It’s a cute little Shop that sells bread and sweets, however this one Asian lady who was taking our order was so rude to us for no reason. Thank God the cashier came and help us with our order and was very nice about it, but it ruined our shopping experience. I’ll still go and shop there, but someone needs to train the other lady to be more professional with taking our order.

Deceitful and cheap business. I should’ve listened to the other poor reviews. This place has not changed for the better but have gotten so much worse. I paid $ 3 – 3.50 for banh mi made with tough old bread I couldn’t bite into. I could accept the outer part being too crunchy, but the white inner part was so tough and dry. I think i can only eat the fillings, but it also tasted bit too old. Aside from selling old food, they also went cheap on the paper wrap. Its so small, the ends werent covered at all. It was a mess trying to eat it on the go. The lady selling gave me a strange look as she handed the sandwiches to me. She knew fully well what crap she just sold to me. While waiting for them to make my order, they insisted on trying to sell me other products that I kept repeatedly refusing. Bad business practice to sell off poor quality days old baked goods and lose customers. Rather buy from inside viet hoa market. Please don’t come here when there are so many other places. Force them to become better. *I called to complain and was told that I should’ve told them to get me the soft bread and not crunchy! Was it not supposed to be eatable in the first place!?! What BS. They’re not subway.

Was in the area and decided to try the vietnamese combination French bread sandwich(banh mi dac biet). I decided to order to go bc it’s not a nice place to sit and hang out. The French bread was good not dry, I like the meat but it was a little fatty. Veggies was fresh. Overall it’s good! I would come back and would like to try their pâté chaud.

Came here looking for macaroons. They didn’t have anything. I will need to go to the one bellaire. The road constructions are too scary for me to venture out there.

Terrible! I came here just bc its location on Bellaire was awesome so I expected the same thing here. But no, this store is totally gross! I was with my bf and he doesn’t speak Vietnamese so I thought it would be funny letting him talk to the women there. They turned out being so rude & started to call my bf «a trouble» in Vietnamese while he was just trying to ask abt the items. We bought 2 banh mi and they were so dry and only had a tiny little of pickle, which was very cheap. I even saw the woman worked there picked up food that felt on their dirty floor. We wanted to buy their coffee but after seeing how little it was in the cup, we just left(though that I always buy coffee b4 when I go to their other stores). So unless you’re Vietnamese & want to lose your hard $$, don’t come here.

This is my go to banh mi cha lua place. They give you a good amount of cha lua and I always get extra butter and pâté. YUM! Their rice and chicken plate isn’t bad either.

If you’re looking for sweet treats, this is your place. LOVETHEIRALMONDANDCHOCOLATECROISSANTS! They are HUGE, HUGE, HUGE, HUGE and DELICIOUS! Did I mention HUGE? Plus, they are reasonably priced for pastries. I have yet to try their other ethnic desserts. I’ve gone to Le Madeline to buy croissants and they give you a fourth of the size and their croissants are double the price. Trust me, they will not let you down. Don’t hesitate and just go! If you’re looking to buy Vietnamese sandwiches, I would go somewhere else. They don’t give as much as other top notch sandwich joints like Lee’s Sandwiches. Moreover, they charge a little too much for a smaller sized sandwiches. Overall, if you’re looking for a cheap meal, this is a place to try out. For those of you who do not eat pork, go else where. Most of their meals consist of it.

Went to get 2 pastries but sadly could not communicate… Clerk ended up wrapping 2 plain croissants, 1 almond croissant and some other pastry I didn’t even know how. More I tried to explain that I needed only the 2 plain croissants, more she insisted it was 3 for $ 2 so I should get one more, the almond is their best selling piece so I must keep that one etc. In the end I was so tired of trying, I said fine and she finally started calculating. That 3 for $ 2 deal did not work somehow because she charged me $ 2.50 for the plain ones, $ 1.50 for the almond and some more for the last piece of pastry. While I was waiting to pay, another lady in the back was taking pastries from the trays and putting them on display shelves… She dropped one of the trays, then quietly grabbed all the dropped pastries from the floor and placed them on the display shelf!!! Safe to say, I won’t be back.

Oh I still love this stopping by this place, what made me laugh was that even though they makle their own cakes, I hope; I have no idea why I saw two different cake boxes there. One was from Jungle and the other from somewhere else, yes the jungle one even said Jungle on it with the email, and address lol. They have pâté chauds at $ 1.50 I believe it was Quay vit buns…$ 1.50 cream cheese, yum, yum puffs at $ 0.60 Sandwiches at 2.25+ Kool aid, no idea the cost… cherry Soybean milk, more asian drinks like pennywort, honey seed, and soda, and tea pork and egg buns some okay tasting eggrolls french bread(of course) Ham and cheese croissants chocolate croissants vietnamese sandwiches(banh mi) sometimes banh cuon– the rice paper with ground pork, etc A bunch of other goodies! Honestly, we all have different taste buds, but I really do like their viet sandwiches… oh and the pâté chauds!

excellent pastries, sandwiches — Banh Mi, french bread. iced coffee — very strong and good. The service is very fast and friendly. Definitely drop by and pick up some goodies. They have a new location on Bellaire close to beltway 8 and it is just a s good with more selection of food. they have beef stew that is to die for and a korean beef sandwich with fried egg — everyone must try this one!!!

