Somebody said it was adequate and that’s pretty accurate. We got a couple of Gyros to go and we both felt they were quite dry. We enjoyed the sweet potato fries more than the regular fries. Just too many other places to try in the area.

I went there for a comedy show upstairs, which in itself was horrible, but I’m not sure if they are affiliated in anyway other than possibly renting the place to Haywire Comedy club, so this review is strictly on the restaurant part of the location. It’s very plain downstairs, you come in and no one greets you. It’s like the joy is sucked out of the restaurant. My friend and I order our food to eat while we watch the show. We both order burgers which come with fries, but we have to pay extra for the drink. First of all, the lady gives us our food, no greeting or anything, and she doesn’t give us any sauces or extra napkins. I ask her for it and while she’s gone my friend and I dive into our burgers. The bun was so soggy that it ripped through to the meat, the meat was so dry that it couldn’t even stick together. As soon as I picked it up, it fell apart. After like 2 – 3 bites I sat it down because it was ridiculous to eat and have things fall onto the plate everytime you pick up the burger. So I didn’t eat it anymore because I’d rather starve than look like a 2 year old. The burger tasted so weird. I don’t know if it was because it was so charred or the spices they used on it, but something was wrong with it. I started on my fries, the first one was crispy in the edges and raw in the middle and I thought to myself ‘maybe it’s just one fry’ so I keep eating, the second one tastes like the same, and so does the third one. Im hungry so I start playing eni meni myni mo and try to figure out which ones are good enough to eat, turns out every single fry there was crispy in the edges, raw in the middle. I push the plate to the edge of my table because I’m pissed and at first I wasn’t gonna pay for the burger but now Im not gonna pay for the meal. The show sucked, the service sucked, the food sucked. The only thing they got right was the canned coco cola– which I did pay for because it was delicious and worth the money. My friend also had the same things happen to his burgers but he was too hungry to care.

I was here on a business trip. Good atmosphere, and the bartender Natalie was super nice. Cute too. :) either way this is a fun place. To get a quick drink and some bar food. I would come back here again.

The morning staff here are consistently the worst. We’ve come to this diner quite a bit because of its close location to our apt so we’ve dealt with them a few times. The morning staff are constantly on their phones, act as though ordering and being there is a huge hassle and inconvenience for them, and on top of that aren’t even competent enough to get the orders correct. One lady especially is completely miserable and has a toxic personality… Funny how she is miserable until the time the check comes for that tip. Won’t be returning during the day purely out of their wait staff. The night staff has always been excellent and friendly. One would think the owner would start wondering why it is his or her restaurant has three tables and an empty restaurant on a Saturday morning while the surrounding diners such as Harry’s or Baby Barnaby’s have over 30 minute waits consistently. TL;DR: The morning wait staff are miserable, incompetent, and unbearable. The evening staff have always been excellent and friendly.

I just cant believe how disappointing this visit was, my kids and i have been visiting this place for quite a while, we drive from Missouri city just to eat and use their Wi-Fi, the waitres was a white like russian woman, she was not very friendly, she looked as if we owed her something, we usually get a gentleman with long brown hair, very nice guy, the place was empty but this woman was rude, and when we ordered i ordered only one meal for my son, and drinks for us, but there was a problem the Wi-Fi was not working at all,(we.went to eat and.use.WiFi) i asked a few times for them to see what was going on, but this woman kept ignoring my request, she even ask another costumer to check and see if i was telling the truth, soon after the fourth time, i was already upset and wanted to cancell my ordere, and this woman said the meal was already on its way out, well this female lied, it took 10 min from that point to get my meal, and she had the audacity to just ask me if i wanted my meal to go, she did not even bother to fix my issue, not even an apology for the lack of attention to my need, we have eaten here and spend our gas, time and money, an were treated as if we were not welcome.

So it’s the middle of the night and you need a place to eat with a lot of variety… here is your place. Other than that… I don’t know why people would go here. The food was mediocre and no great deal. I’d personally suggest just going to a Denny’s for about the same price or less with better food.

Midtown Bar and Grill, open 24 hours, has a nice outdoor patio and very good food. Greek and Mediterranean food are my favorite. The owners are super friendly and laid back. I like the relaxed vibe there, and I really love the parties and events thrown there!

I have probably been to midtown bar and grill like 20 times. I love the food here, very affordable. It is not fancy what so ever. But great brunch spot.

Came here on a Saturday night after coming out of a movie much later than expected. Midtown B&G was not our first option, but it seemed like a solid enough choice with quick food and longer hours. Went for the Chicken Fried Chicken and it was solidly adequate. I feel like ‘adequate’ definitely sums up my experience here; no complaints with service or food but no big praises either. Friends that grabbed late night breakfast fare were satisfied. The décor is eclectic much like the patronage. Quirky spot for sure and a community staple with weekly events, from what I’ve heard. Mad chill.

This place was horrible… I ordered a pork chop breakfast and the chops had no flavor, they were not seasoned, not cooked through, they were cold, n my biscuit was burnt and just totally not good. And the crazy thing about it is when I got to the register she tried to make me pay for a meal that I had not even ate at all. Not at all! And we talked about it for a full 15 minutes that it was not good and I did not eat any part of the meal and she still had the nerve to tell me why is that of her concern when she can not do anything with the food and what do I expect her to do with it after I order it. As I explained that is not of my concern and the full plate is there and I will not be paying for something I did not eat. After all that to not have the attitude that the customer is always right n how can I make this meal better for you she told me she will deduct my meal but she never wants to see me walk through her doors again. Which I gladly explained that is something she does not have to worry about. I totally handles the situation with class when it was something I could have really got irrate about but I did not only to walk away learning that is why a lot of businesses get shut down do to the way they handle customer experience. N also when people are drunk they think Sh@t has a good flavor!

