I loved this place! I’m obviously not the most experienced when it comes to Pakistani food because I definitely didn’t grow up around it, but I know delicious food when I eat it and this place has the good stuff. It’s not super authentic, there were some foods that were def Chinese in origin, but 80−90% of the buffet was delicious Pakistani food which was good enough for me. In particular: I loved their daal, their naan was super duper soft on the inside and crispy toasted on the outside, mmm so yummy! I forgot to ask for garlic naan so I guess I need to come back to try that. Hmm what else… there was a lamb dish that I really enjoyed but can’t remember the name of, as well as a curry potato dish that was unreal. The chicken tikka was only ok. I may be wrong but I didn’t see any paneer dishes and that made me sad, but I guess the selection changes constantly so I guess I have to go back! People have commented on the biryani being dry. When I first got there I tried it and it was definitely dry. I think it had been sitting for a bit(I got there at 2 in the afternoon). About 5 minutes later they removed the biryani from the line-up, and then maybe 20 minutes later(just as I was patting my big ol full belly) they brought it back out refreshed. I thought aw heck, well maybe I can fit a little more, and OMG! The biryani was now SOGOOD! Lovely saffron flavor and wonderfully perfectly moist! So if you go and the biryani is dry, say something and maybe they will refresh it. Service is good. They are hands off which I like, pretty much just made sure I had enough to drink and offered me naan refills as needed. Definitely my favorite Indian buffet in Houston thus far!

Disappointed! Tried this Pakistani restaurant on our last day in Houston. A down to an amazing trip. After reading amazing reviews we decided to try it. It’s located in the Pakistan/Indian dense locale. Ambience was okay. Can be better of course. They had unnecessary food options like hummus and sandwiches that don’t go with their cuisine. Biryani was stale, Haleem tasted like daal, their speciality mezbaan chicken was re-fried so many Times that it was inedible. Chicken tandoor was dry and lack flavor! And Chinese section was so poor that it felt like a amateur cooking. Deserts were poor as well. Custard was somehow pink in color, kheer was watered down. Only Gajarella was acceptable. They better improve their food choices by narrowing the buffet section and improving the quality of items. I think People would still come if the quality is better than quantity. Good luck to them.

Love family restaurants. My friend, which USED to dislike Indian food change her mind after trying this place. Quit surprising when she told me she had Indian food and felt in love with it. I am super curious now I must try this place. There’s no way I’m not trying this place out so I did the next day. Did not got disappointed at all and it was seriously surprisingly good. They have buffet or u can also order off the menu. I went for lunch and had buffet for $ 10 per person. They have a vegan section and of course variety of different meat options that is cook in different ways and different sauces. There is a lot of good Indian restaurants out there, but for the price and quality I think I just discover my new favorite Indian restaurant.

If you are looking for a Saturday/Sunday lunch buffet other than Haveli in this area, give Mezban a try. The selections were excellent and the food was fresh and well made, very original to its Pakistani roots. From the chicken Tikka, to the chicken biryani to the veggie pakora, everything was very good. You will not be disappointed.

Came here spontaneously on a dark, rainy Wednesday night. I was first craving Chinese food, but at some moment on my commute home I was struck with desi fever. I told my wife to meet me outside the house, «We’re going to a Pakistani buffet» I uttered as she handed me two capsules of ibuprofen. On our arrival to Mezban we entered into an empty cafeteria like dining hall to the tunes of Atif Aslam’s «Tu Jaane Na» I began with my first plate of chicken biryani, chicken tikka, palak paneer, veggie pakora, Mezban Chicken, CTM, and a bowl of haleem. Every item on my plate, except for the biryani, was fresh, hot, and tasty! The server brought fresh naan to our table. His service was excellent throughout our feast. I also had the nihari and more Mezban Chicken. My companion and I thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We will return whenever we strike desi fever again :-) Desserts were mediocre.

I ate here after a long time. Tareq, the manager was friendly and courteous as usual. The waitress was friendly and nice. Food was great. It was delicious. The place seemed to have gone through renovations. I like the new décor better. I also like the open kitchen concept and it shows how clean the place is. Food again was great!

Went today for the first time with family for a lunch buffet and wow… amazing food! We came super early to make sure we got the first batch of food and to avoid heavy traffic of people coming in for lunch time. What stood out to me the most was their chicken tikka legs and thigh/breasts… oh my goodness, they were absolutely mouth watering and so juicy and flavorful and seriously the best level of perfection. I could see them grill them on skewers and then bring them out fresh every time! What also stood out to me was their gosh paaya! Absolutely flavorful and juicy and the right amount of texture and tastiness! P.s — Their naan was super soft and just the right amount of crisp as well, it tastes amazing with their gosh paaya I mentioned above. P.s — Get their garlic naan if possible, yes it’s an additional 2 $, but it is so worth it!

This place is a hit and miss. Pro: for when im indecisive because it’s a buffet and I could pick and choose what I want. Friendly staff Cons: their menu changes on the daily. One day they’ll have something I like and the next to I come back to get it, it’s not on the buffet menu. Lollipop chicken is my favorite, why you no have it everyday :/ They have flan which I love but their flan is on the burnt side . Desert bar is lame :/

One of the best indo /paki buffets me and my wife have visited. Food is excellent and its fresh. We happened to show up while a big party was being catered to so service was a little slow at first but she was on top of it after this and did a great job. Everyone who works there is real nice and helpful.

Probably the best Indian /Pak buffet we have tried in Houston. Good selection of meat and vegetarian dishes, reasonable clean, and fairly priced. There was a good chat area, and also several hot dishes with lamb, chicken, goat, and paneer /vegetarian.

Mostly excellent food. One of the better buffets in little India. Nonveg heavy but heavenly biriyani and mutton dishes. Have visited three times now, and Its now my go to buffet place in hilcroft. Service is usually excellent but if you get the short black haired girl in the ponytail who smiles all the time, you are in for a treat. Best service in an Indian restaurant so far from her. Things to try — beef haleem, chicken biriyani, goat karahi, mezban chicken(deep fried) and nihari.

Good atmosphere Excellent staff Food is just ok Not crazy about this place. There are many better options in the area. Also, it’s advertised as a Indian/paki restaurant but but its mostly paki. I’m Hispanic and may not know a whole lot but it didn’t seem like they had a lot of Indian food. Tandoori chicken was good Mango Lasi needed to be colder Goat rice was just ok Goat Biryani was a 2 out of 5

Overall, if you’re in a pinch and want to have a cheap Indian buffet, this is your place. Had a Friday night dinner at Mezban this past weekend and although I wasn’t super impressed with the selection, but for the price it was good enough, I enjoyed their fresh naan, tandoori chicken, slow cooked beef, chicken biryani(although a little dry). I only wished that they had a little more vegetarian dishes. Probably won’t be back but I’ll continue looking a good Indian/Pakistani buffet in Houston.
