myself, but today I did not like the experience! Our cook was two weeks new, when he came to the table he rubbed his nose twice, no interaction, and not organized. When dealing with food there should be no contact with your body, hair, or anything outside of food!!! This cook does not know what he’s doing, that’s probably why they put us to the last table. I’m very disappointed, it’s my mom’s birthday and this is what we get. I asked to be moved to a different table that I couldn’t stand it.

Benihanas has ruined the hibachi style dining experience for me. I will never be going back there again… this was inedible sushi

Ordered the spicy chicken, fried rice, and Philadelphia roll. It was only ok. I feel as if I simply paid for the ambience of the atmosphere. The cooks was probably the highlight of the dinner. The sushi I expected to be great but I have had better from the Midwest. Had to drinks and had not even a buz. For 10 dollars a pop kinda expected to be a tad tipsy. Probably won’t return unless I just crave over priced Chinese.

Took my son who is 4 and daughter who is 9-first time for both and they LOVEDIT. The look on my son’s face as Tom the Chef was cooking… PRICELESS! Tom was awesome, the food was delicious and more than enough, I really liked the salad dressing/must get the receipe! I had the salmon and it was perfect as was the shrimp appetizer! The whole atmosphere was wonderful and I hope to take the kids again. We went on a Friday night-made reservations. The hostess staff was so welcoming and the manager also greeted us, asked if we were celebrating anything special… we were well taken care of. I also had a mojito which was so good! So happy we went!

I am never disappointed at Benihana! Great show and wonderful service, always. I love that the meal includes multiple courses. It’s always too much to finish but it’s a great experience. We came here a couple of weeks ago for a birthday and had an entire grill to ourselves. The only issue was that it was extremely rainy outside and the ceiling was leaking really badly over the hibachi behind us. It really messed with the atmosphere.

Good place. Nice atmosphere most of the time. A little over priced compared to a few other Japanese steak houses with bigger portions but still a great night out.

This is my son’s favorite restaurant and that is why we tend to come here and eat a lot. We really have a good time at this restaurant and the staff here are so professional, I believe most of them have been working here for a very long time. The bar selection is awesome and the food from the Hibachi is great. Would totally recommend this restaurant for families.

Great ambiance for a family outing or an outing with friends. I personally like the fried rice. Great seasoning. Fresh ingredients. Entertaining chefs.

My latest experience here was one I just want to forget. I’ve been to this location a few times because of birthdays or friends wanting to come. From what I’ve noticed, the service is subpar and the food is just not that good. I’ve sat in both the lounge area and the teppan grill area and of course there is more action in the back grill areas, but the lounge can be a good place since it’s quiet and away from the crowds. My typical dish when coming to teppan grill restaurants is the filet mignon and shrimp combination. Here they call it Samurai Treat($ 34.25) which is the USDA Choice filet mignon with colossal shrimp. It’s a teppan option which I only recommend ordering when seated in the teppan grill area, not the lounge /sushi bar area. On my latest visit, even though we had reservations, the teppan grill area was completely full and we didn’t want to wait, so they seated us in the lounge area. Bad idea. Pros: quiet, easier to talk when you come in groups, close to bar for ordering drinks Cons: can’t see your food cooked in front of you, your fried rice isn’t made fresh and wasn’t even fried, portions seem much smaller, food is not hot off the grill I upgraded the teppan dish by subbing steamed rice for their chicken fried rice. Turns out, they don’t even give you fried rice as the menu suggests, they gave us brown rice instead, tossed with bits of chicken and tiny carrots. It was just awful. Other people in the group also noticed how bad the rice tasted, how it didn’t taste like any fried rice they ever had, and that it wasn’t soy sauce in the«fried rice» that made the rice brown in color, it was simply brown rice with little to no soysauce. Plus, it wasn’t even fried either, just tossed with chicken and carrots and it was COLD. What were they thinking here, that no one would notice? I added a spider roll to the meal, and found this to be mostly sushi rice with very little filling, and almost no crab. A terrible roll by all means. Turns out, we all left a little hungry, and never received our shrimp appetizers or the hot green tea!!! I also noticed that the shrimp with the teppan dish were simply the smaller hibachi shrimp not the colossal shrimp as advertised on the menu. Wtf??? To top it off, I was really surprised when my bill came out to be $ 73 for 1 teppan entrée, 1 roll and 2 drinks. Just really felt the quality and service didn’t justify the high prices here, I had cold food and we didn’t even get a show!!! Next time my friends want to come here, I’m just gonna say hell no!

