Opens at 6am — got a few before a flight I had to catch. Tried 2 of the original polish kolache and a sausage and cheese kolache. SOGOOD and filling! If you dont know what a kolache is, it’s a meat or some sort of filling inside a bread. Usually eaten for breakfast/lunch. They price out from $ 1.20-$ 2.50. Wish they had some in Chicago!

I have frequented this location for about 5 years now. The kolaches are really good, but the service has come down in recent years. Used to be you could go in and get exactly what you asked for but now you have to repeat yourself 3 – 4 times and even then you have to check your bag. I have written a few e mails to the company regarding this and they always send a message right away to the manager. Things get better for a time but then fall off again. I know people have their favourite locations and I have seen some who favour Olde Town to here but I am not one of them. The Kolache Factory has a much greater variety and I actually like that there are variances in consistency with taste and such because that is how you *KNOW* they make all their kolaches from scratch including the dough. I adore the dough recipe! I could eat it all day. And in fact during the holidays — though I am sure you can special order any time of the year — rolls made from their dough sold by the dozen. Quite tasty! My only«complaint» with any Kolache Factory location is they have very little to offer to vegetarians and vegans besides all the sweet fruit varieties, jalapeño and cheese, spinach and poppy seed. They could do a cheddar cheese {I can see a lot of parents liking this one over the really sweet fruit ones for kids}, a Chinese Vegetable, an Indian Samosa or other similar things and do it as their«flavour of the month» to judge response for permanent placement. I’ve e mailed the company about this as well and I got a response from the VP of the whole company! He said he’d not had anyone bring it up before but replied that they would look into it. It wasn’t long after that the spinach and poppy seed came out.