The food is OK but in my opinion overpriced for the quality of how it’s cooked and prepared. Better food can be found at House of Pies for a better price.

Love this place! I go here when I can… it usually ends up being 2 in the morning or for brunch. The quality of food is surprisingly good — I highly suggest the onion rings. They are unlike any I’ve ever had and typically I’m not a fan of fried food. Their bar choices(at least downstairs) are pretty limited FYI. I usually don’t go here for drinks though. I will say though that I have been here when it has been«busy» and the service wasn’t hot. It took a long time to get food and a large part of our order was missed. As long as you go when it’s not too busy and they are well staffed it should be a good, casual experience.

This place is like visiting your Greek cousin’s place. It’s decorated in the ‘down to earth, yet eclectic bachelor’, and this cousin loves to cook, and will fix you anything and everything. There’s a large menu, and it’s open 24⁄7. It’s friendly, easy-going, a — climb out of bed and grab a florentine omelet — place. The owner and waitresses are kind and personable. Again, extremely casual, so it may not appeal to everyone.

Great gyro & the portion was beyond generous! The meat was spilling out of the aluminum foil(check out the pic!) Next time I’m going to try their onion rings. Also, they have karaōke on Friday nights, sounds like fun!

Great late night spot. Everything on the menu is excellent. Breakfast, pizza and appetizers are cooked to perfection day or night. The calamari is particularly good.

This bar is tucked away closer to montrose area than midtown. We were at a meetup group and impressed the owner let us have the whole upstairs room to ourselves. I think MBG would be a great place to have a party. The upstairs room has a TV and plenty of space and trendy art work! The best part of the MBG is the food! The menu is pretty extensive for a bar and has a variety of food including Greek, American and sandwiches. We shared the Greek sampler platter and it was amazing! Large portions of at least 6 or 7 types of food. Meatballs, pasta with ground beef, spankopita, fillo dough filled with cheese, pita, sharma meat, pita bread and onions and tomatoes and a Greek salad. It was very affordable at $ 19 for the entire plate. Maybe they should take the bar out of their name. This would make a great restaurant that rivals Niko Niko’s!

First time visit at this restaraunt. 50⁄50 on returning. The food we ordered was good when we eventually got it but it took way too long for our simple order to be done. I must be watching too much bar rescue but it took 35 – 40 minutes for a burger and BLT and there were only 4 tables seated in the whole place at the time. The soup with the BLT was cold but the bowl was hot… go figure. The staff was nice but unless you have extra time for the slow service go across the street to Barnaby’s…their parking lot was full.

This place is great. The food is amazing especially the chicken fried chicken. The gravy was sensational. I’ve been here several times and I’m happy it is my new local bar\grill. The service can be a little slow at times but just speak up and you will always get what you want.

This place screams value. You will be surprised by the variety and prices on the menu. I have tried many things on the menu, and liked all dishes so far. The location is great, and there is always parking. I can see service taking a hit if they get slammed. They seem to operate light– but I have never had the need to complain.

I’m so glad this place is open again, especially since it seems like only the name and the décor has changed. And it’s a welcome late night option near the gayborhood that gives us a good alternative from the slow, unorganized mess that Katz’s has become. Any of their breakfast combos are great, but the chicken fried chicken and the chicken fried steak take the cake for me. Just don’t get their wheat toast, because it usually comes out hard and crusty. Stick with the English muffin.

So this is a bittersweet review. More like a promise not to go back and here’s why. The food is actually pretty good. Never had a problem with it. However the service wasn’t the greatest. When it came time to pay, we decided to split the bill ask use a 10% offer from Unilocal on each. Now. I understand that one may not want to split nor discount the bill because it affects tip. I planned to calculate tip off of the original price without the discount so that it wouldn’t skimp. However it took a long time for the waitress to come collect the check that we just put cash down and left. Enough to pay for the bill and cover top of course. Don’t blame the customer for using a coupon and please don’t blame me for the deal your restaurant made with Unilocal.I’m giving them 2 stars instead of one because the food is good. But the service is what made my visit my last.

Standard 24hr diner conveniently close to the Midtown bar district. Food is better than the previous West Gray Café that was in this location. There are several greek items on the menu, burgers, and the usual breakfast fare. Not too many vegetarian options so I usually stick with the vegetarian omelet which is prepared consistently good. The hash brown does not have much flavour but is crisp and you can always drown it in ketchup.

After living down the road from this restaurant for over a year I finally decided to give it a try on 09/09/2014. We placed a to-go order with a friendly staff member for spinach & artichoke dip, fried shrimp with French fries and the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and macaroni and cheese. Everything we ordered was horrible; so horrible my dog wouldn’t even eat the fries or the pieces of fried steak. The fried items, shrimp and steak, tasted like they were fried in old/dirty oil and lacked any seasoning. The fries were mushy, the macaroni and cheese slimy and I’ve had better spinach & artichoke dip out of my grocer’s freezer.

After passing this place a few times, I decided to give it a try since it has pretty decent reviews. This may not be the best place to come to for breakfast, but after hanging out in the Museum District on a Saturday, I was craving a Belgian waffle. Apparently, so was everyone else because they were out. Aida, the server, assured me the French toast was just as good, if not better. I’m typically not a fan of French toast, but it was good. However, it was a bit mushy, like they could’ve kept it on the grill a few seconds longer to make sure the inside was cooked all the way through.(I appreciate the fact that she asked me how I like my bacon since most places bring you something that resembles jerky without asking). The eggs were bland. Aida also recommended that I try the strangest peach Bellini — blended with too much ice, not enough champagne and some flavored syrup. 0_o She was super nice, though. Bless her heart. I’ll definitely pass on that next time. This place is supposed to be open 24 hours, so I’m willing to come back and try something else.
