Great spot for any occasion. Love the staff, regulars, and the owners who are regularly present. Food is served occasionally during different events as there is always something going on here. Variety of music types and DJ nights. Gets pretty packed on the weekends. Sundays during football season are the best for daytime drinking. Lots of tailgating events and my favorite go to spot after the Rodeo. A great place to duck off into if you don’t feel like dealing with traffic right after work. Also a great place to pre-game or a have a full blow party. I have been to quite a few parties here and its always a great time. Patio has big screens, speakers, and heaters during the winter time.

I went here on Neo Soul night! I loved it. It’s a swanky place, with a metro vibe. The D.J. played an excellent selection, and played the videos on a big screen. There’s a nice ambience here, with couches to lounge around. The wait staff is really nice, and the drinks are cool. On this night they had a great cupcake vendor available, and were giving away free c.d.s, as well as a raffle for free concert tickets. They also serve food, and the plates are full with food. Great chill or date spot!

Lots of fun, awesome bartenders, great drinks… what more do you need from a lounge? I enjoy myself whenever I come here.

I came here after work for a Birthday Happy Hour for a friend of mine. First let me say, I love the renovation ! The last time I was here, it was Azul. So I appreciate when a new place comes in with a similar concept as the previous occupants, but changes things up a bit. The many seating options are very nice and comfortable. Perfect for lounging… which brings me to my personal«Pet Peeve» & only gripe. This might be a Houston thing, but I don’t understand the concept of being a «Lounge» if you want to operate like a «Club». THEMUSICISTOODAMNLOUD !!! I love good music, I truly do. The DJ here is nice, but why oh why must I have to YELL to the person sitting 2 feet from me to be heard, when I am in a Lounge? I promise you, music can set the tone in a spot & it can be heard and still enjoyed at a lower level. Think about this… If you were at home & having friends over for drinks, lite bites & conversation & had some music playing, would it be playing so loud that everyone has to SCREAM& literally have to lean in & talk directly in someone’s ear to be heard ??? No, somebody would turn that shit down ! LOL I just don’t get this. Why can’t you play the music at conversation level from say 5PM to 11PM& then turn it up to Club/Dance level after 11PM, especially when you call yourself a Lounge? Me & my 3 to 4 girlfriends, sitting on the sofa’s here trying to catch up with each other & everyone getting lost in the conversation & saying«Huh »? «What did you say«? every 2 minutes… NOTCOOL. Just my 2 cents for what it’s worth. Honestly, I would have preferred to have sat on the patio, but I did not want the Houston Humidity send my Hair Do back to natural, LOL.

I went on a Saturday night and it was a pretty big crowd with it being free to get in and free to park I could understand why. The place was soo packed that I couldn’t get to the bar but it was still pretty nice.

So GLAD to see this place open again!!! If you lived in Houston and know a little about the night scene, Libra Lounge use to be Azul Lounge. In fact, the old signage is still outside the building for those who want to reminisce about some good times at the other establishment – or to remind them where the place is – you choose. I’m not ashamed to admit that the latter applies to me(I’m directionally challenged sometimes)! Desiring a careFREE Friday night with some of my girls, I decided to call my people up. Besides, who can beat no hassle dress code, free cover, and parking!!! However, these thoughts were based on my previous experiences at Azul. I was taught to never assume, so I called the lounge and asked about cover and the parking. To my relief – free and free! Not too many places that I know of have that(and if you do know of others, let me know). Because Libra is so laid back and carefree, it was already packed with cars before 10. I almost had to park across the street at the Discount Tire, but found a nice spot in front of the mattress store near the lounge. I don’t know about CVS anymore being an option, so best bet, park at Discount Tire since they’re closed when Libra is open. Stepping inside the old Azul Lounge made me awestruck. The remodeling took the cool calm and collective Azul Lounge and transformed it into more of a sexy and sweet locale with warm, red colors, lighting, couches and chairs to accentuate its new image. Only issue is that these additions along with the stage tucked in the corner, the DJ booth, and the bar do not leave too much room inside. But if you feel like dancing, people will make room for you to do so! Going outside is another option too because you will still be able to hear the music outside the closed door. If you’re in the mood to drink(and why wouldn’t you) don’t get turned off by the prices. I tell anyone that if it’s a business, they’re in the business to make money. You don’t pay cover nor parking to get inside. PLUS, you were not interrogated and turned away because of how you looked and dressed. Therefore $ 10 drinks are a decent price to pay – especially when they hook it up! Prime example, Bartender asked me how my drink was. I told her it was bland, so she took the drink and POURED some more liquor into the glass. It was just right after that! The one hesitation that you might ponder that came across my mind is this: wouldn’t a place with no restrictions or exclusions(such as dress code or cover cost) draw the undesirables to the spot? However, I think people know that when you come here, it’s to let loose and have fun while the DJ spins some incredible music, or to chill on the patio and sip your drink and people watch or converse with some other grown people. That doesn’t mean that the place is exempt from«colorful behavior» because of one too many drinks, but I think most people who have ever went out and experienced showing their own«colorful behavior» would appreciate a pass to «blame it on the alcohol» :P Besides, it makes for an entertaining evening – and it certainly did for me, which is why I will be back again one day soon!