If service was consistantly good, this place would be five stars. I order my Vietnamese eggrolls here whenever I need a potluck idea, or an easy and filling appetizer for a party. They are quite large(five inches long and one ince wide) for being only 50 cents a piece. I place my order in advance so I don’t have to wait. I also order their ham and cheese croissant sandwiches. DELICIOUS. They’re great for parties at a little over $ 1 a piece, but the croissants are HUGE(soooo flakey and good, especially when warmed up). Again, another great potluck idea. CASHONLY.

I stopped to get a pork pastry for tea. The pastry itself was really good(dough was crunchy, flaky, and light), but the filling was bland, dry, and grey. I chose this particular pastry because of reminded me of the bakeries at home in Malaysia, but the taste was far from anything appetizing. They need to spice it up!

This Parisian Bakery is my current favorite stop for breakfast every morning while going to work. They open really early with all the pastry goods ready for sale. I would usually get a banh mi that I save for lunch and another pastry for breakfast. The banh mi is your typical banh mi, but at least the taste is good enough. Although the price is a bit higher than other joints, but I would rather pay them the higher rate because the other joints at the same area doesn’t have a good of a banh mi as this place. Unfortunately one of the downside for ordering banh mi very early morning is that there’s certain ingredients that may not be ready. For example this morning I felt like eating banh mi xiu mai(meatball banh mi) but the lady told me that the meatballs weren’t cooked yet. So I ended up ordering the banh mi dac biet(the special combination) as those cold slice meats are there and ready to be served. I have also tried their croissant with butter and it is very good. The thin layers of croissant in the middle was very crispy and the butter gives it a nice, rich delight to it. Another thing I had for breakfast was their steam bun. I didn’t know what was going to be in the filling but I do know it was going to be some sort of meat. Once I bit into it, I was surprised to find out that they had ground pork with green onion but they also added sliced Chinese sausage and half of hard boiled egg in the bun. This bun was so good that I thought about buying 9 of them to bring to my coworkers just to let them have a taste of the Vietnamese style pork bun. There’s other food all shrink wrapped and placed in front of the cashier counter for you to pick up and take to go such as the spring rolls. They also serve croissant breakfast sandwich but it cost way too much compared to the banh mi. One thing that may discourage people is since this is Vietnamese run, it may be intimidating when you order something in near fluent Vietnamese pronunciation, they would start speaking Vietnamese back to you even though you’re not Vietnamese. Also this is a cash only place so be sure to bring enough cash for your breakfast or lunch. Overall, it is a great local owned bakery that I will continue to support until either they raise the price too high or their quality of the food changes.

Best time to go is in the morning when the boss lady isn’t there. The sandwich maker would make fat sandwiches and the bread is at its freshest. The sandwiches are good but it isn’t as good as some of the other places in Houston.

im giving this a 4, but i think id give it a 5 if they had more variety somehow. banh mi are basically commodities, but i think ive gone here so long its now my baseline banh mi. my one big tip about this place is if you go more in the morning/afternoon they have freshly made danishes and crossaints, but also these incredible meat filled savory bread things, usually along the lines of chicken/chargrilled beef/egg/onion/coconut/bacon/bread.. im vietnamese and im not even sure if they’re like ‘accurate’ because ive never seen them before, but they are brilliant, they hit every taste profile at once. also they’re cheap.

I visited this place to see if they are up to par with the original one on Gessner. The Banh Mi was ok and cost a little more than the Gessner location. It lacked flavor, though. I couldn’t taste the Maggi or Dayat seasoning sauce. The pâté and mayo was bland. Maybe they didn’t put enough. I don’t know. The homemade mayo is what makes or breaks a great tasting Banh Mi. This place had a lot of pastry, desert, and baked goodies. Every where you turn you see sweets. There were more pastries, baked goods, and deserts in this place than there was room to sit. There was only four tables in this place and I had to wait for a table to enjoy my light meal. I am always adventurous when it comes to food. I tried several new Vietnamese pastries that wasn’t bad. None of the goodies I bought were too sweet which I like. I hate super sweet pastries. I am definitely coming back to try all the sweet goods here. So what this place lacks in great tasting Banh Mi, they make up with the large selection of sweet goods.