Dined here for my dad’s birthday because it was one of the closest hibachi places near our house. Upon entering, we were put on hold by the hostess because she was on the phone; okay, I understand. She then put us on the list and we had to wait no longer than 5 minutes. Once she took us to the table, my party of 4 was not allowed to sit at the whole table. She told us that we were only allowed to sit at either half of the table just in case some other party comes. This made me a little agitated seeing that there were 4 other empty hibachi tables. In the end no one else came to our table and I wanted to sit in the middle so I had to move all of my plates and utensils to the other seat. I got the samurai’s treat which had the filet mingon and colossal shrimp. We also got the wow roll and Las Vegas roll as our appetizer. The wow roll was good but I didn’t feel the same about the Las Vegas roll. The wow roll was basically a sampler of different sushi that they had. The Las Vegas roll basically tasted like cream cheese with a jalapeño on top. Meh. The mushroom soup that came out first was too salty. The salad with ginger dressing that came out second was okay. I don’t like ginger so I didn’t eat it. But the lettuce and cherry tomatoes looked fresh. After waiting half an hour, or chef finally came out. He made our chicken fried rice first. All of the ingredients looked fresh but then came the giant slab of garlic butter. Wow lol. Fried rice was good overall. The shrimp appetizer and part of my meal came out next. The shrimps were big and juicy. But again with that giant slab of garlic butter. Next came my filet mingon. I asked for medium well and before he served everything on my plate he let me taste a piece to see if it was okay. It was actually cooked perfectly. After all of our food was served, we were treated with a cup of hot green tea to help our body digest all of the food. Then came the birthday song and ice cream for my dad. Our waitress was really nice and funny. They took our photo with their camera and even printed out a photo for us that came with a digital copy as well. The only thing that I’m kind of iffy about is that on the 6 course entrée that I ordered, it said it came with ice cream or sorbet for each individual order but only one came out for my dad. Other than that, the food deserves 3 stars and the service deserves 4 stars.

Happy Hour! Met my girls for happy hour and it was awesome. Our waitress was so sweet and easy going. Loved her. We ordered a few different rolls– crunchy roll, California roll, shrimp roll and a salmon roll plus gyoza, and the wings. The sauce on the wings were hecka good. Everything was really good. The rolls were tasty and fresh. They were really nice too bc my cousin doesn’t eat mayo– so they made everything without it for her. The prices were good too as were the portions. The parking sucks but mostly bc people don’t know how to park in between the lines. They have valet too but didn’t see it in time.

We have been here twice. Both times with the kids, because it’s entertaining for them. They love the little tricks the chef does. The food is pricey for what you get, but I suppose you’re paying for dinner and a show. The dress is casual. It can get pretty busy on weekend nights, but once I came at 7pm on a Friday and easily got a table without a reservation. You may get lucky and find a parking spot. If not, there’s valet. There is a side room with a sushi bar and a drink bar if you’re not feeling up for hibachi.

We went to Benihana in Houston for the second time tonight. It is a fine go-to place for a dinner with kids. The food is good, it is certainly entertaining, and it isn’t too expensive for what it is. My kids always enjoy the show, and they never fail to ooh and ah at the shenanigans of the cooks. The service tends to always be friendly and very efficient. You won’t get a whole lot of attention generally, but your needs will be met. The food is always consistent and of good quality. I got the filet and lobster tonight, both were cooked exactly as I asked and both were very tasty and fresh. My fiancé ordered shrimp which were served in a huge order… both of us brought more than half of our food home. On the whole I can recommend Benihana for that occasion that merits a change of pace but maybe not so nice as an occasion that would send you out for a fine dining meal.
