Over priced for what you get. Need to give more meat unless you like paying $ 7 for a wrap that’s mostly lettuce!

Used a $ 20 living social voucher today to try out Freshii — the $ 20 almost paid for 3 of us to have lunch(+drinks) which was nice. I ordered the chicken club wrap, my friends ordered the asian noodle bowl, the asian burrito and another friend tried the soup. In spite of the confusing dual-menu, the food was pretty good, quickly served and inexpensive. Our only concern was that the soup didn’t come with regular bowls, instead it came with a stupid number of plastic containers(the soup was for a mother and two children, it came in a huge tub, she then needed to subdivide it into 3 smaller tubs!!) Definitely a good place for the occasional lunch :)

The Buffalo Chicken Wrap is delicious, fresh and very satisfying.

The restaurant looks like a ‘save the planet’ poster on the inside. Very sleek and clean(with an emphasis on green), Freshii prides itself on being healthy and«green». Ok, now the bad news. The food is boring. Its like eating a Greenpeace brochure. The main ingredient in their foods is brown rice. Nothing says«grilled steak burrito» like a whole grain paper towel wrapped brown rice. «Healthy» is a subjective term. So is «green». There aren’t any requirements to label anything as such. If «healthy» is defined by the food pyramid, then yes this is healthy. It’s carbohydrates galore!

I’ve just returned from Freshii, a place that was just introduced to me last night at the 2010 Unilocal Holiday Hoedown. At the Unilocal event they served several different style wraps, that seemed to taste pretty good, so I wanted to give it a try for a full meal. I had the teriyaki bowl and my friend had the salmon salad. I like the fact that they are using fresh ingredients and none of which are processed, and farm raised meats, but that is pretty much where it ends. Their food fell incredibly flat, the bowl had very little taste, while the salmon salad was sort of dry and bland. I brought back a bangkok burrito for my leading lady and that tasted a bit better, but it still fell short. The service and the people who worked there were great and very friendly, while the bathroom facilities were clean and cozy. But this doesn’t make up for bland food. I’m all for the environment and having fresh, hormone-free meats, but that doesn’t mean you need to lose the taste. I’ve made my own chicken wraps at home using Whole Foods’s farm-raised, antibiotic-free chicken and it tasted my way better than Freshii. It boggles my mind that they are going to be opening up 10 to 20 in Houston over the next few years.

For the health conscious person out there. this is the place to eat some good, non processed and healthy food and not feel bad later! I tried there Bangkok Chicken burrito. This was very good and the peanut sauce was nice too. I really like their plan to provide clean and healthy foods as quick as possible. Per one of the owners, they keep it clean(i likey that very much) in the food as well as their establishment. He talked about expansion and am looking forward to that, as their location now is out of my way.

Real food — not processed! Great management — the staff more than willing to go out of their way to help you out. From salads, to wraps, to bowls — all delicious! It may seem pricey but you get what you pay for — real and fresh isn’t frozen and shipped from out of the country. Your body will appreciate it when you eat here — and they have a great frequent dining program and they cater. I had them cater a birthday party for me and go the sampler platter(first timers are absolutely free by the way) and it was a big hit!

noticed this place popped up by my gym so one day after working out i felt like trying freshii. they offer soups, salads, bowls, wraps, and oatmeal and yogurts, all can be ordered as the menu describes of can be fully customized to your liking and you pay extra for premium toppings(ex cheeses, meats) i got a burrito it had brown rice grilled chicken grilled onions etc. the burrito was good. its hard to find healthier food joints like this wish more would open up making my healthy dining much easier to maintain.
